One of the nicest in a long line of police mobile trucks. Could swap some of the color choices, revamp the internals a little, and this could be a cyberpunk elite forces personnel carrier or maybe a mini mech dispatch van.

  10. Check out this set that is just as old as the Death Star and will not go away!! Police Helicopter (7741) Why is this $10 set still around? Granted, it is good for the price and another Police set but why? Up until the beginning of this year, I could find a number of them on shelves at Target and Walmart, and it is available still at Lego Shop-at-Home. How is a $10 helicopter lasting as long as the $400 Death Star?! Wierd.... Oh by the way, check out the new Police Helicopter (4473) for 2013. It is another airline promotional set for EVA Air, China Airlines, Air Berlin, Virgin and British Airways. I have no idea how you're supposed to get these; I don't fly or like it th…

This is the set that has most prompted me to join this forum because I can find absolutely zero information on it. It seems not to exist... except for the fact that I have one right in front of me! I spotted it advertised in a British Airways in-flight magazine on a flight from London to Toulouse. It was listed as a 'British Airways Exclusive', hinting it's unavailable elsewhere. Does anyone have any thoughts? Has it been seen elsewhere? Is it really an exclusive? Perhaps I should try to get a couple more on my next BA flight (which happens to be Thursday!) Does it have a value beyond what I paid for it, I wonder? Dan

Hello Everyone, This is my very first post and I'm reaching out because I need a little help. I just acquired a sealed mint LEGO 1068 Air Patrol Extreme Team (1999) set and I'm trying to assess a value. I have searched everywhere. I have found plenty of used sets with no box ranging from $2 to $10, but no sets new in a factory sealed box. The only pricing information I have come across is actually on this site has an American value of $295. I have reached out to the creators of BrickPicker with no luck of a response. Can anyone confirm the value and/or have some sort of history information pertaining to this set? Rick

Haven't seen a thread on this set yet and I wanted to share some thoughts about it. This was the first set I bought for investment purposes and I think it has great potential. First off this set is horribly mislabeled. I don't know what exactly a heliplane is but most of these aircraft are actually called tiltrotors or VTOL (Verticle take off and landing) aircraft. I think this set has a lot of potential due to it's uniqueness. Its one of two tiltrotor sets that lego has made (the other being twinblade adventures 3:1) and is by far the nicest one. If someone wants a tiltrotor lego for their collection then this is their only choice. Both sets are also retir…

How does everyone feel about this set as a short/long term investment. It is a cool set but I am not sure how desirable it will be going forward. It was recently retired and has already begun to dry up on the retail market so I would assume secondary market prices will start to fluctuate soon. Interested to hear what you have to say.
