It's amazing that it's been 30 years and I still remember this. I feel old now.

22 years later and I still remember typing IDKFA in Doom. Ha.

can I make up my own abbreviations based on the 3rd character of the first word, the 5th character of the second word and alternating primes of any additional words? that should be easy enough to follow, right?

If there's still an "Edit" option on the post, just edit the post and make it say "Delete". Courtesy of @dcdfan

@Phil B is right.  As long as the "Edit" button still exists, you can delete the text and just type in "Delete"

Otherwise, it's staying.

If you're that desperate to get it removed, you can ask a mod, but if you abuse that power, we will abuse you.

If you simply finish your comment with "just sayin'" there is no reason to delete any post.
