Hi there guys, this is my first post and I am sharing with you my first ever MOC! I would love to know your thoughts as well as any tips, advice or guidelines to help me with future builds. The courtyard is a two set build of the official 'Battle on Takodana' set and can actually slide out from the front as its own piece. The forest to the side of the castle (representing where Kylo Ren confronts Rey for the first time) is also its own piece and can slide out if you want to use it as a separate element. The main tower lifts off as does the entire roof section on the left hand side revealing more tables, patrons and the performance area for the band. The turret on…

Hey everyone, here is the first micro landscape I did. Its a very simple little MOC, only 16x16 and its actually based on the loading screens from Lego: The Force Awakens on the PS4 (for those of you who have played it you might recognise it?)I really enjoyed making this little model and I am quite tempted to do similar scenes for all the famous locations of the entire sage (any suggestions welcome!)Anyway as always be great to know your thoughts!

Hi guys, Earlier this year my wife and I "completed" our journey out of the dark ages (thanks again to this community for making that possible for a -relatively- reasonable amount). Having acquired all of the retired sets we wanted (within reason, sorry UCS Falcon and Grand Carousel), my wife mused that our city needed a zoo. I agreed, so I decided to make one. I posted a MOC a few months ago but this is my first end-to-end, all the bells and whistles effort at something special. It took about 10-12 weeks. I built it and my wife provided constant feedback, answering "what do you think of this?" and "how does this look?" over and over hahah. I also received input…

I saw this the other day and thought it could be used to light lego models quickly and easily. Looks great, obviously there is the down side of having to draw on the lego bricks, but if it were on a base plate it wouldn't really matter as it wouldn't be seen. You could draw along the base plate to the points needed, a pretty easy and clean solution? Also not sure if this removable and would clean off the bricks. I don't know, whats people thoughts?

Hi all, I had a look to my LEGO collection over the weeked and had to note that I have really a lot of LEGO sets and to less space to build them up or to buy newer sets. Long story short I have to reduce my collection. Now I have a dilemma HOW to do it? a) Should I sell all sets from a theme which I don't like as much as other themes b) Should I sell all sets from a theme beside one or two great (exclusive) sets (e.g. Imperial Flagship from Pirates II theme) c) Should I sell some sets from a theme and keep simply all sets that I like Therefore i would appreciate to hear how do you collect your LEGO sets from a particulat …

So I thought I would start a thread where we could share what we got in our PAB cups, similar to the one on Eurobricks. Pics would be great, but if you just want to say what you got that would be cool as well. If you are new to PAB and want to see how to maximize space, check out my blog article here: http://community.brickpicker.com/blog/4/entry-242-pick-a-brick-cups-can-you-pack-an-investing-punch/ I thought I would kick it off with the two large cups I bought today. There's actually a bit of a story behind this. So normally the cups are $19.99 each in Canada for a large, but when I bought mine I was looking at the bill and I felt like it wasn't enough (in addition…

I am working on the Assault on Hoth set and should be done with it shortly. I am looking for ideas on how to display this set. While this set gets a lot of flack for any number of reasons, I think if done correctly it can be a very visually appealing display set. If anyone has any ideas on how they displayed it, or even if you don't own it but have ideas, they would be much appreciated. As of now I am not looking to display it with any other sets(though the fact it's so short on snowtroopers bugs me) so it will just be this set. Thanks!

Hello all, I am not so active anymore in the LEGO community. But I have seen this project started at kickstarter named Lightstax. It needs funding for the creation of lightning lego pieces, lamps and stuff. It looks impressive and would really enhance my Modular Buildings. I have pledged this project already. See the kickstarter project here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/brandtraders/light-stax-toy-bricks-meet-led Kind regards, Deejay

Hi, all i recently went to brickfair 2016 (cool, right!?) and bought 5 modern millatary hemets, and 6 combat vests, and a LOT of brickarms. I tried to build this gun store thing, but it didn't really work out. Any suggestions for a zombie apocalypse moc? Thanks, Jack

Since I am a broke highschooler, I rarely ever buy/get lego sets outside of the occasional Christmas or birthday, so I have learned how to work with what I have. One of my favorite hobbies is stop motion, so I use different parts of different minifigures to make the characters that I want. Here are a few that I have recently made: Any thoughts, comments or suggestions would be appreciated. I would also really like to see any other "makeshift figs" any of you all have created![emoji1] EDIT: The 4 figures are Black Panther, Apocalypse, Luke Skywalker, and The Winter Soldier

I truly love how versatile Lego is. I will not post the whole thing here interested parties are welcome to visit the main page for this MOC: http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/429100 Briefly, this is another installation into a series of Technic models that use air for power. No PF functions: http://www.moc-pages.com/folder.php/198856 and uses a Lego turbine for function. All Lego. No modified or third-party elements. People have built functional turbines in the past, but, IMO none that have focused on looks at all. My attempt at least tries to resemble a real-looking turbine. Thanks for looking!

A while back I purchased some lego from one of the owners of Brick Bricks, a terminator salvation MOC, a few other bits and this along with a bulk lot of loose. After asking him I found out it was the beginning to a basement for the HH. Its been sat in the cupboard since, until a few day back when I fitted the HH to it a started covering the floors and adding details. Now don't get me wrong the majority of the work was not done by me, he is an amazing builder and has added secret passage ways sliding doors, prison cells, and there is a battery pack installed ready for a lighting kit. Any way just thought I'd share, get some tips and feedback. I've got a brick link o…

For bigger builds is there a preferred way to sort bricks for building? I am getting ready to embark on my first really big build.

Here is my rendition of a drag racer “funny car.” Not built for looks, but for acceleration. This was achieved by both including raw power but also limiting the weight of the model (989 grams), and also reducing friction as much as possible (thus the odd front wheels). This build was somewhat inspired by Lego 42050. Contrary to many, I actually really like Technic set 42050. Not for looks to be sure, but at least the looks were consistent with the name usually given to these cars (i.e. “funny car”; TLG mercifully titled the 42050 “drag racer” but I think “funny car drag racer” fits better). The obvious lacking in the set was any speed. How can you have a drag racer a…

I was going to have the my latest build review be for the 75902 Scooby Doo Mystery Machine set. After watching my son building the set with some help from me, I decided against it (for now). Don't get me wrong, it's a GREAT little set and decent build. The only "Con" if I were to nitpick would be the inability to fit everyone (Fred, Shaggy, Velma, Daphine and Scooby) in front just like in the cartoon. After looking online, I was able to locate someone who slightly modified the van to allow more interior room for Scooby. I further enlarged the interior for more width. This was helpful and gave me ideas to further enhance the van to fit the entire gang. I estima…
