Reviews of LEGO Sets

  1. I've built set 7782 The Batcopter: The Chase for Scarecrow. It was released in 2007 for $29.99, contained 293 elements, and 2 minifigs (dark blue / gray Bats and Scarecrow (glow in the dark head), the Batcopter , and a bi-plane. It was only 1 of 2 sets released in 2007 for the Batman 1 theme. I haven't built the recent 76011 Man-Bat Attack set which includes the latest Batcopter for a comparison. I bought this set 2 weeks ago and it's over 95% complete. The only missing elements are 1 pumpkin head (of 2) used in Scarecrow's gas bombs and 1 transparent green bowl (of 6). The pumpkin element is actually pretty scarce and is still exclusive to this set. …

  4. Did something a little different. I purchased one of the kits designed by Chris McVeigh. I asked if I could do a video of one of his sets and he graciously accepted. Enjoy.

I just found this set 2015 at a Toys R'Us store near Charleston, West Virginia. I didn't waste any time building the model (without using the instructions) and writing up an article which describes the part selection, the build process and the finished model. The finished model is very detailed but pretty small. I enjoyed the build and think the finished model looks good. It is about average for a set in the Architecture series. It is a bit more repetitive and less engaging than some of the other models such as Big Ben, Eiffel Tower or UN Headquarters sets. The part selection includes rare and expensive parts, and is a great addition to a LEGO Architecture …

I got the Lone Ranger for Xmas and a set of power function to motorize it. Looks great with the high speed train under the tree. A really fun build and amazing detail. Enjoy the video. edit: skip to about 8:15 to see it under the xmas tree.

Despite the controversy on its category, this set is another large, impressive "play set" priced as a UCS set. Regardless, it's an impressive display with a load of figures and a wide footprint AND also a fun and sturdy play set. Here's the bags and books: 3 large instruction manuals and thankfully only a couple stickers. 15 numbered bags, 2 unnumbered bags, and 1 loose baseplate.

I am ecstatic about this set. It's not the scale of the set released in 2008 that contained over 1200 pieces, but with the price of 29.99, I'm happy. This one will make any kid happy. The base of the ship is made from pieces that you can only get by purchasing sets that are over 50 dollars and the playability is endless. I also like that the haul is designed out of Lego bricks and not a huge molded piece for the bath tub. As a kid I never cared for taking Legos in the tub. Enjoy the video.

I just wrapped up another Lego Train Video. It wasn't as exciting as the Cargo Train, due to all three cars basically being the same thing, but it look incredible zipping around the track. The Trains Station is really great. A really fun build. Enjoy the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wH-l9tQfsaA

I just finished this build. It's a detailed look at 75053 The Ghost paired with 75048 The Phantom. A solid build with a lot of playability. Lego accidentally placed two wrong pieces in the bag. They look similar in appearance. I had to order them so they are not included in the build. Enjoy.

It was more difficult that i thought. I should have payed attention to the 10+ age on the box. But my son enjoyed it. Let me know what you all think.

Hi BrickPickers, I am a blind Lego fan. My sighted friend and I have invented a system that lets blind people build Lego sets independently! You can see it in action at (If the forum messed up the link, type Lego for the blind, into Youtube and click on the first search result) and you can download our text-based instructions from legofortheblind.com! Thanks! P.S. Apologies if this topic is in the wrong place, I didn't know quite where to put it.

I just finished this massive project. It took so long. It's my first time capturing a technic build on video. I'm not sure why I went all out crazy, but I'm pleased with the results. I even included an extremely fast build on the Hovercraft at end. I hope you enjoy watching as much as I did building.

I was able to pick up a 100% complete, open Palace Cinema 10232 with box and manuals from Ebay. The Palace Cinema is, of course, part of the Creator "Modular" series and is considered Expert since it is labeled for ages 16+. It was released on March 1, 2013 and is the third corner building after the Cafe Corner and the Grand Emporium. The large red baseplate is unique to this set. It contains 2196 pieces, many dark tan and dark red, and retails at $149.99 USD. Some think the design is inspired by Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California. The set contains 6 minifigures and a black convertible, however, my review does NOT contain the convertible due…

I just wrapped up this video. Way better than the previous sets. I was never a fan of the TNMT as a kid and didn't much care for the Lego sets either until now. This series of sets are a lot more realistic and dark. A really great build. The turtle mini figures are awesome.

Before I get started, I'd like to thank Jaisonline for letting me use his review technique and for bringing us some fabulous reviews that I'm sure we all enjoy! In this review, I'll be building the 3828 Air Temple from the Avatar theme! I got this set rather unexpectedly at a yardsale for $10 dollars. It was in a box that also had a few other sets (incomplete and complete.) Thankfully, this set was mostly complete, and was just missing a few other pieces, the box, and the instructions. I've been able to complete the temple and I think that it is definately worth the thirty dollar retail price. There are 42 total steps for the temple. I'll start by building the …
