Selling large Lego collection, located at Morningside Heights near Columbia University. Many old sets (some sealed), but mostly sealed large and small sets retired within the last 5 years. Many rare promotional sets as well. ~90% of the collection is brand new sealed. Please see the attached file for a complete list of sets. Entire collection valued at ~$27k at MSRP and ~$38k at current market value. Want to clear space so intended for buyers who are willing to purchase a large portion of the collection (especially the large sets), and I will sell even with good discounts off MSRP. Also willing to sell at 30%+ discount off MSRP for buyers taking large amounts of smal…

I don't see a thread on Exclusive sets and Polybags. I am rather new to Lego collecting. I think Exclusives, being sold in one store only...may be better to collect as they would be harder to find for some people. but, I do not really know what sets are exclusives, or which store has them. I'd like you knowledgeable people to list the set #s and stores available. Thanks for the help.

Hello All, I received the following email from Paypal: We're asking for your tax ID number due to new IRS rules. But I made several small transactions. I got 200 payments. Selling a…

Hello all! Like many others before me, I've decided to use bricklink to sell off my spare Lego to help fund my hobby. I've opened up a shop, had my first few orders and ran into a problem. See, I hate all the different fees and shipping costs on BL, so I decided to take another approach. No fees, no shipping costs... Something I'm able to do because I mainly want to sell minifigures with maybe the additional set thrown in. The problem I have is this, if I offer this service and people order a 1 euro minifig ans want to have it shipped to the other side of the world, obviously I'd be losing money. I really don't mind losing out on a bit of money to be able to s…

Hello, I'm in possession of lego system sets from 1950/60s and would like to know if anyone have any information about these sets(valuation, rarity, intersted lego enthusiasts etc.) that would be great, because I'm looking for the best market to sell them. Also they are in great shape, see it yourself.

Hello I was wondering how many out there actually treat their reselling as a legitimate business. The reason I ask is this: Since I am purchasing LEGOs to resell (at some point!) and I charge sales tax on my purchases, shouldn't I be allowed to use my reseller's license to avoid paying the sales tax myself? Anyone ever tried this with LEGO directly?

So I purchased a bulk lot yesterday for a school holiday activity I'm running - mainly for the random mix of bricks and bits which can be hard to replicate piece by piece. The photos of the listing were terrible but I took a punt. Happy with the contents at initial glance - a stack of knights kingdom stuff (including 2 castles) and spotted a few indications of spiderman which turned out to be doc ocks hideout. Probably worth four times what I paid on those bits alone ! Further digging last night revealed fire and police stations, a very cool rescue helicopter plus more smallish city sets, exo force and a tiny bit of star wars just in the bulk lot. Pretty happy with that, …

  10. Just wondering if there's anyone around Fort Wayne,(Indiana)who I can purchase some shipping boxes off of. I'm not the power seller that would need 50 of one type, but 3-4 of a few types would really help me out.

  12. I´m selling in European region since 2014. 2015 and early 2016 were my "golden years" and i made some bucks selling sets and parts as well. I keep track of all my sales (and purchases) in detail with adjustable statistics. And it appears to me that something has happend in July 2016. My sellings reduced to an all-time-minimum (maybe to 1/4 or less) of which i was selling the year before almost instantly! First i thought this is the regular summer low but it never recovered. My sellings at Christmas season 2016 were terrible and also January, which was always my best month, was very low in sets and parts i sold. My number of sets i listed for sale didn´…

Does anyone have any order being shipped by UPS? I have one package from TRU and another from a seller on craigslist that show no tracking information. Is anyone experiencing the same problem? For obvious reasons this makes me nervous. The seller from craisgslist actually sent me a picture of the packaging slip (this time I paid with paypal) and I have no idea what is wrong with the TRU package other than it is getting sent via UPS Mail Innovations.

Hey, I got a pretty ridiculous deal the other day. It occured to me it was a scam but the seller had 145 positive feedbacks. Can you fake that easily? Is it something I should look out for? Oh also if you get a tracking number is it definite you will receive the item or no. I know these might be stupid questions so sorry.

  15. I’m new here. I have a THE Lego fish sculpture that was displayed for years at Disney Marketplace in Orlando Florida. I bought it at a garage sale about 9 or 10 years ago because it was too cool to pass up. It needs to find a new home. Does anyone know how much it might be worth and where I can advertise it? I’d like for it to find a home with someone who will truly appreciate its uniqueness. It is about 4 feet long and weighs around 150 pounds so shipping might be an issue. I think it would be a shame to post it on local Craigslist, but unless I can find a better venue that’s where it will end up.

Hello. On Best Buy I see that they advertise that members of the “My Best Buy Plus” program save 10% on all LEGO sets. Is this an additional 10% on top of any other discounts and sale prices? Are there any catches to the program? How are they with limits? I currently have a business account so I’ve been able to get up to 25 sets sometimes. Not sure if my business account can sign up for this program or not. Any feedback on those topics would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I would like to prepare some sets for shipping, and it turns out that the USPS game board box would be quite good, but of course sending it via priority flat would also be too expensive. So my question is now: where would you go for the following: - box size: ideal: 22x12x3, also ok (more common): 24x12x4 - low quantity: I really only need 6, not the 25 that most online stores have as minimum quantity. I don't have the space to store 19 boxes I really don't need. The local office stores I went to don't seem to have this size available. Thanks in advance - and please no suggestions of covering up the USPS box and sending it regular priority. That is a…

Good morning! My son is wanting to get rid of his lego collection! We have over 110 pounds of lego pieces from the last 15 years. He was in to Star Wars and Indiana Jones sets for a while as well as Technics, bionicles, and lego racers. We have a bunch of the little men (minifigs) I don't know where to begin. I want to get a fair price but not even sure what that is these days. Can someone give me advice of where to start etc.....? Thanks in advance! Karen

  20. How much will you be charged in fees? You'll find out after the sale is made. Your buyer chooses the "pay later" option... you get the convenience fee. Convenient!

A few sets I picked up recently at Walmart have a round golden sticker, on the front of the box near the set number. The sticker says "Oppenheim toy portfolio best toy award gold seal". I don't know if this sticker was put on by Lego or someone else. It looks okay, it doesn't cover anything important, but I am not sure it belongs there. Are these stickers undesirable from a collector or investor standpoint? Should I try to remove them if I can do so without damaging the boxes?

I was in B&****** tonight and there were some sheets of paper temporary taped to the Lego displays. They are obviously for the workers to set up the displays and know where the sets go. I took some photos. Not sure if there is anything we can learn from this but I figured post them in case. Sorry for the quality of the photos. I was getting looks from the employees so I was trying to make it fast.

I've been thinking about this as I have a 6, 4 and 2 year old. After seeing kingfishe2's post on Customer Mapping (which was a great idea, btw), I thought I would start a topic on how you involve your kids. Good tasks for young kids - sorting by color (my 4-year old is crazy good at this and likes it), using the visual dictionaries to put mini figures together correctly (my 6-year old has mini figures memorized like an encyclopedia), sorting built pieces by manuals (my 6-year old can take manuals and place them out and find partially built pieces to match the set), building to completion (my 6-year old is extremely accurate, so I will often watch him as I build …
