So I got a bunch of these right before they disappeared off the planet overnight - all under $15. Some for $12 something. Anyway, My target with smaller sets is hopefully they will double quickly, and then sell them and be done as they usually have lower ceilings and they are better for quick transactions. So wolverine, probably somewhat influenced by Christmas, is sitting at almost $40 on Ebay. Which presents a question: 1. I could go ahead and double my money on the 15 or so I have now, walk away with an 100% ROI in about a month. Pros: quick money I can reinvest, also if these come back into stock its free money as I can get more. Cons: May miss ou…

So Barnes and Noble is having a 20% off any item sale with coupon BNHOLIDAY that ends today, but I can't seem to find anything better to get than a Minecraft village for 30. Any suggestions?

I know a lot of stocked up before knowing that it probably is around another year. I am becoming more bullish so I decided to dump my stock. I got most of them around 80$. Well, they are sold out about everywhere. Ebay is trending up and up - now up to $160ish. I sold two for $160 last night. If you want to offload them ( as you should be able to easily get more next year) now is the time.

Since my venture into Lego investing almost 3 months ago, I've had 3 errors in my favor in the last 3 weeks. Without going into too much detail, they include: Refund where the price difference was swapped with sale price. Website price match & BOGO 50% error resulting in half the items being BOGO 50% twice. Miscount on the number of sets shipped. These errors have occurred from 3 different, large retailers without my influence and found out after the fact. I'm going to chalk this up to human error, holiday rush, BF, CM, etc... I have asked family and friends about what they would do. The answers were interesting to say the least... Most sa…

There's nothing quite like snagging a few good deals. Not only does it save money, it allows for more investments to be made. Everyone has their good days, and the days they wish they didnt't have at all. This is the place to let it all out, wether it be in triumph or in defeat. (Hopefully triumph...) Post your "Daily Deals" below.

I haven't really used FedEx much before. I notice it is more available now on my sold items - how is the shipping speed vs. Parcel Select? Wondering how reliable FedEx is, with USPS I usually see items delivered within 3-4 days regardless of distance in the lower 48 for the most part.

Hi, I recently joined Brick Picker and really like the site. I started investing in LEGOs about 4 years ago and have really started to see my investment grow. I have sold only a few of my sets on eBay but I am planning on getting rid of more once certain sets hit the price point I want them to. What I'm needing help on is this -- Where do you find boxes that work for to ship your LEGO sets? As I have been storing and organizing my sets I have noticed that all sets, for the most part, come in a certain size box. It makes no difference what theme it is. I find it hard to believe that there is not a manufacturer out there that hasn't come up with boxes to sh…

So I have been doing this gig for a few months now and everything is going pretty well. However, I have ran into a few instances as I have sold more and more items, of people who just blatantly didn't read a listing, or somehow don't understand a minifigure doesn't come with a "box" (yeah I got neutral feedback for that one). So in general, how do you all deal with this? How does Ebay? I have a current one where someone bought the 4 headed dragon from 9450 from me. I have sold 9 without an issue. This person just sent me an email asking where the rest of the set was. My listing's title says its the parts and instructions for the dragon only, nothing else…

I have been browsing dutch version of eBay and I have been trying a New Way of searching. I look for sets without numbers or price. This seems to indicate that the seller is not knowing about the value of 1975 lego sets. Some sellers really don't know what they have. Is buying a 140 usd set for 32 usd good or bad ethically ?

Hello people. I own a brand new iron man set 4529-1 which I bought for el cheapo from a webstore clearing out From the growth line in the USA I see this set does well. I'm living in the Netherlands and this set is very hard to get here too. I can probably get 3x the value I bought it for if I sell now. Should I or is this set expected to grow even further in value??

I've had mixed results selling sealed sets on Ebay. I list under an established ID under normal free auction listings for typically top dollar. Not in rush to make sales or I'd list at a lower price point. Would this method be better served by selling on Bricklink? I've never bought or sold on that site before. Any input would be appreciated!

Pretty simple. Target and Walmart will start clearancing some toys - which lego lines/sets do you think will be included? I am going with Hobbit, Lone Ranger, TMNT and a few of the older star wars and city sets. What do you think?

I'd like to publicly give paypal a double thumbs up. I was ready to accept a $120 rookie mistake when I sold to someone in the Russian Federation who had only had their account for a couple days. Shipped off a Spongebob set via First Class international. Received a chargeback notice after shipping, saying the purchase was unauthorized. Now I know (but then I didn't) that paypal seller protection covers you in the event that you ship via a traceable service (USPS priority express). I'm pretty sure that these people go searching for sellers that list first class international as an option as I had ANOTHER sale two days later from a different person in the Russian Feder…

I just received a delivery from Kmart and this was in the box. In case anyone is interested it looks like they are giving out 1,000 points ($1) per review. Limit of 25 per quarter. Not a bad way to pick up some points if you are a person that writes reviews anyway.
