1. The Death Star will live on for another year and be available until at least December. 2. The Architecture Studio will return (too simple to make; white pieces and a book). 3. Chima will not make the year in being produced, but sets will linger at stores. 4. 2 Modulars will be retired (The Grand Emporium, and likely the pet shop, and possibly the town hall) 5. Helm's Deep will end the year valued just below $200 on eBay (not Amazon). I would like to be wrong about this. 6. May the 4th will bring a deal on the Superstar destroyer, I'm guessing around $300. 7. We will get our first teaser trailer for Star Wars around Christmas. …

since i'm an original trilogy snob, i'm only including the posters of the "real" movies (plus ROTS as a bonus) source = http://brickfanatics.co.uk/classic-star-wars-posters-just-got-an-awesome-lego-makeover/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+brickfanatics+%28Brick+Fanatics%29

Haven't seen anyone bring up this topic, Im curious about everyone's previous hobbies they had or collections they accumulated. I myself was an avid model train enthusiast, building and collecting HO scale models. I transitioned away from model trains into Lego recently and it's definitely just as enjoyable, even more addicting!

Well I buy 100's of boxes a year or so, either from Staples.com, uline.com or from a box company in Baltimore. Now it seems like Staples.com is the best place to get them, as the Quality is as good as uline.com and the price is way cheaper as Staples has free shipping. As for the Perfect box for the haunted House, Fire Brigade etc, well I got 100 of them from a box company in baltimore for $1.00 each he had 100 of them so I got all 100 but the way it looks I will need more. "But back to Staples and Uline. I ordered 25 of the 20"X16"x4" This is the perfect box for the Volkswagen camper, Friends Olivia's House, 6868 batcave, Etc. and I also ordered 25 of the 15"x12"x4" this…

My HP C310 photosmart printer has suspiciously stopped working. I honestly believe the latest firmware push/update just bricked this thing. Needless to say I am in the market for a new printer. This printer will be used primarily to print shipping labels and the occasional pictures on photo papers. Any suggestions on what to get ?

Here is my question: I was wondering if anyone knows how I can get the case number from lego.com. Walmart buys from Lego it receives a differnet number depending on the product. Sometimes its 3 per case or maybe 6? My goal is to buy the same number as walmart does from their online store and I would think they wiould ship it from the original box they received it from Lego. I then would like to store it - untouched until its time to sell. I was hoping if i had the upc number - somewhere online it told me the case number. I hope this made some kind of sense. Thanks for any input.

Hi, I have an existing shelving unit in my basement that will be used for my Lego sets. Please see attached picture of a similar one, I store each set vertically and in a basic checkout Target, Walmart, etc... bag for dust protection. The bags also help protect from scuffs when gently sliding sets in and out. One question I have is for those with a similar inventory setup, what do you use on the ends on each self? Do you use a bookend type of object? I currently use a set in a shipping box on each end. I then place a small but sturdy object (e.g. actual bookends).

Just randomly watched the Jimmy Fallon Late Night, which happened to be the final episode, and I noticed that Questlove (?uestlove) was rocking a red LEGO Valentine's Day Heart. For those who don't know of him, he's the drummer for the Roots, who are also the house band for Late Night.

We have a new baby. I'm holding her, rocking her, watching TV that I'm not super interested in, but what else can you do? Well, I have an ironing board in front of me and random Lego parts that I'm sorting. The ironing board is a good height for sorting generally, in front of the TV, whether you have a baby or not.

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/09/06/nyregion/remote-controlled-copter-fatally-strikes-pilot-at-park.html?_r=0 I saw this article as a blurb on a Maker board I go to, but when I read the article and read "sliced his head off", it really started to sink in how dangerous some of these 'toys' can be. I had recently taken my 2 year old to see a model airplane display near our house. I made sure he stay far away from the pilots and the planes, but I never thought that he could have been killed by an errant model.

Alot of people have been asking me why I box my Lego sets up way a head of time. "Well the main reason is its a mental thing, 10 years ago when I had 100's of lego sets laying around, 20 cases or more coming from lego now and then, at first it did not bother me as I was selling be boxed uplots of other toys to, but as I got more and more lego sets and as time went by, I started to crack, so many lego sets I was selling some stuff to early, i wasn't loosing money but on some sets instead of making $300 and up on some Potter older castles, The SW Snow Speeder Then in about 2006 thats when i started boxing all the sets up as I was getting them, see for me seeing all th…

Anyone actually take the time to do the online survey that is on the Target, Toysrus, and other retailers' receipt? Has anyone win the price it said on the survey? I tried a few times and just gave up on them.

Got this message from an eBay customer today after shipping a Friends Sunshine Ranch. "Thank you. I had send that second message before seeing your last one. You are saving my life BTW. Count on kids to ask Santa for a set that doesn't come out until January 1st. "But Santa can get it! He can get anything!" Thanks again." Anyone else have some holiday cheer to spread? Resellers aren't so bad.

Hi all, We're about to start collecting for our own enjoyment all the Lego buildings in the modular/expert creator line. I know which one's are currently available on Lego's site, and I know that Green Grocer and Corner Cafe are now available only on the secondary market. Am I missing any others that were retired in this series besides the two? Thanks!
