Ecto Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 Love this, absolutely love this, but wasn't a UCS Hulkbuster an Ideas candidate already? 2 Quote

One of the reasons for rejection on Ideas site is if a project is already underway. So always hard to know which came first. 1 Quote
Martae54 Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 It has a light brick for his power source that's pretty cool. 2 Quote
feed Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 (edited) Think you guys are getting confused, It’s 76104-1: The Hulkbuster Smash-Up that competes with 76031-1: The Hulk Buster Smash Not this set. But still. you know the rest. Edited February 2, 2018 by feed Quote
Mark Twain Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 I think it is cool! The OG smash has sold well enough. $160 is pretty high. Quote

If it´s like other D2C Sh sets you´ll get it at least 30% off from SAH within a year of release. Quote
donbee Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 Sometimes a bigger, better version raises demand for the smaller, cheaper version. Quote
nolanfan34 Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 I would like to petition the mods to change the thread title, this thing is awesome. Yeah, some Ideas designers are going to be pissed, but they have shown time and time again they aren't going to approve projects with existing licenses it seems. Assuming the piece count will be 1200-1400 range? Quote
Val-E Posted February 2, 2018 Author Posted February 2, 2018 (edited) Just for reference, here is the link to the original IDEAS proposal from 2015, which had 800 pieces. Knowing how TLG like to put cheese slopes and 1x1´s everywhere, I estimate a lot more pieces for a 10 inch high version https://ideas.lego.com/projects/0fb496b8-e406-421f-b9f0-bba4f476fbce Edited February 2, 2018 by Val-E 3 Quote
lazuli16 Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 At the rumored price point, I hope it's a lot bigger than the Ninjago movie mechs. Quote

Cheese Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 €160! I thought this was a €80 set! Hulk buster smash is very good value considering the mini figures. Wish I had more. This set may well increase price of that set since parents will be more inclined to buy hulk buster smash than splash out that much (even with discount) for a set that isn’t even twice the size of the smaller set Quote

Cheese Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 I believe the 76104 hulk buster will hurt 76031 so I unloaded all mineSo two sets then. Ok that makes sense then since I read that there was a remake of hulk buster smash. Ok, glad that I don’t have any left then! Quote

I fixed it even better than Greg did. 1 Quote
