I have devised a formula to max out profits on this. The key is finding a TRU that has ample supply which I did on my recent trip to Richmond, BC Canada.

Last week, when this was released, there were 15 boxes on the shelf. I walked in with a basket that has 16 pockets which I custom-made.

Key is 5 seconds per grab, then dump it into the basket for sorting.

5x16 = 90 seconds per set. Give or take an extra 30 seconds here and there.

I managed to sort about 15 sets in 30 minutes. Mind you, I was also cleaning extra Tiger Woman and the Spider Lady. I went back the next day and everyone asked me why there's no Spider Lady and they can't find any.

So 15 sets, 30 minutes, 15x16 = 240 packs.

Excess Tiger Women nets about 100% profit.

1 set is about 3.99x16x1.12(sales tax) = 71.64CAD, approx 55USD

sell for 89USD on ebay plus shipping, net profit of about 30USD after taxes.

So 30USDx15 = 450USD, so pay per hour ends up about 150USD/hour since it takes about an extra hour or 2 to repackage and ship.

For most BPers, 5 seconds per minifig pack should be easy. If you spend more than 5 seconds on each pack, you are doing something wrong.

Spider Lady is one grab, split second, done.

Witch, squeeze your fingers around, find the broom, done (2 seconds)

Werewolf, squeeze hard around, find the bone, max 3 seconds

Cheerleader, piece of cake, 3 second grab, grab 3 balls, done. 1 ball = head, 2 balls = 2 pompom

The one I'm stuck on is banshee, takes me 8 seconds, so it all avergages out to 5 sec.

So if you follow this formula, you should be able to haul in $150USD/hour based on quick grab. I've trained myself enough now that I can grab two packs at the same time, left hand on one, right on the other, this would reduce the smooshing time to about 3 seconds and the packs will still look brand new.

If you post a vid of you doing this and being a 100% on your smooshing, I'll donate a complete set to your cause!!

Edit: that's in store with your fancy Murse and 15 boxes on the shelf.

Darn it he figured out my 2 handed power smoosh technique :D

But, the reality is ever since minifigures plus started dumping their sets out there, and all of their customers got their cases to dump online, and target and walmart's 20,000 combined stores all got in 2 to 3 cases, this line is nowhere near profitable anymore.  But the horde has gone crazy… "there's money to be made".  Yeah, if you were in it two weeks ago. .

I was buying his story until the parth where he found a TRU with 15 cases on the shelf......

The one closest to me got at least 10 a week ago but TRU Canada's policy is not to sell cases to the public. They just cut the seals and dump them into a big bin.

I say at least 10 because it's still full a week later.

There is a lot of Dumping going on in this thread  ;)

i need a Tiger lady and a Wolf with bone.  I will trade Spider lady and Zombie buisnessman or my GG or my soul.

Greg please feel free to delete.

Huh? Delete pourquoi?

I grabbed the two missing personal collection ones tonight - Fly & Plant guy. Got lucky, only had to smoosh 4 packs... and found a tiger lady as well. My five year old was with me and was trying to smoosh the packs as well. It was pretty cute... he had no idea you could just use two hands and cut your time in half!

I finally finished cataloguing my strip style box from minifiguresplus and it had the expected distribution. At first I thought there were supposed to be 5 Spider Vampiress in a box and was worried I was missing some bags. Only after a thorough recount that I had 60 bags and some internet sleuthing did I learn that there are only 3 Spider Vampiress in each box! I like the strips that the bags came on as it makes storing the sorted bags easy but I would still like to pick up a display box if I can. As promised, here is what they look like on the strips. Each strip holds 12 bags and there are 5 strips per box. For the price it is definitely worth it. Combined with the discounted eBay cards from Target it was an amazing deal.

I think I'll pick up sealed a few more sealed figures to have 5 sealed sets and 2 open ones. It was a lot of fun to smoosh so many bags at my own pace at home. Takes me back to searching for the Mr. Gold I never found, even after buying 5 sealed cases.

I hope this clears up the strip style packaging issue for those of you not familiar with it! Don't let it scare you away from a good deal like this as it really is the same as a display case

I'm still jealous of everyone finding multiple boxes in store.  Since Sep 1st I have made 32 stops at various Walmarts, Fred Meyers, Shopko and targets and not a single one.  Luckily I have some family on the rural side of the state and they found a case at Target.  This has been so frustrating as it started with the release date which is also my daughters birthday and she thought it was cool that the release date was the same as her birthday.  After years of bad mouthing smooshers I gave in and smooshed some series 13 dogs and so maybe this is Karma catching up to me.  My smoosh guide is getting faded that I printed off a few weeks back.  Wish me luck heading back out again today.
