I've been lucky over the last few weeks, and sales have really picked up. Of course, I hadn't really started listing things until the last couple of months either. Now that I'm listing, I realized - my books aren't as in good order as they need to be. I kept okay books - I knew when I had bought stuff, and how much I bought it for. But I realized it was time for a complete overhaul. I also needed to go through and do a complete inventory (again) to make sure I had everything in the right place, and tracked. And to make my life easier when it comes time to filling orders. So, while I've been following all the excitement over the last few weeks, I've also b…

I have been into the LEGO investing game for about a year now. Mostly impart to all the good deals shown here I have a nice stash going. I definetly want to move some sets I aquired at deep discount this year to recoup some money for future investing. Question is when is the right time to list on ebay. For Black Friday? after Cyber Monday? 2 weeks before the 25th? When does the mad dash for desperate parents begin!? Thanks for any insight on the matter, hopefully we all make a Scrooge worthy profit margin this holiday.

I have been mulling over this for a while. What do people normally set their BIN listing lengths to? I sort have defaulted to the 30 days but I have noticed (with one exception that sold in 30 mins) most things tend to sell in the last week of the listing. So do people use the 30 day listing period or a shorter one? I am talking here about selling sets, in my case vintage ones, rather than PAB pieces in which I have discovered does not really work on ebay BIN.

Thought a lot of you would find this interesting. This was a deal offer sheet from over a decade ago when I lived in Florida. 1 glaring set shows up on there for sure. The back story on this deal was these prices were all high at the time when it was offered to us. Also crazy how times have changed in the fact these quantities of deals do not surface anymore. Shows you how different the LEGO market was as compared to now. Sep 24, 2003 To me Sep 24, 2003 Hi, All new, retail boxes. Let us know if you have an interest, you can mix. Thanks! So i was walking around Meijer yesterday and on the shelf were these two retired sets on the shelf. they did not have a tag or anything, they were just sitting there. I know these were not there the week prior so they must have been hidden in the stockroom or something. Any anyone experienced this before?

Was just trying to order another bundle of the courtesy Canada Post pre-printed "Fragile" stickers - apparently they are out of stock but were happy to return a "May We Suggest: COD Stickers" (wtf?) ... anyway, was wondering what the general perception of shippers/receivers here was on using Fragile markings on their boxes. I've heard some folks are of the opinion it's tantamount to a "kick-me" sign, while to others it just seems a more professional presentation for the items being sent... does it even matter?

So passwords aren't working this morning at all (even though I have the correct one). Password recovery is not even though the correct email is there. I can't log in from anywhere at all. About to call them about it but I was going to see if anyone else was having the same problem this morning.

It appears that sellers are getting scammed lately by buyers who use hotels as their shipping address claiming the package was not received by the front desk and requesting replacements/refunds/opening AZ cases that sellers are bound to lose. if you have an amazon seller account you should be able to access the link below, if you dont you MAY be able to get it as well: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=225779&ref_=im_sf_C_225779_wsfqs_home&sortBy=helpful it starts with the following: Posted on: 16 Oct, 2014 11:10 PM …

I'm having trouble dealing with PayPal right now and any input is much appreciated. Last August I placed an order with a local toy retailer and my PayPal balance was instantly credited for the total amount. This particular order was eventually cancelled but the payment authorization was not, which lead to a month of going back and forth with customer service and PayPal, but it finally got cancelled. The problem is that a week has gone buy and my balance is still missing those ~250

I came across this listing on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEGO-8085-Star-Wars-Freeco-Speeder-New-Sealed-Free-US-Shipping-Set-Retired-/111019548247?_trksid=p2054897.l4275 It is a Star Wars Freeco Speeder 8085 for $10,000. The description does not indicate that it was made from unobtainium or anything like that, I am just curious what the purpose of listing this would be. I realize there is a sucker born every minute but you would have to be long lost uncle from Nigeria stupid to fall for this.

