A quick hello to all... I've been collecting Lego sets for almost 10 years now. I am also investing on some big sets hoping to sell them when their market value goes up. I love the modulars and the architecture series. I am also a mother to a 9yo boy who loves everything Lego.

Just found this forum and thought it might be fun to talk about Legos (and check listings for old sets). Currently an advanced graduate student who still occasionally gets the odd Lego set because they make some decent ones. Most of my collection is from 1994-2000 - my childhood toys. I'm very thankful that I used to be careful with my sets, as most are still 100% complete. Favorites are the usual: Pirates, Knights, Wild West, Star Wars.

Hi guys I've been on brick picker for a little while now, I am a collector of Lego's and Star wars toys. I like to trade, sell and buy them. I am doing a survey of my own as far as experiences that you like or dislike about selling on ebay, or even what you like in websites like this. I appriciate the feedback and also getting to know you all more. Obradkenobi21

Hi folks, My name is Kev and live in Bristol UK. I've been interested in Lego since I was 6 years old! I've still got all my sets and although most are unboxed, they are all complete (apart from a tree my dog chewed from set 6394) . I stopped buying lego for a while, only occasionally purchasing the odd vehicle to put on a shelf while I concentrated on grown up things. But everyday I used to walk past the lego in the supermarket when I got my lunch waiting for the opportunity to buy some for my nephews birthday or Christmas. This all changed recently when I was purchasing an item and noticed the markup in a vehicle I wanted which was used but available on e…

I wanted to introduce myself to the group. I have been an avid Lego person since I was 5 years old or so. They are a wonderful educational toy that stimulates a lot of thought. I recently reentered activity in the Lego world after my son just started playing with Legos. We had tried some small sets before to see if he could handle it, but now he sems ready. Anyways, I am always looking for a way to make an extra dollar on the side and found that Legos was a great way to do this, plus I do love the sets. Anyways, I live in West Texas and am currently finishing my PhD in business. We will see where this takes us from here. I look forward to some great insights a…

A quick question to the veteran brick pickers on this site: When picking through a pile of loose bricks, what, if any, are the high value or harder to find pieces I should look out for and maybe seperate out. Thanks a lot! Looking forward to talkin bricks with you all in the future!

Hello! Just wanted to introduce myself. I am 22 years old out of Toronto, Canada. I have recently rekindled my childhood love for lego and new to the secondary Lego market. I plan to go to school in September for a business degree and I figured this would be a good way to help pay for school, get some entrepreneurial experience, and it would be a fun hobby as well. I stumbled upon this: http://www.ehow.com/how_5141645_make-money-selling-legos.html I've decided I am going to try and emulate what this guy was able to do. So any guidance anyone has on how I would be able to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated!

Hello! Just a quick introduction of myself. I am 20 years old living in sunny Cornwall, UK. During my childhood I was always a fan of lego and liked to build the advanced sets. Having recently bought the 8053 mobile crane locally to build, I was looking at the secondary market for Lego and quickly came across this site. This inspired me to look at buying some sets to invest in and found 5x 6866 Wolverine's Chopper Showdown MISB for only

Hello everyone! My name is Nick, I am from Dallas, Texas. I have been in to Legos as long as I can remember. I collected a lot of sets all the way up through probably middle school, I am 30 now. The closet at my parents house is still full of my old sets, mostly City and Wild West, many in the original boxes. Anything without an original box is in a sealed plastic storage bin. I have a four month old son now and I am excited to get him in to Legos as well, starting with Duplo in a year or so. I have recently started buying a few small sets here and there to build myself. I also bought him the City Coin Bank to get his savings account started …

Hey guys! It occurred to me that I have never officially introduced myself here and thought that I would share a bit about me for my 500th post! First of all, I am a TFOL, been building with LEGO since I was seven, and just started investing about a year ago. I was aware that the value of sets went up after they retired, but until now, I had never been able to keep a set sealed for over a week. Here are some interesting facts about me: 1. I am a Christian! 2. I am sandwiched between two sisters 3. I love to play the guitar and enjoy going to concerts 4. My most valuable set that I own is the Green Grocer 5. I have a LEGO Ideas account. 6…

I'm from Southern Connecticut. Played with legos as a child but lost touch for a looooong time. My son started getting interested about 5 years ago and we have been avidly purchasing and building since then. He has a huge collection which is mainly sets taken apart and spread through many buckets. He now wants to go throught the buckets and put his sets back together to sell and buy new ones he's interested in. I have recently started buying for investing. I have about 200+ and growing NISB sets ready to let go of when the time is right. I also acquired a huge lot of used Star Wars sets spanning from the 80's-90's. Unfortunately, those sets are all taken apart and mixe…

Hi All, I've been a lifelong Lego fan and have recently become more interested in collecting and selling. There are so many Lego websites out there, but I must say that this one is the best! I've learned so much and hope to contribute in the future. I would just like to extend my thanks to the whole community!

Hi everyone! I am a TFOL but have always loved lego. My favourite theme is star wars and I have previously dabbled with mindstorms and technic. If anyone else lives in the East of England then please do contact me! I have a Flickr and a MOCpages account and I have blogged my mindstorms creations before. Maerskfan/That Guy You Saw Earlier (my flickr and mocpages name) Below are some of my favourite MOCs.

Hello everyone... Just a quick note to introduce myself... I'm a 37 Lego collector that has been collecting Lego sets for the past 20 years.... The main reason that I have joined this forum is to sell some of my sets so that I can make room for the new stuff that I intend to purchase (and my wife nagging that we don't have enough room for it all lol) Oh and incase you wondered I'm from the South East of the UK, located in Kent

...Chicago suburb anyway. I'm an "ALE" but I used to be a "KLE"! Since I had limited financial means as a kid I don't have any collections of older sets, just random sets from all sorts of themes. I got back into Lego when I saw the Architecture series coming out. I'm a huge fan of Frank Lloyd Wright and I almost lost it when I saw that they were releasing a "Fallingwater" set. I also have a burgeoning interest in architecture in general. I found this site through Brickipedia when I was perusing it and making sure my Architecture collection was up to date. Right now I have every Architecture series set minus the limited edition Asian release of "Mari…

Hello there BrickPicker and fellow Brickvestors, Lego investors, Lego barons, et cetera. I'm new to online sales, but not to collecting. I might have been to a Brickfair or two as well. I cannot say that I have a specialty in one theme or another, however I can say that I fancy Pirates (I, II and POTC), Space Police, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars. I separate my collection from what I sell. When contemplating my Indiana Jones and Star Wars sets I have, I surprised myself when I realized just how many Lego Harrison Fords I have. Now that you might be thinking of that yourself, how many minifigure Harrison Fords might you have?
