I'm kidding of course but a train model 140C will stay a couple of hours in my train-station to have some technical testing. (not this one but nearly the same model) I'm curious to see this thing for real. I'll take some pictures if it's nice looking.

I live in Seattle, so I got a chance to see the second showing of the new LEGO documentary. It is a fun film, and shows off a lot of the great things that LEGO fans are building around the world. If you want to learn more, I've put together a detailed review on my blog which calls out my highlights from the film. LINK Sincerely, ---tom

LEGOLAND evacuated LEGOLAND California was evacuated today, because of the fires in San Diego. The park was threatened by the fires in Carlsbad, and power was shut down to the park. My biggest question - I wonder if they're going to have a fire sale? (I was one of many people evacuated in San Diego today).

Any tips on moving a short distance (~15 miles) with a fairly large collection of displayed sets? Not worried about my new sets, those are already packed up well enough to move easily... but suddenly my army of displayed pieces seems much more difficult to maneuver than I expected. This has literally been the most daunting part of moving to a new house, I don't want to take apart the sets only to rebuild after the trip but I don't want to lose pieces in the move either. Anyone have any tips or horror stories that I should know about? HELP!

Got off night shift, early in the morning, cleaned up the house and put out some flowers for my wife to find in the morning when she wakes up. Seemed bland. Took a few extras and spiced it up a bit. Im sure my little boys will be amused too (Mother's day is May in the U.S. for the Euro readers. That gives me time to prep for a cooler gift for the mother in law in EU. )

I pretty consistently seem to see some Lego deals on slickdeals that make me laugh... Here's another: http://slickdeals.net/f/6916482-lego-city-great-vehicles-camper-van-building-set-60057-for-15-99-it-s-back?src=pdw This deal is getting love somehow over there. Don't get it. SD has seemingly become a place where the force feed deals to pad their pockets. I don't know how many people remember what it was like 6 or 7 years ago... but it has definitely changed.

I believe this is an original printing press / stamp used for LEGO advertisements or something? From my research i would say it dates back to 1950s or 1960s because the format of the "O" in the word "LEGO" changed to the more modern style after this time. It is metal on wood and measures approximately 4" x 3.5" Any information regarding this item would be great! Thanks.

So I've noticed recently that LEGO has been making several changes. Some may be good, some may be bad, but they don't exactly hurt us as investors, except for maybe #3 which is could technically. But let me know if you have some more to add to the list, or is it just me that these things are happening? 1) Condensed boxes. It seems like that the most recent sets I got were almost bigger. This may be because the boxes themselves were smaller to actually fit the set better. I'm not POSITIVE, but I am pretty sure that boxes for most sets (except for battlepacks or $13 sets) have gotten smaller and are a better fit with the set you buy. A couple years ago, I remember buyi…

Has anyone ever watched any of these? They appear to be made by a French married couple, and the choice of music and humor is always enjoyable. They have such a passion for building...smelling each bag after they open them lol.
