I'm not shipping Lego, but I figure with the vast number of people shipping sets around the world that maybe there was someone out there that had sent a large package internationally and could give me some advice. It looks like UPS has the cheapest rate (a little over 200 for 5 boxes at 40 lbs each), but I've heard about some other places that may offer freight rates, like DHL. Thanks for sharing your experiences!

A board game called Boxers or Briefs. Game was clearanced out of most Walmarts in 2011 but still is around. The game will cost no more than $8. It seems only 1-10 Walmarts still have the game left, so don't get your hopes up. If you live in Maine or NH don't bother wasting your time. I bought them. This past Christmas sales ran $35-$60 per sealed copy. Right now you would probably only get $15-$20. Christmas 2011 sealed copies were selling for $25 - $30. It is an easy $50 for 2013 Christmas.

I received the 10% coupon with my latest LEGO catalog. I thought I was going to use but find my wallet a bit short after the last month. If anyone wants it and will actually use it, e-mail me your address and I will drop it in the mail on Monday. Keep in mind that it expires on July 7th and I am in NorCal, so it may take 3 days to get to the East Coast. Happy shopping!

Can anyone recommend decent Lego podcasts? I'm aware of the video reviews available on YouTube but looking for something to listen to in the car. I listened to the one show Ed and Jeff were on once but it seems more geared toward MOCs (plus, I can't find it anymore using the iPhone Podcast app). Additioanlly, many existing podcasts seemed to have stopped.

I just saw this and I must say, it's pretty cool. My cousin mentioned it reminded him of running in old first person shooters (like Quake and Half-Life) and I must say, that is exactly what it looks like to me but with much better texturing of course. http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/redmond/projects/hyperlapse/

I don't anything about these figures/models or whatever they are but they look pretty awesome. Are they posable? Collectible? Can a child actually play with them like an action figure? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bandai-The-Robot-Spirits-R-121-MSN-04-Sazabi-Gundam-Chars-Counterattack-Figure-/131077742131?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&nma=true&si=IHbIp%252FanUciKOQ%252FVZc9BJUr8RSE%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc#ht_734wt_1362

Just noticed this Groupon deal. Probably not much of an investment, but pretty cool for kids. Good deal since retail is $24.99. http://www.groupon.com/deals/gg-lego-torch-1?utm_medium=afl&utm_campaign=227502&utm_source=rvs

I wanted to get your opinions before I order this part. The black cylinder cost around $30 a piece. I am deciding what to use instead of that piece. Should I go with a different color Cylinder (Red or DKStGrey) or go with a bunch of black 4x4 macaroni pieces. Thanks for looking.

LEGOLAND evacuated LEGOLAND California was evacuated today, because of the fires in San Diego. The park was threatened by the fires in Carlsbad, and power was shut down to the park. My biggest question - I wonder if they're going to have a fire sale? (I was one of many people evacuated in San Diego today).

Just received delivery of a DS 10188, my first set. While inspecting the box, I noticed two things on the inner box that came with my set (the one that has LEGO's brand and the words TOY repeated all over the top). First it says "Death Star v140". As a programmer, I'd say that means this is the 140th version of the Death Star? Secondly, the label also stated the manufacturing date, which from 1403 means March, 2014. This is just extra info, but I'm not sure if it gives any hints. Mods, I'd appreciate if you would kindly merge this to the appropriate thread if it has already been discussed before. Thanks!

What a load of BS. Now I have to change internet provider as I never want to touch comcast with a ten feet pole. I do not know anyone who has Comcast and not complain about it. I should have filled those petitions for Google Fiber http://money.cnn.com/2014/02/13/technology/comcast-time-warner-cable-deal/

Hello everyone- Just wanting to find out from those based in the US who have sent subscription to the Bricks and Bricks Culture magazines, if you already received Issue #1? It's been almost two months since I paid and I still have to receive anything in the mail. All I got a few weeks back was an e-mail on how to access it electronically. I see that Issue #2 is soon to be out. Any info is appreciated. Thank you.

Lego released a new game for the Wii U called Lego City Undercover. It is generally receiving good reviews. Do any of you gals/guys plan on buying the game? I personally don't own a Wii U so I won't be getting this game. A link to a review is below. Link.

We have a new baby. I'm holding her, rocking her, watching TV that I'm not super interested in, but what else can you do? Well, I have an ironing board in front of me and random Lego parts that I'm sorting. The ironing board is a good height for sorting generally, in front of the TV, whether you have a baby or not.
