Building LEGO

Talk about the builds you have done. Were they fun, difficult, do you recommend it? Please share!!!

  1. Started by Locutus001,

Ever since I saw the movies I loved Star Wars. Being one of the most impressive vehicles on screen of course the AT-AT was something I wished for when I was younger, stay playing with LEGOs not thinking about investing ;-) There have been quite some AT-ATs and they all have something going for them, though since it's my first one I prefer the newest edition. Anyhow, I always would have loved to see a HUUUGE UCS model of this one. But as you all might be aware of there is nothing like it available. So some of you might already know those MOC AT-AT, but if you have not seen them before you might love them just as much as I do. (if you didn't know: MOC =…

  2. Please don't hate me, I am new to collecting and I think I scored a huge find. I purchased a large lot from someone local which included a millineum falcon 10179 used in the box. No manual but original box , with the box being in a 5 out of 10 condition. When I opened it up there are the majority of the pieces and the mini figs . Many of the pieces still in original bags, some in ziplock and some loose. It looks like someone started on it and gave up. I now know this is a once in a lifetime find and am so blessed to discover it.. Here is my question Because I am new, I don't know if it is better to: 1. Build it , opening the bags to see how complete it is? 2. Leave…

Hi guys, here is a little MOC I made of my favourite star wars poster, the Episode 1 teaser poster entitled 'Every Saga Has A Beginning' I loved the poster, thought it was so evocative and I wanted to try and recreate it in lego as a 3d Model. The shadow was a bit tricky at first but I am pretty happy with how it turned out - if anyone has any other ideas on how to improve it I would love to know! Anyway, there isnt much to this post as there is really only one angle this MOC works! Hope you enjoy and any feedback, comments and advice welcome. Thanks

Hi guys, I have just finished another micro landscape in time for the Battlefront Death Star DLC. I wanted to do something different from some of the other trench run mocs I have seen and so I chose the moment Han comes to Luke's rescue and shoots down one of the tie fighters. I really like the drama in this scene and Im really happy with the way it has turned out. The inspiration for Luke's Xwing and Vader's tie came from a post by 'BEAVeR' (http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=84301) however I really wanted to get R2 in this scene and so instead of a 1x2 white tile for the nose I went for a 1x1 and added a 1x1 blue stud to represent R2 behind the cockpit. Thanks…

Decided to make a little challenge for myself, wanted to make a Lego Bonsai having seen some very impressive MOC's, saw that 79002 was discounted and though "oo thats got a lot of leaves and brown bits" the other set that I looked at as a possible one to try it with was 9436 The Werewolf but thought it was a little low on the brick count and didn't have much "rock" so I guess I'm throwing it out to anyone else that fancies a single set challenge, Either 79002 or 9436. Build a bonsai tree and show it off. I've been working on one but I'm still not happy with it, looks too much like a bunch of bricks still.. I'll need to redesign

  8. Started by Grolim,

After setting up my Kwik-E-Mart and Simpsons house for display I decided I wanted to do something to display the 2 series of Simpsons CMF alongside them. This kind of design could be used for any set of CMF really as the 16 figs display on each section in front of the poly bag. Here's some shots: The 2 sections are hinged together and can be separated to display on different angles like this: Each figure sits on a 1x2 plate, so they stay put nicely. Nothing too difficult in the build, I stuffed around with different ways for attaching the CMF bag backgrounds and in the end decided to simply have the 4 edges jammed between 1 stud depth bricks. It'…

  9. Can someone tell me in fairly simple terms how you go about creating a MOC, for example if I was wanting to build a MOC of the building(s) I work in. I have never built a set before let alone a MOC. Can it even be explained in words? Pardon my ignorance here.

It is now Oct 31st where I am so lets have some Halloween fun. What is your favorite LEGO Halloween set/decoration/custom. I just saw this on Ebay and its cool: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Giant-LEGO-Pumpkin-Jack-O-Lantern-1-Foot-Wide-Halloween-Decoration-/151138425815?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item23308d5bd7

  21. I'm building a Palace Cinema set, and noticed one item is in the box but the wrong color. Is this worth it to report to Lego and ask for a replacement? It's nothing special just a 1x4 piece in the box is a brownish one and according to the manual it should be black.

I recently started the creation of a city made of lego. I'm working in the layout creation, lights. Future plans are a second level for both train rails and buildings. I added what I have so far.
