I have an opportunity to get this set for $140 (30% off). Is this set a good investment?

Just bought a box bulk of Lego pieces at Toys R Us for 90% off. It's just a bunch of different pieces, not from specific sets. Employee said it's from February 2017 event? I guess it's from those kids event they host every month or so. I have no idea what price to list them at. they are 18 and 14 pounds of legos.

  3. Hi guys, just want to see if there are any graphic designers on here I can hire to do a sticker for custom minifig torso and legs. If so, please PM me. Thanks!

  4. Hi all, I joined this site in 2013 but have not logged in for many moons. I have a substantial collection of Lego City items from approximately 2006-2009... The flagship sets I have are 7945 Fire Station, 7744 Police Headquarters, 7993 Service Station, along with various supplementary sets. They are in good condition but used. I played with these toys as a kid, they didn't just sit on a shelf. It's time to clear out some of this stuff, I am planning to sell them on eBay. What I am wondering is, should I sell everything individually or as a lot? Appreciate any advice...

I recently have inherited over 1000 new sets of legos from the 1990's to 2016. They were from an estate of a gentlemen that bought them and hoarded them. I have been looking up the value of them on this site. As someone who is new to lego's, other than buying them for my son's. What is the best way to sell them? There are lots of Star Wars of sets, Holiday Trains, Green Grocers, Corner Cafes, just an overwhelming variety. Any information would be so helpful.

Hi, I was wondering if there were any ways to check stock of LEGO online. Whether there is a third party site that displays for many different stores, or if each store has a nice way? I live in the Midwestern United States, so my question applies to Walmart, Target, Meijer, Kroger(I know some of their superstores have LEGO), B&N, and Walgreens/CVS. P.S. I am asking because of Minifigure Series 18's disappearance.

  7. Hi all, I’ve noticed there’re 2 types of packaging for the set. Based on reviews on Amazon, one of them has missing pieces. which one is the one that comes with the correct manual and has all pieces? Set 1 or 2? Thank you!

I think so, I'm a DC and super hero guy, and there are allot of new Lego super hero sets that are coming out. Like the Avengers Infinity War sets are already out at Amazon, Lego.com, and Walmart. So I think the super hero sets are an investment. What do you guys think?

I'm a DC Lego investor and a City investor to, but what do you think of the Lego batman movie sets as an investment? I have a five foot batcave, so I LOVE DC, and I'm looking at some of the Lego batman movie sets, and I bought some of them, I do however want to here your thoughts on the batman sets.

I am trying to decide whether buying Amazon sales is worth it. I see two, maybe three choices. 1. Wait and hope to find the set for sale at Walmart/Meijer/Target.(When I am saying this I am not counting a 40%+ clearance, that to me is a pretty much automatic buy if it is a set I like) 2. Get the set when Lego is doing a promotion(The automatic 5% from ViP points does matter). 3. Get the set when Amazon puts it on sale.(Normally 20% is what you can get) Which choice is the best? I understand that deals like the 60 years of the brick aren't common. I also assume I would hit free shipping on either SaH or Amazon. Thanks!

I have an old dinosaur from set 7297 or 7476. It barely lights up any more. Is there any way to change the batteries?

  15. Hey guys, I've gotten in to designing and building MOC's only recently and have been loving the speed champions series so I wanted to make something in the same sort of style. However for the car I am currently designing to work I need to use piece 50745 (the lego city type of wheel arches) for some colouring detail. Now in LDD (Lego Digital Designer) they allow me to use the speed champions style of wheels (part: 18976 with rubber part: 18977) underneath these, however I can see a little bit of clipping. This might just be due to it being low poly models (low detail). Now I was wondering if someone could test in real life wether or not these wheels would fit or…

  16. Will the currently released modulars still gain value after retirement, or have enough people caught on to what has happened in the past? I guess what I am asking is will the Palace Cinema appreciate like Fire Brigade or Green Grocer? I feel like enough people should have caught on to this trend, that modulars won't appreciate in value nearly as much as the old ones have, but will they still appreciate enough that a profit is made if you buy them and keep them Mint in Box?

  17. Started by FM,

I recently sold 5x 31059 (Sunset Street Bike) to a buyer in Florida. Buyer has 500+ feedback, 100% positive, and has no items for sale. Today I received this email to my gmail account (not an ebay message), with the buyer claiming to be a dealer in Japan. Does this look legit? Is this normal practice? Is the Florida/Japan inconsistency a red flag or is Florida his buying clearing house? I've only worked with other dealers on small one-time sales so I'm sniffing for a scam if there's one here. Thanks for any advice in advance! Hello My name is xxx xxx. I am retailer in Japan. I sell 200 foreign products and make $50000 each month in Japan. T…

I've been out of the loop for a bit so forgive me if this has been discussed or covered. Im trying to figure out why Brickclassifieds won't load on my 'puter. Are they defunct or rebuilding their site?

I found this TIE Pilot helmet in some used stuff I bought. I thought I heard that people collect them, but is it really worth trying to sell it? Is it only marginally more value than a good one?

  20. Started by Hnnhddd,

Does anyone know what minifigure (from the series ones) these feet belong to? I took them all off the bases to clean them, and can’t seem to figure it out.

  21. I’m about to go on a spending freeze and won’t be buying any new sets until Father’s Day. I am making one more purchase and think it would be best to pick up a set that might be retired by the summer. I’ve been reading the retirement speculation thread, but haven’t seen talk about any of these sets except for the train. Which is the following do you think will retire in the next six months? -Old Fishing Store -Winter Train (I’d prefer to buy this next winter but worry it won’t be around). -Parisian Restaurant (I assume this will be the next modular to retire). Thanks for looking into your crystal ball. I’ve only been building for a year and I’m trying to learn th…

Right so I've only tested the water a little in the last month since I started 'investing' in Lego. I've picked up a few freebies from Amazon and a few random cheap bits on Facebook market place too. Just wanted some advice on which of these sets I should keep hold and which I should try and shift more quickly. 75155: Rebel U-wing Fighter 21306: The Beatles Yellow Submarine 71016: Kwik-E-Mart Speed Champions Lego Ferrari F1 Lego Speed Champions 75881 2016 Ford GT & 1966 Ford GT40 Building Set 2 of Speed Champions 75878 "Bugatti Chiron" Building Set LEGO DC Comics 70902 Batman Movie Catwoman Catcycle Chase Batman LE…

Hi, I have a quick question about selling my sets - it looks like the Trading / Want Ads / For Sale forum is quite active, but also I've seen links to www.brickclassifieds.com. Which is best? Can I use both?
