Here is another one of those quirky accessories for the work desk I came across. Basically another pencil holder of course but the (unavailable) product page says "Pencil Pot" which I don't know why but sounds funny. In any case it looks like a small Creator home with a touch of classic Town. I guess the story is her roof caved in and the repair guy is trying to fix it. Cute.

There's a picture out on the Internet of a rumored new LEGO theme - LEGO Sports. Not much is known about the theme, other than it might involve football and/or soccer, and maybe a winter sport or two. If this is true, what sports would you like to see covered by this theme?

I was recently able to buy a bunch of this set, demand may be low but I'll still be able to sell them at a profit. I'm really wondering why it's already retired though. And why was it never brought to Europe? Does this have to do with the production problems they were having? Or was it just that unpopular? Would love to hear your thoughts/theory's about this!

Saw this over on Brickset this morning. Apparently the boxes are empty and are to gauge interest. It's interesting watching Lego these days, especially after buying BrickLink and wanting to better understand what the end-user wants. Their research must be taking them to other aftermarket-type products such as lighting kits. If they can be cost-competitive I see lighting kits making sense. If I can get an equivalent kit for less elsewhere, I'm not sure I would buy the Lego brand store. Hi, Title says it all. A new Lego Store set is coming 40145. How do we think this will affect values of the current 3300003 Brand Store? Will it go down like re-releases of retail sets often do, or does it stay ok or rise sharply as no-one else will be able to get them in future?

Today I was in a mom and pop pharmacy and noticed a 6166 large brick box on the shelf for $29.99. It's retired, and seems to sell for 2x or 3x the retail price already. 400 pcs and one minifig... Question is, this trend seems to happen with other retired brick boxes as well. Anyone understand what the appeal is on these? Is it just people who are doing a random search for Lego, and end up not shopping around? I can't figure out why these brick boxes appreciate so much after EOL when they just roll out new (and better) ones.

Not quite a seasonal set but was not sure where it fits in the range. Heading to legoland with the kids and was tempted to pick up a few. probably going to be around for a while but might have a quick flip potential. Not my usual price range or strategy but have filled up my large storage area so thought I might try a few smaller sets. Anyone else had any experience on this set.
