I am going to put together a winter village this year and need some white baseplates. Any recommendations on a source for white baseplates? Any other suggestions for Winter Village layouts?

So I've decided to build my own Lego Star Wars chess set after being inspired by a few different versions I've seen online. I want a neat way to display my SW minifig collection and to expand into some of the figs I don't have. A few Bricklink orders have been placed and I've sorted out most of my piece selections. just thought I'd canvass the community on ones where I'm a little undecided. So vote away! Question 1 - Rebel pawns - Hoth trooper vs Rebel pilots Q2 - And all 8 exactly the same or have variants? Q3 - Imperial/Dark Side rooks - Wampa & Rancor vs Grievous & Droideka My board is going to have a 5x5 stud per square footprint, so no…

With today's newer sets this isn't really an issue as they come in nice numbered bags that you open a step at a time. But when you get a large used set or heaven forbid you open a vintage set ( ) how do you go about the build process? Do you pre-sort following some routine or do you dump it in a pile and find each piece type as needed? Which way is faster? Do you do it your way for speed, or perhaps a more enjoyable build experience?

Hi, With the recent announcement of set "71040-1: The Disney Castle", the list of largest Lego sets has once again changed. In fact, this list changed 6 times so far in 2016. Here is the current Top 45 list sorted by largest. I also include the set # and year each debuted. I will continue to update this list and ultimately create a blog for it. note: Educational, Samsonite and bundle lots are excluded. I was actually going to post a question about what the difference was in certain shades of blue (like Maersk blue compared to medium azure) but instead I found this image comparing most of the blues to blue-greens Lego has used over the years. I find it interestingly helpful and thought you may too. >Lego Blues by cjedwards47, on Flickr (from left to right) Sand blue Dark turquoise Light aqua Bright light blue Medium blue Maersk blue Medium azure Dark azure Blue Dark blue And the tiles are Sky blue, which appears to be the closest match to Medium azure.

I have been rebuilding some sets piecemeal for my own collection and several times now I have need lego rope. being that it's just for me and doesn't need to be 100% original I have been trying to find good replacement string/cord/rope for the lego ropes and I just have not been having any luck. everything is ether too thin or too thick. The lego ropes do come in several different thicknesses and materials which also makes it a bit challenging. so what do you all do when you need some lego rope? it's just hard to justify the prices on the original thing...

It took me a whole lot of planning as well as an understanding of the full sized modular houses but I finally managed to come up with a design utilizing only the pieces included with the three Log Cabin sets I purchased. As it currently stands, it is not a true modular design. However, that can easily be remedied by placing this build across a 16x32 baseplate and inserting four 1x2 bricks with the Technic pin hole in the proper spots but of course that would have used parts not included in the original set(s) itself so they were omitted for this personal challenge of my own design. I was lucky there were just enough tiles to cover the floor and furniture of which I really…

  18. I know this is a resellers forum but hopefully someone can help me out? A friend reached out to me asking if I could do an approx. 4” version of either Science World or the Harbour Center at her bosses request. These are 2 buildings located in Vancouver BC Canada. I let her know I’m the wrong person for the job but I’d post the question on here to see if there would be any takers or is there a forum/group that I may have better luck with? I’d appreciate any info. Thanks in advance.

  19. If you're like me, you've always wanted a pub for your town! (Okay I actually wanted an Irish pub but this is good too!) This was recently added (I think, it wasn't there before) to the list of designs available at Brick Builders Pro. White Lion English Pub - instructions page I only wish I could find a real build of the design. It is impressive but would be more so if actually built. Guess I'm just picky that way. Added the parts list image. This design uses: 1,841 pieces

Most of you will know R2D2 from Star Wars and of course the LEGO Set might be on your list when it comes to investments. (I guess if some investors did actually build the sets they own they could build a small droid army ^.^ ) Since it's an awesome LEGO model I guess that a lot of you own one for yourselves as well. Doing most important research on the internet I found some nice R2D2 MOCs/Versions that I'd like to share with you all because I think they are awesome and add some spice to the normal model. Hope you enjoy them.

A collection of stories about a world supported by four elephants standing atop a giant turtle filled with all sorts of characters including Death (Not death with a little "d" but Death with a big "D" as in the person.) were written with such wit and humor, there is no doubt as to why these tales amuse and inspire so many. Though the storyline may progress no further and the author sorely missed, Sir Terry Pratchett's fable will never be forgotten. The All-American Great Barn featuring a double design with Cluck’s Family Restaurant and Red Rooster Farms. Choose the model with included parts list and then build a modular style restaurant suitable for your Chicken Suit Guy or go completely rural with a charming farm for a country side setting (also good for Chicken Suit Guy). Instructions are available to purchase here. (Note: Cluck's Restaurant version requires 1,246 pieces while the Red Rooster Farms requires 1,786 pieces.)
