Many here have commented about their bad experiences ordering online from TRU, and I should have listened. But no, I had to give TRU the benefit of doubt and do an online order of some Lego sets they had on sale. Just to be clear, this is TRU in Australia. Ordered, paid for items and postage, received confirmation email, all good. A day later, received another email that items had been dispatched. Waited 4 working days, nothing. Called TRU customer service on a Friday, was told by CS lady that courier tried unsuccessfully to deliver, and items at courier depot, gave me details to ring them to arrange delivery. TRU has the new SW planet sets of Series 3. I could only find the 2/3 of them though. According to the NY Toy Fair, they are supposed to come out next month. None are on sale. Also note: On the little info card, it says that it will sell for $9.99. TRU is selling for $11.99. My store has 12 of them in stock, should I get them today with the $20 off coupon? They are marked up to $45 so I basically be paying retail for these, are they for sure an investment winner or not? I have no interest in them for my own part but folks on here seem to go nuts over this set.

I did not see another message mentioning it so I hope I am not repeating anything. Toys R Us is doing the 25% off of purchases of $100 or more and the small print at the bottom reads "excludes Marvel Super Heros and Lone Ranger Sets". SInce this promo is only good until the 14th it would lead one to believe the Lone Ranger sets will be on shelves any day, if they are not already in places that have higher turnover.

I went into TRU today after dropping my son off at school to do a quick search for any hidden Crawlers and to just take a general look around. Upon entering the Lego aisle I found this... 20130820_113927 by roadrunner1633, on Flickr I about laughed out loud at the sight of this. A 1-2 year old set, minus any of the figures, and they are still trying to get close to the suggested retail price. I am not quite sure how they even ended up with an old return like this because I thought there were significant limitations on that but who knows. Either way it perked me up a little bit this morning and I thought I would share it with all of you!

I was just wondering if anyone might know when the next TRU bogo sale might be. I know they run these quite frequently, but I can't remember when the last one was. I would like to stock up on dolphin cruisers and heartlake highs to flip this xmas. I think both will be hot sellers and one of those items that retailers won't be able to keep in stock this holiday season. the current retail on both at TRU is only $5 above "normal" retail everywhere else, so assuming they don't jack the prices up by 20-$30, these could be obtained at a good price for holiday flipping.

I recently went to TRU and saw their prices are ten to fifteen bucks over the list prices, Like the 9495 Gold Leader

TRU says that if you use their credit card you can get free shipping (no minimum purchase). I tried this and it looks like I am still getting charged for shipping. Has anyone had any luck with this?

I received an email ad from TRU that they are having a one day sale of the Lego Creator Fierce Flyer 31004 and Super Racer 31002 marked down to $9 each, limit four. The sale is for this Saturday. August 3, 2013. The original MSRP of each is $14.99. In store only.

I know you all hate TRU, but just saw that they are having a sale. First thing that caught my eye was 8043 for $159 with free shipping.

I have a very strong feeling the answer to my question is no but I will ask anyway. I noticed that TRU has a special this week if you spend $75 you get $15 off. I assume they won't let me use my 20% off coupon I have on top of that offer so I wont even try. However will they price match their website and then still let me have the $15 off $75 offer? When you go into Toys R Us to the Lego section it's like going to the Gentleman's Club. You are overwhelmed by the choice and selection. You drool and salivate. So many to choose from...you want them all! So much more than Walmart or Target or any where else (save a Lego Store). There are so many to choose from.......and all so beautiful. You make your choice(s) then head to the checkout aisle. Once at the register it's like coming home late and your wife (or GF) sees the lipstick on your collar then knees you in the groin.....several times. The prices at Toys R Us suck the wind right out of you like a genital hit. Even with a BOGHO the blow is barely softened.

Aside from the current buy 2 get 1free promotion they are currently running Which includes most SW sets for once), their prices are garbage! My question is this though, why are only some sets higher than MSRP? It seems they pick and choose which sets to mark up.

They still haven't updated the pricing on their Ebay store so if you are interested in something it MAY be worth it.
