Hello, Looking for some info on lego key chains. Why are grey tag versions rarer than others. Also some have the lego logo printed on the back of the minifigure does this mean anything? Thanks

I'm at a Homeschooling convention this weekend promoting my non-LEGO business. My booth features my RFID-controlled LEGO train, a perpetual crowd pleaser ... see a video below this post. Haven't really had the time to explore the convention apart from passing a few booths during quick restroom trips, but noticed the following booth (btw, these Homeschooling conventions are a rather Christian affair, so the theme of this booth is totally unsurprising): That poster reads "Jericho" btw, a brickfilm (you can see it being played back on the TV screen). Shortly after I had a nice conversation at my booth with a lady from Lawrenceburg, KY whose kids were interested in …

  5. I would love to know which would save or make you more money in the long run... 1) Using your investment and subsequent investments (would love approximate examples from some of you) on buying Lego and flipping year after year and determining actual return on it after paying taxes (assuming most of you do on your sales/net income) 2) taking that initial deposit and subsequent "additional money" and paying down your home loan and how much interest you would save over the life of the loan Let's keep time value of money out of it, as well as, inflation Here's a quick example on the loan side... $200,000 Loan, 30 yr, 4% (total interest paid through t…

Hi, everyone! I have a lot of loose bricks (for us to build with). I try to keep them sorted, usually by type and colour. The problem with that is that it may not be practical and can slow down building times. For example: We have a big 30litre tub of white/pink/purple bricks (actual bricks, not plates or tiles or slopes). Looking for a 1x3 in there can sometimes take a while. My novel idea is to have a multi-container method with 4 colours and 4 brick sizes in 4 smaller tubs, but not quite the way you would expect. e.***. In tub 1: 1x1 white, 1x2 pink, 1x3 dark pink, 1x4 purple. In tub 2: 1x2 white, 1x3 pink, 1x4 dark pink, 1x1 purple. …

So we're having a Lego Birthday Party for my son's 6th birthday next month. We've come up with some games and activities, and I wanted to run it by you guys to see if anyone had other ideas that might be fun. This could be a good reference source as well, I know a number of you also have young kids! 1. Lego Scavenger Hunt- I'll hide a bunch of bricks and other pieces around our back yard, and the kids can hunt for them until they are all found. 2. Lego Relay Race- The kids will split into two teams, and have to move as many bricks from one bucket to another using only a spoon, and then using a straw to hold a brick with suction and move it from one side to the other. 3.…

It took a long time of searching the net (as well as technology itself progressing) but I finally found a program which will allow you to create your own video games without needing to write a single line of code! It is called Arcade Game Studio created by Bruno R. Marcos and became available just last year. Although you cannot exactly make every type of game there is (mainly 3D and a few specific titles), you can create just about anything similar to arcade titles from the 80's like Ghosts 'n' Goblins, Commando, Galaga, Contra, or Pac-Man, to the 90's like Black Tiger, Operation Varth, Batrider, R-Type, or Metal Slug. Oh, and did I mention the program is free? …

So in order to get purchases to $50 to use Wendy's GCs at TRU, I grabbed a few Series 11 minifigures... And in the spirit of the holiday, 3 out of the 4 contained: Yeti Gingerbread Man Santa's Elf Boom.

  11. I live in Seattle, so I got a chance to see the second showing of the new LEGO documentary. It is a fun film, and shows off a lot of the great things that LEGO fans are building around the world. If you want to learn more, I've put together a detailed review on my blog which calls out my highlights from the film. LINK Sincerely, ---tom
