City/Town

Discussion for collecting and investing in City/Town themed sets.

Building Crane "Special Edition" vs. Not Hey all - we have a couple of 7905 Building Cranes. Looking them up online, some folks have boxes that say "Special Edition" and some don't. Same set # - what's the difference? Thanks if anyone knows. :-)

  2. Since I'm a recent buyer of Lego, I looked for several weeks to pick up a Lego City Fire Station (7208). I thought it would go great with the City Police Station and would be fun to setup and play with my son. I finally found two at Target and was able to pick them up during the BOGO 50% off sale they had a few weeks ago. I've since seen a few people pick them up for 50% off on clearance at Wal-Mart. Now the Lego City Fire Station (60004) is starting to show up at retail. I was surprised to see a new Fire Station set so soon? I personally like (7208) better and it looks more appealing with City theme, in my opinion. Which set do you think will have more longevi…

Available from Shop-at-Home for February 2015 with a total purchase of $35 or more. (May need to be City sets like normal but I'm unsure.)

I have from a fairly good source (not a LEGO store employee) that 60010 is being discontinued because of build issues. http://search2.lego.com/?q=60010〈=2057&cc=US Just a heads up...I've been in several Targets, Wal-Marts, and LEGO stores over the last several days, and haven't seen one of these on shelves. On Amazon they appear to only be from 3rd party sellers at the moment.

I have an 810-4 Town Plan UK set (circa 1965) which I have had since I was a child. It is complete with all pieces and instructions and all the small fragile figures, signs and vehicles are in as new condition. The box lid has a bit of wear and tear. Just wondering whether anyone can give me a lead on whether it is worth any significant money, and if so what is the best means of selling it.

Cop car is cool but, oh, I like her. Her ride looks like a custom called "Aztek" which either she built in her chop shop or hijacked off a car show floor. Or maybe a bit of both. Ha.

Hello All - A little while back i saw a set released by lego of town mini figures - it consisted of something like 25-50 mini figure's, bikes and other city type things. Does anyone know what the set number for this was - i believe it was an older town figure set but not sure. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

So 10655 - Monster Trucks was a young builders set that retired in March 2014, and had a MSRP of $20. Fairly basic little box set with Monster Trucks and a couple minifigs. Shortly after retirement, the set rose to about $40, and continued to climb peaking around $90 for the holidays. I sold a few that I had for around $70 before it peaked, but was still very pleased with the results. I notice this set has had a dramatic fall, absolutely nose diving to $30-35. I find it hard to believe that holiday selling ALONE would make this set go from 30-$90, and to my knowledge - nothing really has come out to replace it as such. The only thing close I would say is the Race Car Juni…

We all know how much people love these Police Helicopter polybags therefore here is yet another new release recently found at Target that practically looks almost the same as the last from the previous year. I'm still waiting for the Super Secret Police Enforcer polybag to show up at my Target. via The Brick Fan

My K-Mart has Thunder Wings for $15 and the Cargo Truck for $25. I'm thinking I should get Thunder Wings 2x. I really don't want to get both now either.

An exclusive set from LEGOLand Theme Parks made first available sometime last year. This one slipped past me entirely. http://st.bricker.ru/images/store/thumbs/download/album2/3cd34_D7KG3NNVUAAChRU_format_jpg_name_large.jpeg
