Scooby Doo, Where are you? - general discussion

Since something bizarre happened to the original topic dedicated for the new theme, I am merely making this as a temporary replacement for further discussion until or if the original thread can be restored. Moving along the last bit of news was we have an image for the Mystery Machine and Mystery Mansion sets which I shall attach below. Release date is around August this year.

There are many types of members on brickpcker.  Calling many members names or stereotyping others motives is in my opinion uncool.

  • Took me long enough to realize the correct character but the zombie in the Mystery Machine set is the witch's zombie from the episode "Which Witch is Which?". Come to think of it now, the witch from t

I don't think so. The Mystery Machine is an iconic pop culture vehicle that will appeal to fans of all ages. I rank it right up there with the Ecto-1 and Delorean. They can make as many as they want.

awesome.

Very cute and cool theme.  I can see it doing quite well.  A lot of fans, both old and new, will definitely connect with these sets.  Also, the new CMFs will help this theme as well.

I love what they did at the bottom of the page, all the monsters chasing Scooby and the team. It's these details why I love Lego.

I noticed Amazon has it for pre order.  Can't wait

At the Lego Booth at Comic Con, this is the set that was sold out by yesterday afternoon.  I won't be going today, so no idea if they will restock.  I'll check tomorrow when I'm there.  They were low on stock of two least expensive Scooby Doo sets.

It's pretty obvious that the Mystery Machine set is going to be the most popular of the Scooby Doo sets.  Depending on how they produce, I'm going to expect it to be hard to find this Christmas.

I too am hoping they hit Toys R Us before the end of July. I don't want to pick up the bigger sets unless I can get them on discount.

A bunch of set images

That cheeseburger of Shaggy's is perfect; the best one in LEGO I have ever seen. The printing complete with sesame seeds on the top 'bun' simply nail it.

I completely agree.  The $15 set might be tied with the Double Decker Couch as my favorite $10-15 set of all time with the cheeseburger, golden sarcophagus, and golden headdress mummy.  Great unique pieces.  The choices of great sets that will be sold out this Christmas are too big to comprehend.  Time to start flipping a coin to see which to stock up on.

LOL, flick fire cheeseburger bombs.  Well played, Lego.

When I first heard about his line, I rolled my eyes, literally, probably.  But after seeing these I really like them.  Mystery Machine and the Lighthouse most notably.

Scooby's head is a separate piece from his body.  So, if you want a "sitting" version of him, and you don't want him wearing goggles, it can happen.

Trying to work out the cost comparison between Australia and the US. How much was the Ant-man set over there? It's 39.99 here, taking a stab I'm thinking that the Mystery Machine will be either 39.99 or 49.99, with the later probably being spot on.
