Picked up TWO 9395s at TRU for $50. There are no reviews on this one... Any insights... I know Technic is exclusive and not necessarily universally loved...

Hello folks, what is your opinion on getting some service trucks as an investment? I was stopping by my local TRU last night and saw they had 3 or 4 left for 139 each. I did not buy them right away because the price seems kind of high. I wanted to ask for your opinion as I am still relatively new to this and my feeling tells me that Technic sets grow at a much slower rate than other sets. Thank you.

Promobricks are claimng this set will be launched later this year. I am thinking it is more likely as a summer 2020 set but let´s see.

1166 pcs, first available in US Aug 1, 2016. I'm not a Technic builder (yet) but I really like this set. I like the pneumatics, all the functions are neat, and you don't see that many Technics with this much black - it looks great. There's a lot of great Technic sets out this month, but I may just have to build this one.

I'm looking to buy a new Lego for my 7 year old son and was just wondering what was the age that most of you started using the more complicated Technic models?

I noticed that there has been very little mention on this forum of the old Model Team sets or older Technic sets. I remember as a kid, I always wanted Model Team sets but never got them (though thats not to say that my parents didn't provide a good supply of great lego sets). In fact, when I got my first job, the first thing I bought was a 10151 Blue Fury (luckily it was soon after the re-release so it was easy to find MISB). However, it wasn't until recently that I was able to start fulfilling the rest of my childhood Lego dreams. In January, I finally got my hands on 8448 Super Street Sensation and built it. I was honestly very disappointed when I saw 8070; it's ve…

1,677 pcs. Available January 1st 2021 - $169.99/€179,99/£169.99. This ~$150 price point has been offering some nice sets as a step down from the more expensive Supercar sets. This one could be easily modified to not include all of the stickers and still have a model that is recognizable. I cant wait to display this next to my Porsche 911 RSR.

Anyone see this at TRU yet? MSRP is $40 so can easily be had for less then $32. I was thinking of adding one of those "pull back" motors but think I would need to remove the steering function.

I was thinking of adding Technic to my investment. Wise? Sorry I missed out on the orange Porsche. Anything in current line that may do just as well? I do like the white Porsche RSR. Thanks

Brickset has the release for this bulldozer and it look massive. Yellow treads seems interesting, but maybe that's how they roll off the factory floor. https://brickset.com/article/63317/first-look-at-42131-cat-d11-bulldozer A quick trip to the Cat page and it looks like the yellow treads are correct.

I just placed an order for 4 unimogs yesterday. The max allowable was 5 yesterday. I logged in to look at my order and noticed that the available for purchase is now up to 99. This happened to the Vampyre Castles on my last order and now they are sold out. If you don't have any UNIMOGS it may be time to get them. Unfortunatly no free christmas sets or employee polybag. Oh well.

I have an old 8297 Off Roader, I noticed on ebay people are successfully selling them for $400+ I rebuilt mine, intending to sell it and get a good $200 for it (doesn't include box) but I encountered a problem- missing piece. One of the big plates with the grate sticker on it used for the hood, id is 4524663 (the one that goes on the left of the hood from the drivers point of view) Without this piece, I doubt I can get very much at all, no where near what I'm hoping to get.. Does anyone know where I can get a hold of one of these? I'd be willing to buy it off someone

Hi there, I must confess that I am not a Lego collector. However since I am planning on moving soon I started emptying my closets last weekend. Next to a lot of old stuff I happened to come across a never been opened box of Lego Technic bought in Germany in 1986 with the number 5580. The box is in a good condition, has however some signs of bad storage (shame on me!) Since I am thinking about selling it: can anyone tell me what it's worth? I searched the forum earlier but didn't find anything about its value... So, sorry in advance if I am asking in the wrong section or if there is something about the value in this forum that I didn't find. Anyhow, I'…

So recently I discovered how awesome technic is from buying 41999s. Really only into the flagship sets. I've picked up a new 8275 bulldozer (nib for 330!) and a new 8043 excavator. Now I want a mobile crane. I read about the 8421, but recently there's the 42009, which looks more badass but not as motorized. What to do? Pay ~500 for a new 8421 or get the 42009 and mod it up to badass status? Which one would look more to sale with my other two models?

I recently was offered on Ebay a brand new, sealed 8458 for the price of $350 plus $20 for shipping. I understand that these sets are rare nowadays, and that some can go up to quite a bit. Although a total of $370 is a little bit over the budget that I wanted, is it still worth getting? Keep in mind that the set is brand new and sealed, and that these offers don't come often.

Is the current price of this at Walmart/Target (about $225 w/o tax) about as low as it can be expected to go? I've been eyeing this one up, and was wondering if there is a chance it ever gets below $200 or if it has before? Thanks much!
