Hi guys, I have just finished another micro landscape in time for the Battlefront Death Star DLC. I wanted to do something different from some of the other trench run mocs I have seen and so I chose the moment Han comes to Luke's rescue and shoots down one of the tie fighters. I really like the drama in this scene and Im really happy with the way it has turned out. The inspiration for Luke's Xwing and Vader's tie came from a post by 'BEAVeR' (http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=84301) however I really wanted to get R2 in this scene and so instead of a 1x2 white tile for the nose I went for a 1x1 and added a 1x1 blue stud to represent R2 behind the cockpit. Thanks…

Hi there guys, so I have finished another micro lansdcape moc. This time its the forest moon of Endor. I have tried to keep everything on a 16x16 base in keeping with my other micro landscapes. Does it look too packed though?I have been inspired by a few mocs already out there (2muchcaffine and sarah von noppenquader) but added a few elements of my own.Lego Micro Moc - Endor byI have built my shuttle in 'flight mode' as if it is taking off from the platform (with Luke and Vader on board!) However the wings do fold down and it fits onto the platform if I wanted to. I just prefer the composition of the piece with the shuttle higher up.This was actually a lot trickier than I…

Hi guys, another post from me today! I thought I would quickly post this mod on a MOC I made. Earlier I had built the end scene from Revenge of the Sith with Vader, The Emperor and Moff Tarkin looking at the death star being built. I was in the process of dismantling it for parts when I suddenly realised that the exact same shot was used in The Force Awakens as well. So before taking it apart I did a quick modification on it to turn it into Kylo Ren watching the Star Killer base fire its super laser. Hi guys, so I have been very busy recently with my builds! I have a lot to share starting with this recreation of a classic scene. IMG_20161203_151458 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr This build sits on a 12x14 base. I have tried to recreate the weather vane as faithfully to the film. IMG_20161203_135638 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr The Luke mini fig is a custom, which I dont often like using, however the printing work on this figure is outstanding and looks perfect. IMG_20161208_225410 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I am really happy with the technique to make the bridge and think it works really well. IMG_20161207_145604 by dimitrin…

Hi guys, so I was somewhat inspired by a recent job where I got to work at the legendary Abbey Road studios! I decided to make my own version of the iconic Beatles album cover using a mix of the new Beatles mini figs (for the yellow submarine) and some of my favourite imperials. Hi guys, here is a little MOC I put together. IMG_20161014_164521 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I had a few spare bits lying around and had recently acquired a Tauntaun so I thought I would put it to good use! DSC_1899 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr DSC_1942 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I wanted to make this as movie accurate as possible so that is why the colour palette on this build is more grey, to reflect the night time setting of the scene, rather than the traditional tan colours of Jabba's Palace. I should point out the gungan head isnt movie accurate but I put that in for a bit of fun! IMG_20161014_192613 by dimitrinicomanis, on F…

Hey guys, I have just finished another build, which I would love to share with you all. I call this 'Jabba's PIzza Hutt' Jabba's Pizza Hutt by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr For a change this is not related to any scene or landscape from the Star Wars saga but rather a bit of fun I was having with my newly acquired Jabba figure. I had quite a bit of fun with this, like the Emperor's order being number 66... Jabba's Pizza Hutt by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Jabba's tail being too big for his own restaurant! This is my first build that I will share with you! The M:Tron Mining Base! The Story The mine supplies the galaxy with all the Brickonium found in these mountains. The base has operated for quite some time now without any Blacktron interference. The Classic Space Command Center has sent a Galaxy Explorer to check up and make sure everything is running smoothly. The magnetic crane is loading the freighter with the precious crystal, as the satellite towers control air flight and help the freighters leave the atmosphere safely. The Build The build took me about 25 to 30 hours to complete over the course of 10 to 12 days. I had a blast! The mountain scape was slightly diffic…

