Just wondering how much percentage of loss there is on used/built sets? Of course in mint condition......Lets say sets in the areas of UCS Star Wars, Tumbler, Creator Builds...

So I see a lot of nasty Mega in here. Only manuals that link to anything decent is for Destiny's Bounty and the Gallardo. Hi, I've been buying and selling toys (including Lego) for several years, but always sealed sets. Well, I bought my first bulk lot from Craigslist this week and I'm not sure if I have something that I could make money on or something that was a waste of money. Hopefully you can help! I'll take pictures tonight, but wanted to get this post up now to see what the initial thoughts are. Total lot was about 40lbs and no minifigures. It was being sold by a mom who's kid(s) wanted to keep the minifigures. She included a bunch of the instruction booklets, but none are mint at all. I have just aquired some vintage lego circa 1960 and in the process of finding values for them. I'm coming up strong on some but not so on others. One set that I can't seem to find much info or rough value on is a large 700/3 set. I have attached some photo's and hopefully someone can shed some light. Many Thanks, Marcus

Why does Lego state early purchase of new sets for VIP memebers only and when you go to Toys r Us they are on the selves?

Hi all, I'm pretty new here and also revisiting lego (as my son is now of an age that has rekindled one of my childhood joys), so please be gentle. I'm over in NY working next week, and had been looking on the US lego website to see if there was anything that was available in the US and not in Europe. As an example 41627 (Luke Brickheadz) seems to still be available, yet is discontinued in the UK. Are there any recommendations on (smalls I have to get them home), items that I should be looking out for? And any goods stores to recommend visiting in NY ? TIA

Here is an oddity: I have an Ebay sale of a $600 Lego item on 3/26/23 . 3/27/23 I use UPS label to send the parcel to Glendale Heights, Illinois, without being specific it's an industrial park with a real name and "care of" business address. 3/28/23 customer messages saying he got a refund and the parcel couldn't be sent internationally. I also get a refund message from Ebay saying there was a problem and both buyer and seller were refunded. I check the UPS tracking number. It was delivered, only problem is, that's not the buyer's address. During messaging buyer tells me he is Canadian with a Canadian address. Ebay gave for the shipping label an address dom…

Ive bought some random bags with minifigures inside. Its obvious I need to open it to check the content? \Whats the best way to do this to maintain maximum value?

Just curious. In my office we all use laptop connected with a big monitor, so while doing my work on the big monitor I also open Lego shop, Walmart, ToysRUs etc. on laptop's small monitor, and issue on-line orders from time to time. But a few days ago our manager told us do not abuse company's internet service, maybe company is not happy that we doing e-business while working. I'm a DC Lego investor and a City investor to, but what do you think of the Lego batman movie sets as an investment? I have a five foot batcave, so I LOVE DC, and I'm looking at some of the Lego batman movie sets, and I bought some of them, I do however want to here your thoughts on the batman sets.

I'm new to LEGO and have to admit to being overwhelmed at the number of Star Wars sets now 20% off this week (and, by overwhelmed, I mean both me and my wallet). I've already bought a few of the smaller sets, but I don't have the history to know whether now is really the time to pick up some of the premium sets or if I should be waiting for bigger deals, such as the 25% or even 30% off deals that I see being posted in some of the non-Star Wars areas. I'd appreciate the perspective of members who've been around for a few years!
