  2. TRU.ca has 3817 The Flying Dutchman on sale for $20 ($10 off). Honestly not sure if this sale is new or just an ongoing clearance that i never saw, only just noticed it today. Also the same price on the TRU Canada ebay store, listed as "limited stock available".

  3. Started by lobo1969,

If anyone missed out on some 20% technic LEGO at TRUs, Best Buy.ca has the same sale on their technic selection until March 19. Other various sets are discounted at various amounts but nothing significant that I've noticed. Hardly worth mentioning.

Perhaps this would be a useful topic. I searched all topics under the Canada forums and nothing really stood out as a good place to discuss "Would you/Should you Buy or Sell?" Let's keep the conversation simple and avoid those specifics particular to each of our individual situations, such as needing cash now, needing to move stock etc. I'd like to focus discussions on each particular offer, considering factors such as set value and prediction on the future of the set(s). Let me start it off. On a local buy/sell site I posted 2 separate ads, one for 75054 (At-At) at $225 and the other for 10225 (R2-D2) for $450. I was offered $600 for both. Would you? Why/…

Retail price is $90 up here so this is a good deal. I'm not big on the set myself but my son is so I bought one. If someone else gets it for him for Christmas I'll hold it for resale.

So for this coming week, all Technic and Galaxy Squad sets are 20% off. Licensed storage and display cases 20% off. Select Chima sets 20% off.

  7. Started by Sandwraith,

Just placed an order this morning for 2 GE's while it was still in stock on both TRU.ca and TRU Canada ebay and just got a cancellation e-mail saying there were none in stock. Sure enough TRU.ca and ebay lists it as OOS now. Have 3 myself, but was looking for a couple more, oh well. Certainly a good sign! I know some of you have some GE's from TRU that were thinking of returning, don't do it!

I've been to a few locations in Toronto and they have some Ninjago and swamp police sets for 25% off. I used to find good lego deals at a few places fairly regularly over the years but now they just seem to get a handful of sets for the holidays and that's it.

  9. Started by thirsty,

Best way to sell bulk lego? Divide into colors and sell by the pound? Is it worth it going after some of the better sets in the pile? I have more than one old airport (3182, 60022), trainsets, some Indiana Jones and maybe a Hogwarts Castle. Also the construction crawler and some bigger boats. It wouldn't phase me to buy the instructions and possibly a used box on brinklink and piece it together for completion. What about minifigs? A bit of everything, some star wars, etc. Sell in bulk. Wheels and windows? Piles of them, divide them out and sell? I've been separating the crap blocks from OG Lego and then washing. What should I do with the BT…

  13. So finally my Walmart lowered this set. I have had my eye on it for some time. It had gone to 50 and then 45 but finally today it was on for 25. I grabbed all 5. Maybe other Walmart will be doing the same. Sent from my Passport using Brickpicker mobile app

  14. The TOYS TOYS TOYS store at the TD Centre downtown is having their semi-annual 40% off lego sale right now. Bear in mind that their regular prices are typically 10-20% more than standard retail prices, but even so this is a decent sale and they have most current sets, and even some that I haven't seen in a while, like the red Ninjago Samurai Robot. As an example, after the discount the Rancor pit would be $60 plus tax, which is the best price I've seen yet for this set in Canada.

  15. Not an investment set and maybe one of the most undesirable for some in the Lego movie sets but for those looking to get all the Lego movie sets (like me) this is a steal in Canada!! Use this link as its the Brickpicker one 70806 Castle Cavalry

Not sure if anyone needs one after the TRU sale, but it's there if you got to have another one: http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00J4S962W/ref=s9_simh_gw_p21_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0MEN6B6T7Y0PTPACD4V9&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1687860322&pf_rd_i=915398

On indigo.ca, you can use the code 25OFFONEBTS to get a 25% discount on nearly anything (including Lego) online. If you want to buy a book, to get a discount you have to buy instore, but a Lego set can be bought online with the code for 25% off. You have until August 18th to cash in on this deal. The discount even made the front page on Brickset: http://www.brickset.com/news/article/?ID=7315#comments With the discount, you can knock down the prices on a variety of sets, from a Helm's Deep for 127 dollars to a Mini Technic Tow Truck for 11.24 (I strongly recommend both sets from an investment perspective they both have great potential). Happy hunting

  18. Many Costco's have the F1 Technic 42000 on for $99.99. I don't expect they will last long. Ajax Costco had about 30 left and over half were sold.

Just starting a thread for it. Anyone else have any luck finding these sales? I'll check some places today on my way home from work. It sounds like it may be a store specific clearance though, but i hope i'm wrong!

No Tax weekend again at RCSS (Real Canadian Super Store) for tomorrow (and I believe Sunday). Great if you want to pick up the smaller sets that RCSS offers. Saw a couple of Captain America cycles today for 11.97 clearance at the Oakville location. Good luck!

  24. Was just there an hour ago looking around generally and they have 8 or so Helms Deep on the shelves. Unfortunately they are at retail price ($180 I think it was) and most are a little scuffed somewhere. But if you absolutely need one....
