Are Lego Super Hero sets considered a decent investment? Since there will be more Marvel and D.C. movies in the future. Any thoughts?

Everyone knows about the CC and Toy Fair exlusive Superhero polybags, but I think LEGO should start making $5 polybags for Superheroes like the LOTR ones at Toys R Us. Since there are hundreds of DC and Marvel superheroes, they could release ten or so every six months and then retire them and release new ones. This would make them pretty hard to find and collectible. They could release obscure characters not availible anyware else like Mole Man and Plastic Man as standard figs, and Ben Grim, and Big Birtha, built like the Cave Troll, Goblin King and Hulk! I think collectors would buy these things up instantly, and the fact that they are only available for a short tim…

In your opinion, what do you think will preform the best in the secondary market? Im overwhelmed looking at this theme cause frankly i think these are ridiculously cool and just cant decide whats best. I know everyone says buy what youd build just in case its a bust but everyone of these i would build if the market tumbles.

I'm not too interested in the sets, but I'm pretty new to the site, browsing for about a week, and I've not seen Super Heroes really talked about once. Why is this? I don't have any of the sets and haven't handled any of the boxes IRL, are they bad or do people just think they won't be worth much? Personally, disregarding the fact that I know nothing about the sets themselves, I woulda thought they'd be decent to good for investing -- what's BrickPicker's general opinion on the theme?

I have been hearing rumors that there will be more Superman sets coming out this year to go along with the Superman movie this summer. Does anyone have any photos, or set names yet? Or any idea when we should expect to see these in stores? I was just thinking about it and was curious as I'm a huge Superman fan and very anxious to see when/if/and/or what we are getting as far as Superman sets this year.

  6. I like to build my own little custom display stands for my mini figures, so my question is this... Does the enormous (in LEGO proportions) Hulk figure have little LEGO fittings on the bottom of his feet? It would look weird if I had to have him standing there off to the side because there was no way to attach him to it. I don't want to be accused of segregation because he is big and green! I don't play that! Thanks to whoever can answer this for me!

  7. Any thoughts on how these sets will do? I know there is going to be an Iron Man 3 movie and Captain America 2 so I should think that would help them stay popular. The DC sets should stay popular at least until a little bit after the release of the new Batman movie. I think Lego will definitely make a second wave of the Marvel and DC sets. Edit: To narrow this down a bit more do you think the Marvel or DC line will do better?

Hi all. Noobie here. This guy is selling all the below for $300 on craigslist. I'm definitely interested in the super hero sets, but don't know about the rest of the stuff. Is this a good investment? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
