Apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere - I did try search function, strangely nothing came up for "netbricks" (I haven't tried "Pley" yet. So those are services that rents out LEGO sets. I have dozens of Friends theme sets (used). All pieces are put back into ziplocks, and they then are put back into box among with instruction booklets (which I see is mentioned as a requirement on Netbricks). And the Netbricks FAQ also says I can ship my sets to them for free? I think this might be the way to go for me - anyone have good/bad experiences doing this? The reason why I'm considering this is I find putting sets up on auctions (taking photos, creating …

Hello All, I received the following email from Paypal: We're asking for your tax ID number due to new IRS rules. Your tax IDnumber is one of these:- Your Social Security number- Your Individual Tax Identification Number- Your Employer Identification NumberWe'll use your tax ID number to send tax Form 1099-K to you and the IRSwhen the payments you receive exceed both of these milestones in a calendaryear:- $20,000 in gross payment volume for goods or services- 200 payments for goods or services I am for sure not doing 20,000$ selling legos. But I made several small transactions. I got 200 payments. Selling a…

Just got a letter from Tesco regarding their double boost they do with club card vouchers. As we know Tesco have been hit hard with all the other lower priced supermarkets, so I imagine thats the reason for this. Come this May and June 2016 - It will be the last time Tesco double the value of your vouchers. So £5 becomes £10 etc. Useful of course if you buy LEGO from there. So get those purchases in between the 16th May and 26th June

First time posting on here after picking up a few star wars sets and of course the tumbler. Maybe this has been asked countless times already. But just wondering how long you hold a set for or what triggers you to sell or what ever the lingo is. flip is it?

My son has sadly outgrown his Lego collection. We have listed it on eBay but it's not having much interest. I'm having people offer me silly amounts like £200 but knowing how much I paid for it I cannot let it go for such a low price. Any idea how much I could get for it? I will put the eBay listing number in the comments if anyone could help me.

Browsed a few pages of the Buy&Sell forum and couldn't find an appropriate thread to post this in.... if a Mod sees a fitting place please feel free to move the post. Last weekend I picked up a bulk SW lot on CL. Spent the last week running the sets through Bricklink Inventory lists and verifying any missing parts. They're all older SW sets. Included are some of the original micro fighters, called Mini back then. From the sets of instructions, I've got parts of two series, but neither series is complete. [4484, 4485, 4487] is a 3/4 complete series, and I've got [4490, 4491] which is 1/2 of a complete series. Blah blah blah... what the heck am I waffling o…

A small padded envelope I sent to another trader is showing "Undeliverable as Addressed". Anyone seen this before. Before the tracking showed this it was "Out for Delivery" to the correct location. Does this mean the mailmen just decided not to deliver the package?

Just looking for some advice on how to proceed. I have ~100 or so Lego sets, mostly from the 1990's, some more recent, that I'm looking to sell. They're used but all have the original instructions (almost all of which are in pristine condition)and all have their original boxes (though some are a little smushed/bent here and there from being stored in a big box for the last 15 years). The sets are either 100% complete or at most missing a few non-essential pieces (e.g. minifigs, specialty pieces, etc. are all there). I've stored them in chunks in their original boxes and I'm in the process of going through each set and noting what pieces, if any, are missing. How doe…

I was at the lego store today and they had several sets marked with discounts due to the boxes being damaged. Are these even worth buying for reselling at a later date? The sets I remembered seeing are: 76052 10236 10214 75095 10234 10232