Hi guys, just a quick update but a micro build I am very pleased with! I have wanted to build a micro Falcon for sometime now and this actually took a bit longer than I had hoped but I am really happy with the end result. Untitled by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Its only 4x4 but I have managed to get in all the details that make the Falcon the iconic ship it is. Untitled by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr The base wasn't part of my original idea but I had the Falcon on a tan plate just as a random support and suddenly thought it would look quite cool if there was a micro Mos Eisley below. Hi guys, to celebrate Rogue One hitting the screens in the UK I have gone back to my favourite style of building and created this Scarif micro landscape. Hi guys, here is a little MOC I made of my favourite star wars poster, the Episode 1 teaser poster entitled 'Every Saga Has A Beginning' I loved the poster, thought it was so evocative and I wanted to try and recreate it in lego as a 3d Model. The shadow was a bit tricky at first but I am pretty happy with how it turned out - if anyone has any other ideas on how to improve it I would love to know! Anyway, there isnt much to this post as there is really only one angle this MOC works! Hope you enjoy and any feedback, comments and advice welcome. Thanks

Hey guys, so I really enjoyed making my first micro landscape MOC (Jakku) so I decided to make a really iconic scene from the original trilogy and decided to make a Battle of Hoth MOC on a 16x16 plate.I tried to get all the iconic parts from the film into the MOC. Inspiration from a few various sources and a few twists of my own!The one thing I am aware of is that the snow speeder is completely out of proportion with the scene however I tried to make smaller models and they just didnt look right. Therefore I have tried to give the illusion that the speeder is flying high up above the battle.Im really pleased with how this MOC has turned out and would be great to hear any …

Hi there guys, this is my first post and I am sharing with you my first ever MOC! I would love to know your thoughts as well as any tips, advice or guidelines to help me with future builds. The courtyard is a two set build of the official 'Battle on Takodana' set and can actually slide out from the front as its own piece. The forest to the side of the castle (representing where Kylo Ren confronts Rey for the first time) is also its own piece and can slide out if you want to use it as a separate element. The main tower lifts off as does the entire roof section on the left hand side revealing more tables, patrons and the performance area for the band. The turret on…

Hey everyone, here is the first micro landscape I did. Its a very simple little MOC, only 16x16 and its actually based on the loading screens from Lego: The Force Awakens on the PS4 (for those of you who have played it you might recognise it?)I really enjoyed making this little model and I am quite tempted to do similar scenes for all the famous locations of the entire sage (any suggestions welcome!)Anyway as always be great to know your thoughts!

  16. So last night my wife convinced me of putting together a 10222 to be a part of our Holiday Village that we are displaying in our living room. The build was fun and the final outcome was awesome. I had put together last December the 10199 and thought it was, also, a cool, fun build with a sweet final result. The colors, the pieces - some of them were new to me -, the minifigures... Pretty enjoyable experience. The downside, my set came short of one piece, one of the unique pieces of this set, a brown 'sky', Brickset part 6020989. I have already contacted Lego over this, I expect them to ship the missing piece anytime now. First time this has ever happened in my…

Just have to say this is pretty incredible. http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-57577773-1/behold-an-amazing-200000-piece-lego-alien-city/ Crafted out of more than 200,000 Lego pieces and taking over 600 hours to build, the sculpture, designed entirely by Doyle, depicts a wondrous alien civilization. There's something Gothic about his soaring spires, bridges, buttresses, and villages clustered about the city's base. 600 hours!!! Good for you buddy! I wonder if he will sell it to me for $500?

Hi Brickpickers! I finished building the 2nd floor of my Pet Shop, but the maintenance guy is just about to paint the walls for remodeling. I want to redesign my 2nd floor, but have any of you created a design plan with more rooms, a bed, tv, etc as a MOC? Please comment or add pictures to this thread!

Specifically wanted to start a topic to discuss what has now become a series-within-a-series. You all know what I mean here, 31026 Bike Shop and Cafe 31036 Toy and Grocery Shop 31050 Corner Deli Now that they've continued the trend of releasing one of these each year (ok first one was two buildings in one) I think the trend is going to improve the long term prospects here. Even if you look at these from a "I don't care about the street theme there" perspective, they're still great piece fodder for building towards the larger modular buildings. I wish I had the funds to allocate to this series. How do you g…

I finally completed this video. It's been sitting in my studio for years. I had to purchase about a dozen missing pieces from bricklink.com. I really enjoy this set because it's not often that Lego releases an all out "brick" sculpture made of basic bricks. I hope you enjoy the video.
