So...it's been heavily rumoured that TLG will be producing a TMNT theme in the not-so-distant future! The latest article is here (It's French, so you might need to translate it): http://www.hothbricks.com/2012/09/lego-tmnt-encore-une-confirmation-pour-2013/
What do you think about the idea of a theme like that? I remember that the TMNT action figures a couple years back had HUGE collecting potential. I still have a big bucket of 'em in my basement! Do you think a LEGO theme will sell equally well? Are ya gonna invest in them? Or...do you think the whole rumour is false? Share your thoughts here!
Sir von Lego on Eurobricks has given some tiny bits of detail for the 2014 LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sets. Again, there will be seven sets in the next wave, four for the Nickelodeon animated series and three for the upcoming film. Unfortunately, there are no details for the movie sets. My son has come across this TMNT mini figure. He told me for day's it was worth something so finally gave in and had a look and apparently it's a comic con 2012 shadow leonardo! Now everywhere I look it says it's rare. How would I go about seeing if it's legit and not a replica or where would I start in even selling it to someone who would appreciate it more than a child. Any help would be highly grateful.
79104, purchased 2 today at the Shopko BOGO 50% for $44 and change. What does the community think, good investment, or risky bet?! I was thinking it was an ok buy due to the movie on the horizon and 79104 is the biggest set in the TMNT line so far.
Not sure if anyone has seen Shredder's Lair set yet, but TRU has it on their website. It's NOT a new version of the TMNT Lair - it's actually Shredder's base. Anyone staying away from the lair because they thought it might be a redo of the first should probably reconsider.
EDIT: Looks like a new purple version of the Shredder minifigure.
What are the views on this?
I've bought one from LEGO Shop at Home here in the U.K. with approx 10% off and free delivery (when you factor in VIP points and cashback).
Brickset just reported a new polybag has been found on eBay for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme.
It comes with 36 pieces and a Krang in machinebody minifigure (the one from the Shellraiser Street Chase set).
Here is the link.

So what's up with this set? I have been lucky to find a few over the past year for under $20 each. So far I've been satisfied with the quick flip for near 100% net profit. But they seem to have good demand, and sell quickly (sells much faster than 79116 Big Rig Snow Getaway). I don't know much about TMNT. Is there something special about this set? Is the…

What do you guys think about the new Flashback Shredder minifigure that you get when you spend over $75 at Lego LEGO Shop at Home? Is it worth getting? I think it looks cool and would love to get one. I don't know if it's better to get one off of eBay for $10 or should I wait to see if the price goes down? Will it go down or will it always be more expensive because it was an exclusive giveaway? I'm not sure if I'll be buying anything from Lego LEGO Shop at Home anytime soon.
Check out this perfect build of the original Turtle Van by Alex Jones (Orion Pax on flickr).
Beats the new one in "The Shellraiser Street Chase" by a longshot!
Alex Jones also has some other fantastic builds in his gallery.