I've been thinking about this as I have a 6, 4 and 2 year old. After seeing kingfishe2's post on Customer Mapping (which was a great idea, btw), I thought I would start a topic on how you involve your kids. Good tasks for young kids - sorting by color (my 4-year old is crazy good at this and likes it), using the visual dictionaries to put mini figures together correctly (my 6-year old has mini figures memorized like an encyclopedia), sorting built pieces by manuals (my 6-year old can take manuals and place them out and find partially built pieces to match the set), building to completion (my 6-year old is extremely accurate, so I will often watch him as I build …

so, I've been selling on Amazon for around 15 months now, basically since eBay has been on a major decline. I've always been interested in selling on Amazon via FBA, but including another party in my picking/packing was always a worry on my mind, anyway, I decided what the hell I'll take the plunge, worse case scenario is it's a total disaster and ends up being a tax write off anyway. So looking at my inventory I had 27 Grand Emporiums, so I figured I bought in at around £110 each current selling price on Amazon was around £320 so after all said and done I'd be making a tidy profit on each one. I research Amazon FBA and it turns out if the item is selling at £300…

I hope this is the right place to ask this. My son is in college and wants to sell his Lego collection. As he is out of town and I am currently unemployed, I offered to help. Now I need to figure out the best way to get the most $$ from them. They are mostly loose in large boxes, with some partial builds. I have found instructions for 127 sets, so potentially there could be somewhere near that many complete sets in those boxes. The majority is Bionicle, but there is Star Wars, Space, Mars and others in there too. I have spent days searching the internet for the info, but still can't really get a feel for if it is better to sort and sell complete sets, sort and sell…

Has anybody checked out an app called Letgo? I've seen it advertised on TV, so I decided to download it. It basically functions as a visual Craigslist, with no buyer or seller fees. I may pick up a 50+ pound bulk lot that was listed on there with a bunch of 2007-2009 Star Wars instruction manuals shown for $350. I'm probably going to list a set or two on there as well; I'll let everyone know how it goes.

Just wondering if anyone else is having problems with USPS lately? I have already have one package go missing and of course usps can't do anything about it and now I have another package that hasn't moved in 3 days. The latter package is suppose to go to NC but it is still stuck in Detroit. Starting to get concerned.

Hey Guys. Can't find an existing topic on this but I think this is a good question (especially for me) and given the number of new investors coming in definitely something they need to think about. Having paper profits from sets stashed in your cupboard does not necessarily mean your going to end up with real profits once you've sold out. I mean buying is the fun part and so should be selling. R5, Tumbler, DS... great! Your profits on paper look excellent, but how do you actually go about shipping these??? SC (sand crawler) I LOVE it as a set and think it will do great post retirement (plenty of reasons but that's for a diff thread). Just using this one as a…

Hello friends, I absolutely love Legos, more so to build them myself and show around the home. I'm sure the entire world knows about Legos and in recent weeks it's been given a lot of publicity as it relates to investing. This additional publicity got me more interested in making a little bit of profit to help pay for the Legos I build and keep. I put in a little research and found a few sets to buy and sell down the road and I would love to know how folks go about selling their Legos. Ebay, amazon, other sites? What have you found to be the best way to do this? Again, I dont plan on quitting my day to day job so this is strictly a side hobby with an intent to sell 4-6 pi…

Something just happened that prompted me to write this. It's not a negative thing, just a observation. I have recently got into parting out some sets, so I am having a go at 75902 Scooby Doo Mystery Machine RRP £30. I have all the figures, the Zombie Tree & the Van listed separately. Fred Jones is unique so I sold him for a BIN of £11. A few days later I sold the Van for £15. I'm writing the address, it seems familiar. I check my inbox and yes, its the person who bought Fred Jones from me a few days before. So over about a week they've spent £26 only £4 short of the full RRP of the entire set to get about 60% of it…

Anyone else finding their local TRU has been ravaged over Xmas, and there's very little good stuff to spend the £20 gift cards we were given before Xmas on? My local store has probably less than 25% of the sets on the shelves it would usually have at any time of year, and there's a lot of City, Chima, Ninjago, and Scooby Doo sets nobody wants (i.e. not the good ones). Vouchers expire on 16th of Jan, I think. Torn between buying the best of what they have now (not even sure what that would be!), and holding on for a week or so. Don't want to find that after that week, there's even less stock left! Anyone any idea on what the TRU restock pattern m…
