While cleaning out some boxes in storage recently, I came across two LEGO pieces that my wife got about a decade ago from a friend. She had completely forgotten about them, and we knew nothing about them other than where they came from. I have the male and female Nvidia LEGO keychains from E3 in 2005. I tried to do some research on them to learn more them, but there was a surprisingly small amount of info on the internet. All I learned was that they were a promotional give away at E3. The only real article on them that I could find said that they were "extremely rare", and currently there is only one of them listed on eBay, and it's just for the male. Anyways, c…

  2. There is clearly a disproportionate amount of British (Paris and US) themed sets of iconic structures than the rest of the world...but it seems pretty blatant for the rest of Europe considering Lego's homebase. Anyone have insights to why this is? There are such incredible castles, buildings, skylines, and ofcourse historical monuments all over Europe and it's baffling to me why the representation is so uneven.

I got one of the postings on Craig's List. The one we always dream about. A young lady offered to sell her duplo: 10515 princess Ariel http://www.brickpicker.com/bpms/set.cfm?set=10515-1 for just $10. I bought it. Factory sealed. It's amazing. I asked her where she got it. She said she thinks Amazon. I checked Amazon, $80+. I kind of feel bad for the girl. But it I have two questions, that kind of go together. Why is this set so valuable? It's Duplo! And should I hold on, or flip it? The questions go together because i don't understand why it's so expensive, and since I dont understand I fear it's a bubbl…

I am not good at MOCing things from scratch (modding official sets is as good as I get?) I was wondering if there are any reputable MOCers that will MOC me up a set if I pay them. What i'm looking for is a Microscale model of the USS Stark or just a set of instructions. I looked at the moc shop on bricklink but it looks to be dead.

Does anyone know what minifigure (from the series ones) these feet belong to? I took them all off the bases to clean them, and can’t seem to figure it out.

  8. Started by schmidtywerben,

Not sure if this has been asked yet or not, but I recently got some new Minifigures from Series 15 and my wife pointed out that there were no longer any holes in the top of the heads. I know there used to be and so many articles pointed it out as a safety factor for minimizing choking. Anyone happen to know why these were eliminated?

  10. I have the most difficult request I've had in quite a while for a children's museum in... Russia. They are wanting 14lbs of the medium azure bricks, parts and pieces. Just a few weeks ago I was able to scrounge up 4 lbs of these rarities, but I'm at a loss as to how I'm going to come up with that much of such a rare color. Anyone have any recs other than the shop.lego.com website pick a brick?

How do you guys do the street in front of your modulars? Street plates? or plates and tiles?

  12. Hey guys, can anyone help me ID this decorated tile? It's part 3068 2x2 tile, and it's grey, and I just researched for about an hour on Bricklink and couldn't find it. Any help would be appreciated. I may have 3-4 of them total. Thanks in advance!

  13. This is really just a general question, but if I wanted to sell of, say 100 sets, to free up some capital and space, do I list it all on CL, here, or where? I want to move some money elsewhere and refine my collection to things I want more. I want to sell this as one lot, not separate pieces. Thank you

  14. Hi all, Am new to the boards and looking to get some information on what Legos I have. Most of this has been in storage for awhile and just came across it from the childhood years. Everything that I have is probably from the 80's. Wasn't sure if just boxes were worth money by themselves, if ripped boxes on one side, both sides, etc. Going to try to put some pictures up and any info would be greatly appreciated on the value and sell value. I looked up the sell value for say the Wrecker Unit 1 6656 on here and says around $40 new, I look on Ebay and someone is selling for $249 new. This item 6656 and the cement mixer 6682 are the only items new in the box. Everyt…

I am not quite sure how to ask this question but here goes. I have a lot of loose lego, what is the best procedure to investigate which set or sets some of these lego go to. For instance; I have tons of yellow bricks, as well as black bricks, grey and light grey with many of them being flat 2x4, 2x6, 2x8, etc. 4x10, 6x20, and angular plates. You get the picture. I have many many white bricks, red, green, assorted blues, pinks, brown, tan and more. How do I start my research into determining what sets my bricks might belong to to see if I have any complete sets so I can get the building instructions for them? Or should I just say forget it and sell them in bulk lots. Any …

Just curious. In my office we all use laptop connected with a big monitor, so while doing my work on the big monitor I also open Lego shop, Walmart, ToysRUs etc. on laptop's small monitor, and issue on-line orders from time to time. But a few days ago our manager told us do not abuse company's internet service, maybe company is not happy that we doing e-business while working. If you want to take care of your Lego stuff what do you do in office?

  22. I bought lego treehouse 21318 from amazon, sold & shipped. Was excited on its arrival, but noticed that the seal tag does NOT have any code. Is this normal? The box is good condition, have a crease on on side. Should I be of concern of the no seal code and box condition? Enclosed is pic of the seal tag.

Are all the Lego Buildings like the 10243 Parisian Restaurant, Pet shop, 10246 Detective’s Office and others the same depth? I am thinking displaying them on a shelf, but not sure how deep the shelf would have to be. Any one have any suggestions? Thank you.

Okay, very silly question, and a very newbie question too - I have a couple of Chima characters whose pants have gone missing, and a couple of helmets too. How do I go about trying to replace them? From what I gather, Lego will not let you purchase mini figures, or even parts of them. I need to fix the little guys, but have no idea where to start. Also, i need to find a peach hand for a Han Solo...

Hi I've an old Lego I got when I was around 6-8yrs old, I'm 63 now. No number on the box. It has 12 compartments plus lift out centre section Original bricks are in, plus extras bought at that time or next few years, roof, extra 2,4,6,8 pin. Still have the bricks with signs on and some of the little sign and mounded figures. Anyone any idea of set numbers, value, etc
