Tonight at the Lego store the clerk swiped my VIP card and then goes "huh? I never seen that before!" yeah, my account showed a negative points balance. After a call to customer service, turns out my card was "out of sync." Lego will mail me a new card with what they say is the appropriate balance. But i don't know if they're right. Moral is, keep track of your VIP points.

I had an interesting thought after hearing how many people dislike lego investors, be it companies or lego collectors. Without lego investors there would be little to no chance that people would be able to get an older set they may want. prices for older sets (having less stock around years after they EOL), would be through the roof. Point being that lego collectors should thank us. I enjoy selling on ebay and giving people things that are harder to find. So yeah...we should all pat ourselves on the back, because we are all making someone very happy when we sell them sets that are no longer available. On a semi-related note...I know this video is kind of old, but it is…

I thought today's kids were too fat to move and their parents too scared to let them go outside?!?! My mistake....

Hello great people! Who is all going to this weeks awesome event? Unfortunately, I can only make Sunday and plan on checking out all the booths and spending cash on all the goodies! I remember last year it was crazy and plenty of collectibles being sold by great vendors. Anyone going or selling this weekend?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuBSRC1zpHw Just a really great speech about hard work and having no job above you. I thought some of you might enjoy it, I know I thought it was a great message (especially for teens).

You ever have one of those situations where you know you have a few of a certain set, are pretty sure you did not sell them yet, but just can't find them? Just found my Combine Harvesters (7636). For some reason I was thinking the box was green, so the blue blended in with another set in a stack in the garage and I just never thought it was them. Now I know where they are. Woot! Happened a couple of months ago too when I found I didn't sell all my Venators (8039). That's always nice to open a box and expect to see a different set and instead it's Venators. Happen to anyone else? An unexpected surprise finding a set or two that you didn't know you still h…

A little late with this bit of news but, eh, better late than never. Anyway, an article from Plastics News reported that the Lego company is planning on devising a new sustainable resin to replace its current usage of ABS plastic in its signature bricks by the year 2030. The search for that new resin will not be easy, though. Not only must the selected material be able to meet the same characteristics as the locking building blocks, they must also blend seamlessly with bricks already in children

So I tried to use a Target GC from that 10% promo and it did not work. I got home and called target and found out they deactivate it due to a limit of $300 per household. Anyone else experience this?

Check this interesting article I found on forbes.com http://www.forbes.com/sites/micahsolomon/2013/12/14/legos-expert-path-to-customer-loyalty-consulting-their-brick-by-brick-approach/ Talks about the CSR response, someone gets when missing brick pieces in their sets, and I could truly relate to that. Amazing read,

Hi all, We're about to start collecting for our own enjoyment all the Lego buildings in the modular/expert creator line. I know which one's are currently available on Lego's site, and I know that Green Grocer and Corner Cafe are now available only on the secondary market. Am I missing any others that were retired in this series besides the two? Thanks!

Anaheim Ducks goalie Frederik Anderson went to a LEGO "Brick Wall" themed LEGO for this season, I didn't notice it until just now watching the ANA/CHI game. http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2015/5/21/8641703/anaheim-ducks-goalie-lego-helmet-frederik-andersen There's a closer look. Pretty sweet!

Married? Single? With grown up children? With very young children? How do you find time to build? How do you find money to invest? I ask because I'm a 29 year old father of 2 girls aged 3 and 1 be my wife is 5 days overdue with our 3rd. I've just bought the VW Camper but now am thinking "when will I find time to build it?!"

Hi, I know every set is different, and some sets are continuing to grow after several years, but what is the typical time for EOL sets price increases to level off? I'm asking as there are several sets out there, that when you look at the graph of sales, are just a flat line for the previous year's data available, so you don't know how long they were in growth. Opinions?
