I know Warner Brothers is very involved with Dimensions but to see little Gizmo is certainly a head turner. The Gremlins films were memorable in their blend of horror and comedy being one of the few 'creature feature' titles that worked in my opinion despite some of the critics and I hear a third one is possibly in the works to continue the story. I suppose by today's standards, the animatronics used look "unreal" or "cartoony" but they worked in tandem with the quirky camp of the films I think and since they were physically built I can believe or relate better than the modern use of computer generated content that, well, "looks nice". We still have a long way to go before any form of computer animation can truly match up with all the details of reality.

I guess I should have finished my thought. I assumed with all the talk of announcements and some hints of forthcoming sets (Voldemort anyone?) that some speculation or hopes for what is next would fit in.

I'm really hoping for at least one (new) incarnation of the Doctor (to be announced)

I know I'm in the minority here but I enjoy the game and look forward to tomorrow and E3. I think THIS will be the toys to life game and will only grow as time goes on.

I really enjoy it, as well. I can't play many video games because of some dizziness/nausea issues with fake 3D (I can't even watch when my husband plays first person shooters), but Lego games are some of the few I can play without risking revisiting what I had for lunch earlier. I started with the Star Wars games and then picked up Dimensions earlier this year when it went on a really good sale. This game has brought me out of my Lego dark ages- I'd let the hobby slide while in college and just never picked it up again after I graduated. Putting the game sets together reminded me of how much I loved building with Legos, and it put me on the slippery slope to ordering the EV and the Tydirium (the new, smaller one), and now eyeing the SC (and banging my head against the wall for not ordering the DS or MF when my brother told me I should- my reason? I didn't have space to display them!! I was an idiot!).

So, yeah, that's my long-winded way of saying that you're not alone, and I'm also really excited to see what gets added tomorrow!

Wow, a whole new build for the Portal. Not just a new Level, but an entire Story Pack. That's pretty cool! Shows how modular the Lego Dimensions game is set up. And all these worlds and characters can be mixed and matched over the entire game. It's quite brilliant!

Also note that in this new wave-2 the NFC tag-bases are all transparent gold coloured instead of the transparent blue of wave-1.

Are the Potter minifigs (other than Harry's hair) the same as the ones from 2011???

Nice, and people are worried about the Chinese knock-offs - This is becoming a trend that is a problem. phase 2 (12)

Okay, the Ethan Hunt minifigure & pack is friggin' awesome. Plus humorous to finally see Mr. T show up in LEGO form, and best news for any builder to get another hairdo (one I hope they reuse down the road). Harry Potter and Voldemort look slightly updated but barely; even the included minibuilds are rather similar to older polybag builds. While I realize the popularity surrounding the bizarre Adventure Time cartoon show, I can't get over how ridiculously retarded Finn's face on the box is. Well, he is a 'special' kid after all. Ha.
