Hello guys, I just created my account minutes ago and I'm excited to learn more. Currently, I only have one Lego set: the 75255 Yoda. I bought it off of eBay for $88 with fees and shipping included-- 12% below current retail. How long should I wait before selling it? Thanks guys!

Hello everyone, I'm French, close to my 30 y/o and I played with legos all my childhood. I spent hours on it, making the most powerful robots in the universe. I discovered that we could invest in legos quite recently, and so I bought two boxes that I keep closed and protected. The Ford Mustang, and James Bond's Aston Martin. I do not yet know the mistakes that can be made, which legos should be invested in and which should not, etc. I hope to learn all this by reading you here. If you have tips or topics to read recommended, feel free to list them here. I started with the topics : "Listing Dos and Don’ts for the New LEGO Investor" and "New to Selling Lego?…

Like many kids, Lego was part of my young childhood. I recall having drawers full of it and as an only child I would play with them by myself. As I entered my teenage years I stopped and never thought about it again. As I grew older it resonated with me as a hobby for nerds and and children only. Fortunately, at 31 I have unexpectedly bcome passionate about Lego again. One day I was in a shopping mall in Shanghai, my girlfriend and I randomly picked up an Empire State Building set and built it together. We had a great time and I was impressed by the changes since I last touched one two decades ago - such as the more mature theme, numbered packs and the introd…

I am sorry to bother all you brickpickers but I am looking for help and I hope this is allowed. My wife and I recently moved and when we left the old place we found a large number of Lego sets our 2 boys played with a while ago. They don't want them anymore so I need to get rid of them. The boys were born in early 80's so they are from late 80's to mid 90's. I went thru the evaluation tool here for some of them and know they are worth something but don't know how to proceed at this junction. I have a list of the names and numbers. Most all of them are complete, one son was very neat and put all the parts in ziplock bags, then back into the box th…

Hi everyone I've often read through these forums, especially the deal threads, but never participated. I'm recently out of the dark ages, but still a closet AFOL - it's my little secret! I recently decided to start posting as I wanted to share back on the deal threads. I pretty much buy any creator expert/ideas/train set that comes out. That's me, sambo!

Brand new BP Member, long time collector. I just created my profile and synced my Brickset profile. All my sets automatically loaded as "New". Is there a way to change my collection to "Used", or do I need to do this manually for every single set? Thank you in advance.

Hi Everyone!! I am new to this site and was hoping someone could tell me how i would start to price a massive lego collection! I have about 300-400 lbs of legos. Most of them are sets, like all the Star Wars and action figure ones. I am pretty sure all the manuals are there too. Could any recommend how I would go about trying to price and sell them? Thank you very much for your help! ~Katie

I've had an account here for a few months, but this is my first time coming to the forums, I am a newly minted AFOL, got into the lego selling business at the start of the year to help fund the hobby. I am still rather unfamiliar with the community, but I am looking forward to getting to know everyone! Sent from my SM-J337T using Brickpicker Forum mobile app

Hi All, I’ve been looking at starting investing / collecting Lego, enjoyed playing with them as a kid and now I have kids of my own I can see how much the kits have improved. As a starter for investment I’ve looked at the Steamboat Willie set that is out now, seems to tick a few boxes in that it’s quite ‘unique’, it’s Disney, and there’s potential for interest to peak for the 100th anniversary of Steamboat Willie in 2028. Only downside is that it seems quite expensive for what you get. What are people’s thoughts on getting started, if you could start out again, how would you do it? Thanks, Chris.

Hello all, first time posting but long time lurker. I started out as an avid collector but as the collection grew and the house didn't, something had to give and started reselling the excess. It's been more than 5 years now and it seems LEGO is making more sets than ever before, so I'm hopeful I'll be able to up my game to keep up with my hobby/addiction.

New member here. Have been building LEGO sets with my kids for about 10 years but only recently got into the whole collecting thing. I did the card collecting thing for over 30 years but kids just never got into it so I sold the collection and we started doing LEGO together. The Ninjago sets are the most popular with my kids but I tend to like sets of retro things like the original Ghostbusters, Scooby Doo, ect, and the Creator sets. Love clearance shopping for LeGO and finding those deals. Recent clearance finds at an out of the way Walmart store include: Pirate Rollercoaster $36. (bought all 4) Millenium Falcon $75 Hogwarts Express $32 (could…

Hola me llamo Craig! Glad to be part of the forum, been trolling a long time! Anyways wanted to brag a bit and show off my new addition. It’s my grail, the set I’ve wanted for a long time! Anyways I primarily collect Star Wars, not really into the buying and selling but I’d be lying if I said I don’t have duplicates of some sets that I’m speculating on. My name is Chris. My granddaughter drug my wife and I into the Le go hobby. She asked for Legos for Christmas. My wife and I sat down and put them together for her. She is 5, she can take them apart and put them back together. She just needed the sets put together first. As we sat there putting them together we realized that it was a fun hobby to do together. I played with Legos as a child in the 70s and 80s. Most of mine were just random blocks. My mother did not have the funds to splurge on the sets I remember begging for. I feel like it is time to make up for what I missed out on as a kid. lol Since Christmas we have done several Friends Heart Lake sets. We h…