Howdy folks, I have been recently strapped for capital as many opportunities have come recently. Keep the info below to myself or share? Hmm. It is not gospel and it is only what I intend to do as I try to get more structure in my acquisitions. Here goes for some of the bigger sets. Feel free to comment, add your own, etc Past history in this series has shown me this is its second holiday season and if this line-up remains consistent it will the last time to buy this at retail. 10211 GE - Probably EOL 10214 Tower Bridge - still perplexed on this one. Have 4 would like at least 10...it is out of any other sets range I am trying to re…

Bit of advice folks. I am trying to complete a 8275 Technic Bulldozer before listing it. I have bought a few pieces on ebay but I suspect to buy all the missing pieces will quickly eliminate any profits on the set. So I thought I might try to get my head around Bricklink or Brickowl. Does anyone know any good Bricklink or Brickowl stores that are UK based? I was at Steam in Swindon last weekend and Minifigforlife.com had a stall there. Their Bricklink store seems to be good but does not have everything I need. I want one that provides a good service and good range of parts. Does not have a silly minimum purchase; Minifig for life is

Looking to start selling Larger more expensive sets... ie (PS,TH,HH,GE,SSD,etc.) What's the consensus, how and where do you sell your larger sets to avoid scammers? I added a poll to choose from Ebay Ebay (high Buy It Now with best offer to "pick your buyer"?) Craigslist Bricklink Brickpicker Facebook (local classifieds) Other? what are the best practices?

I would like to prepare some sets for shipping, and it turns out that the USPS game board box would be quite good, but of course sending it via priority flat would also be too expensive. So my question is now: where would you go for the following: - box size: ideal: 22x12x3, also ok (more common): 24x12x4 - low quantity: I really only need 6, not the 25 that most online stores have as minimum quantity. I don't have the space to store 19 boxes I really don't need. The local office stores I went to don't seem to have this size available. Thanks in advance - and please no suggestions of covering up the USPS box and sending it regular priority. That is a…

Non-US buyers with US shipping addresses keep trying to buy my stuff on Bricklink. I can't even tell they are non-US until they send me a payment and I notice my paypal fees are 1% higher. I have notes in my shop that these payments will be refunded and I deal with US customers only, but they keep trying and I keep refunding and it keeps taking my inventory out of sale until I go and cancel the order. It's getting annoying. Is there anyway to block that from within paypal so I can't even accept those or turn off the auto payment accept so I can look through each one and approve it first?

Hi, Since paypal now switches from 45 days for a dispute to a whopping 180 days, and I am generally not eager to pay about 3% of what I get for a buyer protection I don't want, I was looking for alternatives. Going away from paypal is probably not going to work well for most (as it is so well known and "trusted"), but offering an alternative would be nice. Skrill is often mentioned as one of the "bigger" online payment services, at least when I searched for paypal alternatives. Does anybody here use it (regardless whether as buyer or seller), and could share their experience?

Good morning brickpickers! Fall is here and it's that time of year for a huge neighborhood garage sale. I would like to participate in it. http://www.huntcross.com/garagesale.html This thing is massive 100+ families. Get there early! However I have never sold Lego at a garage sale. I would suspect there will be many people looking for a deal. So how do I sell my wares at slightly below current market prices to reflect lower fees since I am not selling on ebay or amazon? I need to finish my write-up for what I will have available. My collection/hoard is extensive. I have multiples of many exclusives exo's, 10229-7, 10228-10, 10227-3, 1…

Newish to Lego (big thanks to the kids), and I was wondering what recentish sets have larger animals. Kids want to make a zoo. Thoughts so far are: Friends pets and line: plenty of little pets Prince of Persia had camels and ostriches Atlantis has plenty of underwater animals City theme w farm had some barnyard animals What am I missing that is probably obvious to you?

I have a $25 BN gift card and was wondering what set to get. Half of the sets are over priced and there's not a huge selection. I kind of am leaning towards the 75052 but was wondering what you guys are thinking. And I just found out the 30% Kids Club coupon you receive when you first register does not apply to Legos

Hi everyone, I'm very new to all this. I was thinking the other day as I bought my second investment set (Grand Emporium) When I'm ready to sell something and I've never sold on Ebay before, how do I set it up so people won't shy away from me the minute they realize I don't have a rating. I started an Instagram page to show people how much I love this stuff. Also that I'm just your average family man. @brickcrazy Also, whats stopping someone from claiming I sent them an open product or something? And scamming me?!?! Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
