A lot of sets have just "unretired" on the LEGO UK site. If it's not a glitch, it's BIG trouble for a lot of us!

Expand

It already happened to Pet Shop earlier this week. Was orderable for a couple of hours, and has now disappeared again.

It's likely just stock being returned + general incompetence of the people running TLG's site.

Some notable sets don't have the "retiring soon" or "retired product" tag anymore and are readily available again.

  • Star Wars Battle Packs: 75131, 75132, 75134
  • Creator Changing Seasons 31038
  • Creator Expert Sydney Opera House 10234 (back to TOOS -> another production run?)
  • City Deep Sea Exploration Vessel 60095
  • Technic Volvo L350F Wheel Loader 42030

Series 16 minifigures back in stock too, though those didn't receive a tag yet.

LEGO just took a giant yellow coloured dump in my attic for the laugh.

Merry turdmas everybody.

Don´t panic. The tag gets removed when it retires and they don´t put it back. These are just returns or inventory adjusments. Normal service will be resumed soon.

Not exactly true that Retiring Soon tags get removed when a set retires:

I agree (=hope) the unretirees are probably returns or leftover stock.

What about SOH though. Seems like we're getting another run of that or someone messed up and accidently set it to TOOS.

So where did Wall-E go all of a sudden on LEGO Shop at Home?

Expand

Regularly happens when a set is moved from status "Sold Out" to "Retired Product" that a set temporarily doesn't have their own page. It will resurface again as officially retired. :)

Is 75148 Encounter on Jakku retiring already? At least it's reduced from 69.99€ to 39.99€ on German LEGO Shop at Home.

impossible to find in any Local Store. Went for christmas haul today to get some x2 VIP Points, suprised with the absence of this set.
Rogue One dominated Lego SW on the shelves over previous ones.

Been today to 3 Stores in London, Pet Shop is available in every single store...

Well, if that is true I would be very pissed. I have quite a stock of 42030 :(

60095  Deep Sea Ex. Vessel also "unretired", very strange

Mystery mansion just unretired.

So have a lot of other sets. I just spoke to LEGO CS to confirm my recent WH order and.... it IS coming back! They're also sending me 4x Mystery Machines (from TRU complaint) so that'll be back too I think.

Ahhh... diddums... the QFLLs on eBay will be disappointed when nobody buys.

So glad I bailed out when I did.

So has 10218 Pet Shop. It now seems like the mass retirements we saw recently was a mistake and LEGO are trying to rectify it. We all know that the new website sucks and has been riddled with problems recently.

If LEGO are in fact unretiring sets, we're in really big trouble and you'll see a lot of bailers flooding eBay & Amazon for a very long time to come.

My dilemma... Do I dump my White Houses now or risk holding for 5 years?

What difference does that make to you? At least I made a lot of quick money and won't be lumbered with it all! Accept it, the game is over!
