Hi. I'm a newbie in the investment world. Have been buying and building Lego's with my 12 year old son for years, but recently became interested in investing as I've seen how some of his sets have gained in value (mostly Star Wars). I only have limited space and funds and have elected to store away a few Star Wars items, Dr. Strange, Volkswagon Beetle, the Beetles Yellow Submarine, the Ghostbuster's Firehouse, and as of today a few Saturn V rockets (Lego Ideas 21309). I plan on holding most about two years, with the exception of the Yellow Submarine which I plan to hold much longer. As for the Saturn V, since they just came out, do you recommend I jump on the ebay ba…

Hey, I'm PowerPete from Germany. As a kid, I loved playing with Lego. Many years have passed without me having much interest in Lego, but somehow my mind changed some months ago. I saw some great sets in a nearby Lego Store and remembered my childhood and the fond memories of Lego. So, I recently bought the bucket wheel exvcavator and built it - 9 hours of great fun, even though I somehow prefer the nopped bricks over the smooth ones. I plan to buy some sets more just for fun and perhaps some as an investment for the future. I still get a rush of enthusiasm when I see sets like the Expert Creator buildings and imagine the endless possibilities of Lego...so I def…

I have loved lego my whole life. Have gotten my kids to love them to. I have passed down a few of my old sets to them and they just love them, looking for that rare piece or mini fig. So just wanted to say hey.

Realized I hadn't posted here yet (registered in 2014) until earlier today. Just a big fan of Lego for almost 30 years, opened a Bricklink store last year and loving buying Lego for the store. It feeds my addiction to buy Lego and earn some money from doing so.

Hi, Have been reading this site for a little while now and wanted to come out of the shadows. This place is great and I enjoy perusing it most days. I came out of my dark ages about a year ago with a kijiji purchase of two 75055 Star Destoyers. My bank account has been in freefall ever since;) I don't have the time to build as much as I would like but love it when I can and especially with my two boys:) Thought I could help put some funds back in the account by selling a few sets, but it is very true that it is easy to buy and harder to sell! I am learning though and I'll make a few bucks some day. Thanks,

Hello all. I am an avid Lego fans, mainly a collector. This forum has wealth of information, and I guess reading through the various threads, I'm slowly turning into a part time reseller. I hope to learn a lot from you folks along the way.

Hello everyone, I'm looking at getting back into LEGO since having last played with it as a child. Mainly I'm interested in getting into free-building but possibly I'd build some sets. I'm considering funding this by investing. Since I don't have much time, I feel the best approach is to buy larger sets which have been out for a while and seem popular wait for them to retire and mature. Are there any articles (I already found this one: ) that would be helpful for me to read on this mode of investing?

Hi everyone! I'm new to the world of Lego investments but have been a lifelong fan. I used to compete in Lego speed building competitions in CA. I have many sets from Bionicle and Star Wars Ultimate Collectors Series that were my initial childhood collections but I'm trying to expand and sort through bulk to rebuild used sets and sell them for profit. Also it would be great if I could get advice from anyone on how to list and display my sets for sale online. I have an ebay and amazon store, but no clue on how to describe products to a professional standard. Is there a place here where anyone might be able to list products for sale? I'm open to any and all suggestion…

Hello everyone, If you couldn't guess, hello from Baltimore, MD USA! Long-time LEGO fan ever since I was a child. I now am grown up and last year I rediscovered how much I love LEGO. I have been building plenty of sets and now am starting to dabble into investing in sets as well as creating time-lapse videos on a YouTube channel I made, which adds another aspect of fun into building. You'll probably catch me in the investing section studying and asking a billion questions :X YouTube Channel!

Hey Lego Fans, I am 26, from the north west of Germany, and a LEGO fan since I can remember. As a kid I loved to play with LEGO and know I found interest in collecting and investing in LEGO and to make long story short ... in the last weeks I bought a couple of sets. The Porsche for me to display it and some SW sets on sale to resale them later. It's fun to inform myself about all the sets and their details and also to hunt for them. I am looking forward to the discussions with you :=)

Hello there! I'm brand new to the world of lego selling. Over the last six months, I have re-sorted over 250 lego sets (City, Chima, Star Wars, Bionicle, Hero Factory, etc.) and almost 43,000 pieces! I was going to sell them by the set at my upcoming garage sale. Can someone give me some guidance as to how to price them? I have them in ziploc bags with their original instruction books, but not the original boxes. Can I get 50% of their original retail prices? This collection goes back many years, so I assume most sets are discontinued. Please help!

Hello all! I am not new to collecting and playing with Lego at all - always have and always will, especially now that my son LOVES anything Lego! So after talking to my son and doing a little investigating I figured we would start a little side business! My son was always asking when new Lego Minifigs came out so i would have to look them up or see what came with which sets. I figured, lets start a MiniFig Subscription for people! You choose between different themes and how many MiniFigs you want delivered to your door each month! It's a pretty cool idea - what do you guys think?

Hi, I'm a collector / builder / investor in Lego. I have been collecting for a few years now and have around 80 sets. They vary from large to small. I tend to collect car based sets as this is a passion of mine, but also buy licenced sets be it Disney Star Wars or Pixar etc. Although it's nice to see the value increase I will never sell them. I had little as a kid and my wife thinks I'm compensating - she may be right?. I do build some occasionally but really just love to collect. So how many sets is too many? At my current rate I will need a bigger house soon! Also I don't tend to display as I want to keep them nice and MISB. ....any thoughts or siml…
