I've bought a 8959 Claw digger off of bricklink for $19 in total including shipping. The set, though does not come with box, instructions, or stickers, but the bags are still sealed. Is it worth buying the rest separately and then sell it, or am I better off keeping this set because of this deal?

I came across this listing on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEGO-8085-Star-Wars-Freeco-Speeder-New-Sealed-Free-US-Shipping-Set-Retired-/111019548247?_trksid=p2054897.l4275 It is a Star Wars Freeco Speeder 8085 for $10,000. The description does not indicate that it was made from unobtainium or anything like that, I am just curious what the purpose of listing this would be. I realize there is a sucker born every minute but you would have to be long lost uncle from Nigeria stupid to fall for this.

Hello, Potentially dumb question here, or at least a question I think I have found an answer to, but wanted to confirm with the community here: Are basic brick boxes, such as the 6177 Builders of Tomorrow, collectible? I suspect that, being simple collections of standard bricks also readily available via Pick-a-Brick, they would not increase much in value. Is this correct?

When it comes to any "collection" I use the rule of 2 or 3. I usually find this is the best way to get rid of a collection. Problem listing it all is usually bigger the lot the less you will make per set. But if you sell it all individuall, the less desirable pieces may not sell. So I like to group them in small groups to ensure everything will get bought, and so I ddon't limit my buyers with a giant lot and don't end up screwed because only one or two people are bidding. I would keep them as sets grouped by theme. Just my 2 cents.

I was able to order 5. Hopefully not so many were sold as to render them lower in value. Currently selling for $130 from third party sellers on Amazon.

I purchased the Vampyre Castle from TRU and it came in today. The box is damaged and I am not completely sure the factory tape seal wasn't messed with. As an investor, you need the box to be in mint condition. I was disappointed and don't know now where I can't get another - this was my only VC. Would you take it back?

Have any of you from the US ever bought stuff from Mexico or South America? I want to open a brick and minifigure store at Bricklink and I would like to know if people from the US have to pay import taxes when buying from outside the country, I could ask a friend to send from the US but I really dont want to bother him.

Does anyone have any info on this set? Also what would you charge for it? Hot or not?!

What are some strategies that you use to keep your shipping costs down? I keep as many of the boxes used to send items as I can, but sometimes, that is impossible. Also, sometimes boxes are far too big for the item that was sent. Where do you get cheap boxes that will work for your shipping needs?

I have a 10% off LEGO store coupon from the new catalog that I'm not gonna use. Its good until 4/15 first person to respond gets it. I will mail it to you for free. No catch I am just not gonna use it, I was gonna use it to get a SSD but my Lego stores don't carry them anymore and the coupon needs has to be used in store.

I just wanted to say thanks to the people on Brickpicker who have been offering great deals on sets for other Brickpicker members. I think these transactions will only strengthen Brickpicker in the future. Thanks again.

I love this site and they just so happened to have minecraft legos in stock and you could buy up to 4 of them. I have been dying to get this set and i will finally have it. The only thing about Jinx is that it takes forever for shipping. I doubt they have anymore in stock but check it out in case.

I hate when retail stores do this? Is there really an issue with people walking out with these big sets w/o paying for them. By now I am sure everyone knows that I want/need my boxes in pristine condition, and when they do this, it totally messes up the box. I have asked for discounts before (very very politely) because of the damage done by these security tags and more than one retailer has said no way!! Anyone else bothered by this?? I have even seen these on the SSD and DS at Lego stores.

I rarely ask for advice on buying Lego, but today I got $75 worth of rewards Coupons from Toys R Us, And they are 3-$15, and 3-$10 ones. They say Valid in store or online through 5/31/13 and I can use them all at one time, or split them up. Now some may say how did I get so much, well I spent a few grand a while back, when I got 20 Friends 3185, etc. Now I could get 2 of the 8110 buy one get one half price and use the $75 coupon, so get both for $260.00, or 4 Vampires Castle for $76.00 each, Or 4 Helm's Deep for $92 each any other suggestions. I just wanted to let everyone know that I received my first packages that I purchased from amazon.co.uk. Out of 4 sets in 2 different boxes only 1 had a minor dent. In any case I was happy (and relieved) to find that these arrived in good condition. They actually arrived in better condition than most sets that I buy from amazon.com. I will definitely be comfortable with buying from amazon.co.uk in the future.

Ok gang, I need a little input here. I recently opened a store on bricklink and received an offer this morning from a buyer. They want to purchase 10 of my 6864 batmobile and two face chase sets as a bulk order. They offered to pay with a personal check, and are wiling to wait for it to clear before I ship. Total of the check will be $700 plus exact shipping. They offered to do the deal outside of bricklink and paypal to save me some fees. My question is this...once I receive and deposit the check, and once it clears the banks, I am safe to ship the goods, right? Is there any way the buyer can scam me once the check clears? With the recent talk on the forums about some…

Hello Group, My local Kmart weekly ad says that there is a 20% discount on all Ironman toys. I did not see any exclusions on the flyer so it might not be consistent at all stores and may decide on the managers discretion. While this isn't the best deal in town if you have an Ironman itch to scratch this is an adequate sale. Happy hunting.

We all know how sets tend to spike in value really quickly right after EOL, especially if it goes out of stock at all the retailers at once. It is not uncommon to see sets double in value over this time, this is when many sellers take it upon themselves to go ahead and sell the set. I will use my winter village bakery as an example... Purchase Price - $47 Sale Price - $95 - it is was going for this amount 2 weeks after I made my purchase Ebay/paypal fees - $14 Shipping - $12 Final Profit - $22 This actually did pretty well on its own, I haven't actually sold mine yet since I am hoping it will go for much more later, here is the interesting thing though, even …
