Reviews of LEGO Sets

  1. Started by ufema,

Couldn't wait to try it out. It's got a few "bugs". Very entertaining. Enjoy the video.

  2. I've built set 7782 The Batcopter: The Chase for Scarecrow. It was released in 2007 for $29.99, contained 293 elements, and 2 minifigs (dark blue / gray Bats and Scarecrow (glow in the dark head), the Batcopter , and a bi-plane. It was only 1 of 2 sets released in 2007 for the Batman 1 theme. I haven't built the recent 76011 Man-Bat Attack set which includes the latest Batcopter for a comparison. I bought this set 2 weeks ago and it's over 95% complete. The only missing elements are 1 pumpkin head (of 2) used in Scarecrow's gas bombs and 1 transparent green bowl (of 6). The pumpkin element is actually pretty scarce and is still exclusive to this set. …

Here is my new video. I'm in the process of filming the Teenage Mutant Turtle set 79116 Big Rig Getaway. Arriving in the mail tomorrow is the mini cooper. While I work on those projects here is the link to the Turtle Van Takedown.

I just finished this late last night. Great build. Steering wheel is a bit big. Best part is the front and back seats. A close second is the picnic set fitting in the trunk. Enjoy the video.

First of all...I really like black and red. There is just something about that color combination. Second, I had no idea who Jek-14 was. I saw this set on Amazon about 10-12 months ago. I thought the set looked really cool but had no vested interest because I was unaware of the Yoda Chronicles. When I finally got back from overseas this summer, I asked my kids. Boy did they rave about Jek-14 and his exploits. We watched the Yoda Chronicles together and I thought it was a funny series and the Jek-14 was an interesting character... So I bought the set. Just built it tonight. Only took an hour and a half with some "help" from time to time from th…

I just wrapped up this video. Way better than the previous sets. I was never a fan of the TNMT as a kid and didn't much care for the Lego sets either until now. This series of sets are a lot more realistic and dark. A really great build. The turtle mini figures are awesome.

  7. This is another cool set that I've wanted since 2012 when I came out of my dark age. Set 7780 : The Batboat: Hunt for Killer Croc was part of the Batman 1 theme (2006-2008). The set consists of 2 minifigures (Killer Croc and black / gray Batman), the Batboat (more like a swamp hovercraft), Croc's speedboat and jet-ski for Bats. Both small vehicles can connect to the Batboat independently. It retailed for $19.99 in 2006 with 188 elements. It can be bought used for between $75 and $130 depending on condition and completeness. Most eBay auctions are missing something when listed (manual, Killer Croc, stickers, etc...). Like most Batman 1 sets, many dark grays and b…

  8. I picked this one up at Target last night. It was a quick build, but it was fun. Sorry for the bad lighting. I will get better finished pictures later. Two large bags with one small bag in each. Bag and book 1. Bag and book 2. Just a few extra pieces.

  9. This thread will be like my previous builds (links below). Intro : While my last building post was a poll about which set to build next, I couldn't help myself. I wanted / needed to build the Lego Ideas 21108 Ghostbusters set. While I'm a bigger fan of Back to the Future films, I did watch Ghostbusters in a theater w/ my father and enjoyed . ...I'm also not going to surprise anyone by publicly stating 21108's design is far better looking than 21103's DeLorean. When the Ghostbusters set arrived, I immediately wanted to open it while my 21103 DeLorean sets are collecting dust still sealed. I'll will walk through the building process, take pics, discuss various top…

I just wrapped up editing together my first Mixels set. I'm really impressed with the whole thing. I feel like builders can spend hours creating there own mixels from these sets. Enjoy the video.

  11. I just wrapped up editing my first Guardians of The Galaxy video. I doubt I'll be doing any other videos till I can get my hands on the new Star Wars sets. Hopefully Toys R Us will set them out early.

  13. I've built set 7782 The Batwing: The Joker's Aerial Assault. It was released in 2006 for $39.99, contained 528 elements, and included 3 minifigs, the Batwing (prob inspired from the 1989 film), and Joker's helicopter (also inspired prob from the same film). A stand for the Batwing was also included that nicely integrates w/ the 7783 Batcave.7782's minifig to plane size comparison.Anyway, I've finally had a chance to buy this set (no box) at a decent price. I didn't take pics of the build process but did make some notes. Like most vehicles from the Batman 1 line, the main colors are mostly black with some dark bluish gray. pearl gold grills / vents are also used on the veh…

  14. This build was everything I wanted it to be. Believe it or not, putting together Benny was the best part because it brought back so many great memories from when I was a kid.

  15. Started by ufema,

I just wrapped up another Lego Train Video. It wasn't as exciting as the Cargo Train, due to all three cars basically being the same thing, but it look incredible zipping around the track. The Trains Station is really great. A really fun build. Enjoy the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wH-l9tQfsaA

This thread will be like my previous building ones (sets 10179, 10181 & 75059). Set 10226 first became available in Summer 2012. For more information about this popular plane, visit the Wikipedia page. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sopwith_Camel We will walk through the building process, take pics and discuss various topics like elements used / how. Unfortunately, I do not have the original mostly brown colored Sopwith Camel for comparison. Set 3451 from 2001 contained 557 elements while 10226 has 883. Box pictures below are from a Eurobricks.com review. The box is the exact size as the 10220 VW T1 van. I started the build and all anyone needs to kno…
