I have a $10 off coupon that I want to use in tandem with a price match. I know there is another post that discusses whether they will do this for Target/Walmart (seemed split), but I wondered if TRU would match an Amazon listing. Anyone with experience on this?

Not sure if this is a nationwide deal, but Barrel Escape is currently 25% off until May 25th in my local TRUs. May be worth picking up at that price since it's an exclusive.

I am in Virginia from now until late next week. Went to a couple of TRU's tonight. They had all of the new City and Castle sets, and I was surprised to see that they already have the new LOTR sets. The LOTR Pirate Ship set is really cool looking. So is the new Coast Guard boat. Of course the prices were outrageous. I went to the one in Fair Lakes and it's one of the ones that has even extreme prices for TRU. The one in Manassas was a little better, but still the prices were outrageous. I did grab a couple of things on the BOGO but had a few TRU $5 off coupons so the price ended up being way below retail.

Hey guys, Ran across this coupon on another site and wanted to share. I know it sucks to buy at TRU, but 20% off an MSRP set isn't bad. I read all the fine print and it doesn't exclude Lego, however it does exclude sale items. So as long as they aren't doing a stupid "Raise MSRP" BOGO sale or something, this coupon should be good. Just received my 2 TRU orders from the last BOGO sale. Currently 1 Unimog short (but since there was so many individual packing boxes it could come next week) 1 Tumbler set instead of Batman Funhouse 1 Unimog I received was dented, torn and even shredded in one corner. 5 Batman Funhouses sets with various degrees of dents and creases 3 Battle for Geonosis sets (fairly ok) Deadset the worst packaging I have ever seen. The Unimog was laid diagonally in a box which was so dented on the top the tape was split 3 Funhouse sets were in a box large enough to fit 2 Unimogs (WTF???) What are the chances they will do anything about it?

I did not see another message mentioning it so I hope I am not repeating anything. Toys R Us is doing the 25% off of purchases of $100 or more and the small print at the bottom reads "excludes Marvel Super Heros and Lone Ranger Sets". SInce this promo is only good until the 14th it would lead one to believe the Lone Ranger sets will be on shelves any day, if they are not already in places that have higher turnover.

Well I went to the Lego Store at Annapolis Mall in Md today, got there about 10:30 so I ran across the street at the Toys R Us to see what the $25 off Lego Sale looked like, Well I was shocked check out some of these prices of these Lego sets, The Manager said all these prices were done 10 days ago. Now if you scanned them it took $25 off, 1-jabba's Palace $164.99 2-Malevolence $164.99 3-Vampire's Castle $131.99 4-Falcon 7965- $179.99 5-Helm's Deep $154.99 6-Ninjago 9450 Epic Dragon -$164.99 7-Volkswagon Camper -$149.99 8-Batman 6860 Cave-$99.99 9-Friends Olivia's House $99.99 10-Friends 3185 Summer Camp $149.99 And the List can go on and on.

Saw the new Lone Ranger sets at TRU today. Of course they are marked well above MSRP. Constitution Train $119.99 Silver Mine $89.99 Both $20.00 above MSRP. Colby City Showdown was $79.99 I think. ($10 above) Stagecoach was $37.99 ($8 above) Comanche Camp was $24.99 ($5 above) Cavalry Builder was $16.99 ($4 above) And all of these are excluded from the $25 off $100 sale. Needless to say, but I did not purchase any!

I have wondered this for some time now, how long does everyone think they will be in business? I know some think that TRU is a thriving entity, but fact of the matter is that they are really not. Any predictions on how long before they have to shut their doors or do some of y'all think that will never happen. I say this with 100% percent honesty, if TRU was giving anyway LEGO sets I wouldn't think twice about not going there.

Last year, TRU.ca boost a lot of their prices, but now it seem that a lot of sets are MSRP (Most of Hard to find item and Star Wars) That's a really good thing!

My store has 12 of them in stock, should I get them today with the $20 off coupon? They are marked up to $45 so I basically be paying retail for these, are they for sure an investment winner or not? I have no interest in them for my own part but folks on here seem to go nuts over this set.

so... i was on the hunt for ***.I. Joe Kre-o figs and then got swooped up by some lego sets that i hadn't seen in my local TRU's.. hawthorne was the store that had alot of what i was looking for. Hello all, I just wanted to get a general feeling on how many Brickpickers are supportive of TRU. I believe many of us don't like shopping for sets there, but some of you do. I'm on the fence about it because I've bought only once from them and it was almost a complete disaster. (The box was beat up so badly during shipping that it caused holes in the Lego box.)They refunded my money and let me keep the set. I've never bought from them again because I almost always found better deals on Amazon and I've also heard more about TRU's bad practices. (Shipping, eBay, etc.) Let me know what you guys think in the poll/comments.Thanks.

Hi all, I have placed 2 orders for TRU under their latest deal. My credit card has been charged, yet I haven't received a confirmation email for either. Neither order show up on my account. I have sent off an email, but have heard that TRU are useless with their customer service. Is the lack of confirmation email a regular occurance, or just likely due to the high volume of sales with this deal? Thanks

i'm going to a bunch of stores tomorrow to try and get the most of this deal... remember IF YOU'RE USING THE BOGO...BUY 2 OF THE SAME THING OR 2 SETS THAT COST THE SAME...otherwise your BOGO discount won't be that great of a deal.
