Im interested to hear peoples opinions, the 20% off is actually way more, based on lego.com/au prices which are terrible. Hey Everyone in AUS Now that Bricks Down under is basically gone (since end of last year), I was just wondering if anyone else knows of any local forums to discuss local sales, bargains etc? As this is a global site I am not sure how many aussies visit this part of the forum, I only recently discovered it. Plus what do you use to sell used or MISB sets on? Has anyone in Aus bought of Barnes and Noble? What's their shipping like. Been very disappointed with ToysRUs US. Arrived damaged twice. Only consolation was got refund and managed to keep item and being able to sell on ebay as damaged.

TMNT Shellraiser is $70, save $18 Lord of the Rings Black Gate is $78, save $10 Lord of the Rings Pirate Ship ambush is $118, save $10 Superman Metropolis showdown is $16, save $4 Some city stuff aswell and small savings on some chima and hero factory and Star Wars Desert Skiff for $38! What do people in Australia use for packaging and shipping their lego sets? I checked about 5 online packaging stores (Staples, Signet etc.) and none seem to sell boxes suitable for Lego. Any help is much appreciated. :-)

Hi I'm just hoping for some advice. I bought 9 Advent calendars from O/S from a supplier who has previously packaged really well. For some reason this time, the 9 boxes were sent seperately in packaging that was insufficient. I've made a claim through PayPal who have said a full refund will be forthcoming but of course I need to send them all back. I don't have an issue with this except it is going to cost me $100 which isn't part of the refund. So now I am wondering whether I send them back and write off my $100, or whether there is much market for pulling the advent calendars apart and selling off the items inside. I just don't know if there is a market for this …

I got an e-mail about a 20% off online sale at DJ for what seemed to be clothing oriented. Had a look at the Lego, and for at least 10218 Pet Shop, the 20% discount was applied. I tried it on the Town Hall (10224), but no discount on that one. No idea about any of other sets, but if there are any ones you want and are harder to get, may be worth sticking them in the cart and seeing what happens.

Pretty sure most of the Aussie members here would have already put in orders for this month's Crown Jewels of Lego LEGO Shop at Home - the Delorean and the 4x4 crawler, not sure how everyone's orders are tracking / processing / (dare I say) shipping etc, my experience so far has been....interesting. Was just online at DJs looking for something for the missus, an clicked over to Lego (not all about her! ) and see they appear to have 20% off sale. So I've had my first couple positive experiences on Gumtree as a seller. Without worrying about postage, ebay and paypal fees I'm able to sell at a much lower price on Gumtree and still make more money than if I was selling on Gumtree. It seems like a win/win for the purchaser and the seller. Case in point was 2 high speed passenger trains I got from Amazon UK for AU$132 shipped. I sold both of these on Gumtree within a week for $165, netting me $33 profit for each train. To get the same profit on Ebay, assuming shipping is $25 and the buyer uses Paypal, I would need to sell the item for $217 (with free shipping for the buyer). As the retail on this item is $230 I w…
