What do people think about the new MONSTER FIGHTERS as an investment? I think the sets could be quite collectible. Any thoughts?

I have been a big fan of these sets and tonight my youngest son took some out to play with and it really got me thinking about Halloween. I am no wondering if Lego will continue in Halloween sets like they have with the Christmas sets. Wouldn't if be wonderful if they started to create a new set every year for the holiday. If so I would think it would be very popular as well as help out with this line of sets. I know a pipe dream but it really would enhance these sets.

This board seems to rate this one as a winner, given the seemingly pending EOL this spring. So, simple question. At what price do you see this a must buy? Are you sticking to the 20% rule, or making exceptions closer to retail? In my area at least, you can still find a few of these in store at Walmart/Target, so I think there is still a good shot at picking them up for $80 or lower very soon. Thoughts?

One of the knockoff brands quite possibly trying to capitalize on halloween sales as well as mimic Lego's Monster Fighters theme, check out what Cobi/Character Building did. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oq88dyLWYi0 Graveyard Beast from the Bayou Burial Chamber Wolfman's Lair Ghost Ship Haunted Crypt Laboratory House of Terrors (1 of 2 versions) Laboratory of Doom Vampire Castle Cobi's home page if you wish to see the rest of their stuff. You can actually buy most of it from Amazon directly and other sites like ThinkGeek. I have no idea if it is related or not but there is a free to play online webgame called "M…

Just got off the phone with LEGO S@H about the listing they had for the 9465 THE ZOMBIES for $31.98. They told me that no more were left and no more will be produced and that the theme is getting "phased out."

Has anyone had any luck finding the Zombie poly 30200 at TRU? My local store only has the frodos and city polys. I also have not been able to find thor. Thought I would try my luck with the ghost poly at target, gave them the item number and for some reason the box where they were suppose to be was toothpaste. Needless to say, not having a lot of success with polys.

https://www.yahoo.com/movies/universal-makes-plans-to-relaunch-frankenstein-and-92048456507.html Starting with the classic mummy in April 2016. They'll be tied together like the avengers series. Could this make Monster Fighters blow up? Or might it get overshadowed by the inevitable new sets to come?

I really like this instructable. Though I would never attempt it because of time and lack of ability, this is amazing to look at. http://www.instructables.com/id/Kid-Sized-Lego-Haunted-House/?ALLSTEPS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MxtGl3o2I8

I just found out about this because of a comment by Diabolos80 in another thread. I certainly didn't know about this until today, so here's the rundown: Concerning some sets in the Monster Fighters line, TLG was apparantly not satisfied with the quality of their Glow-in-the-dark ink, had some worldwide legal issues with the ink, or some other factor with the glow-in-the-dark stickers and print elements. End result, the following sets have had previously Glow-in-the-dark stickers or print changed and replaced with non-glowing versions: 9462 - The Mummy - The Mummy minifigure no longer has glow-in-the-dark print. 9464 - Vampyre Hearse - The roof sticker no longer gl…

I have heard some members when Lego's Lord Vampyre character comes up in conversation asking why do they spell it Vampyre and not Vampire? Well, it's similar to how there is grey and gray. Both accepted as correct but technically grey is the older form of the word I believe. Plus gray is more of an American thing. Anyway, the current English term of vampire was derived from the French vampyre and German vampir. Since the Lego company is based in Billund, Denmark, I'm sure you can see why they went with the older vampyre. That's basically it in a nutshell without a complete history lesson that would put me to sleep. Also, a child of a vampire and a human (half breed…

A post in one of the threads (can't find which one) stated that the monster hunters theme will soon be gone.....I was wondering if whoever said that can tell me where they found this info....very intriguing to me!

Does anybody know if the Monster Fighters line has lived up to what LEGO expected of it? I am not sure if there are public sales numbers or anything like that. I am also aware that the series hasn't been out long, but I am sure there are expectations for it from LEGO. Just wondering how it is doing as a whole. I want to see Monster Fighters stick around, and hopefully have a sequel.
