I'm getting into custom builds now and I'm sick of constantly finding i dont have what i need. Usually because I need symmetry and only have one of a specific brick. I'm wondering how builders optimize their collection so that this happens less often. Like what's a good way to bulk up my brick types so that i can get through a build without constant roadblocks? Or if you were to start all over, what would you buy to have a versatile collection of bricks that allow you to build whatever comes to mind? And secondly, obviously you can't have it all, there's always going to be a specific thing in a certain color that you dont have. So what are the things not to focus on when…

Content of numbered sachets? At the back of building manuals there are content pages of the bricks used in the build. Is there such a place in the Lego site that details the contents of the various numbers sachets with sets? Also I notice that some parts are accompanied by a number in a bubble. Can someone tell me the reason please? I'm new, so please excuse such a basic question. Ross

I just got an order for a set that just sold for over $800. Buyer will pay shipping and signature. Is it worth buying insurance for this set? If so, where do you guys get your insurance from? There was a site I once used but I can't recall the name of it. Plus, not sure if it's worth it with UPS insurance.

I was going through my sets “to build later” and came across some that are duplicates and some that are worth enough that I am willing to sell them. I usually sell on EBay but, for some reason, I have this uneasy feeling about it with sets of this value. I am talking sets that could have values around $1500 or so. Is it safe to sell these on EBay? Are instances of fraud higher on sets like this? Is Facebook Marketplace a better avenue?

I recently realized that a lego minecraft steve head I have had for a while was a misprint (its eyes were not centered with the face) and was wondering if it was worth anything

Hi Guys, ok, so me and my sister (we're over 40 yo) can't find the number of a Lego set from our childhood. We've searched (in our opinion) everywhere on the internet, on every popular lego site where 'most of the sets' are described. It was a Lego set house with car and 1 minifigure. Minifigure had black top and blue trousers. House had door and blue shutters like this: Door and shutters There was also flowers (different colors) like here: flowers and 1 spruce tree: spruce tree Please help. It took us hours trying to find it. Have a good day, Lego Fans!

I saw where the program is ending on December 8th. My local Bricks and Minifig store sent in 400lbs of brick and got paid in just a few days. Has anyone here sent in anything. I was thinking about sending in brick seperators , mini-dolls , Chima speeder wheels , assorted wheels and tires and other weird pieces that are heavy , bulky , wont use in a MOC or wont sell on Bricklink. What do you guys think?

Hi, I've never purchased a retired set before but would really like to get a UCS Slave I. I've found one on Bricklink in my country but it has "loose seals". The seller has supplied a video which with my little experience looked fine to me but I don't want to chance it since the seals do look very weird! (https://youtu.be/3YdW_g1aedo) https://store.bricklink.com/bricknationtoys?itemID=315127405#/shop?o={"invID":"315127405"} Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated, never used Bricklink before but am familiar with it. Thanks in advance!

  12. Hello there, I am new to the world of LEGO investing and have been doing some research on various strategies to build a profitable portfolio. I have noticed that a lot of experienced collectors and investors on this forum seem to have a deep understanding of the market, especially when it comes to retired sets. I am interested in starting my investment journey by focusing primarily on retired LEGO sets. I believe these sets tend to appreciate faster and more consistently compared to currently available ones; but I would love to hear your thoughts on this. What would you recommend as a reasonable budget to start with if I am focusing solely on retired sets? …

Hi. Anyone have a source for collectible minifig inserts and or foil bags? Any series. If you've been hoarding them for some reason, I'll pay for them. Not much mind you. But happy to pay a reasonable price.

Anybody have info on how to apply to sell legos in a store? My wife has a brick and mortar and wanted to start carrying collectible minifigs. She's wondering how to order wholesale cases of them.

  15. I have a crazy idea, to have LEGO make a Goosebumps lineup, based on the books by R.L. Stine, and hope to see this series come to life?

I was in Costco yesterday and they had 1 Marvel Advent calendar, 1 lol. I was shocked they didn't have any other themes, let alone just 1 single box on the shelf this early. Did I miss out and they blew through all their inventory? Last year I got several HP and star wars on clearance they had so many...

Hi new here - just joined today I have, what I consider to be, a large collection of Lego. It is all currently separated by brick type and few other bits of sorting. I have many instruction books but no original boxes. The big ticket items are the city airport with two planes and runways. I estimate approximately 30 models in total. My question is it better to build each model and try to sell them separately, join a few similar models together and try to sell as a package, or sell the whole lot as a job lot (loose)? I’d welcome your views Thanks

Hi just joined today- looks like a great site with lots of information I have a lot of white and grey pieces that have faded with sunlight. I’ve read that using hydrogen peroxide can restore the colours. Has anyone done this? Are there any decent “how to” videos that anyone has used? thanks

  19. I have a set that has 5 bags - 4 bags were not opened, but the 5th bag was missing and I pieced it together from my used/good condition bricks. question is - do I sell as is as used with pictures of all the bags/instructions? or should I build it and sell it as used/built? the set is star wars troop transport 75140. Bag 1 is the used parts, but missing 2 minifugures. thanks for the comments

  20. I'm new to LEGO and have to admit to being overwhelmed at the number of Star Wars sets now 20% off this week (and, by overwhelmed, I mean both me and my wallet). I've already bought a few of the smaller sets, but I don't have the history to know whether now is really the time to pick up some of the premium sets or if I should be waiting for bigger deals, such as the 25% or even 30% off deals that I see being posted in some of the non-Star Wars areas. I'd appreciate the perspective of members who've been around for a few years!

  21. Hi all, I picked up a 10143 Death Star II open box but with the 4 inner boxes sealed, inside the open box was the following: 4 Inner Boxes, Instruction Book A cardboard divider that looks like it is supposed to hold the instruction book. I have received conficting information as to where the sticker sheet is supposed to be. Some have said it is inside the outer box but outside the inner boxes. Others have said it is inside the inner boxes. Also does anyone know where good info on a bag count for this set would be? Information is rather lacking on a set of this age. Thanks!

Here is an oddity: I have an Ebay sale of a $600 Lego item on 3/26/23 . 3/27/23 I use UPS label to send the parcel to Glendale Heights, Illinois, without being specific it's an industrial park with a real name and "care of" business address. 3/28/23 customer messages saying he got a refund and the parcel couldn't be sent internationally. I also get a refund message from Ebay saying there was a problem and both buyer and seller were refunded. I check the UPS tracking number. It was delivered, only problem is, that's not the buyer's address. During messaging buyer tells me he is Canadian with a Canadian address. Ebay gave for the shipping label an address dom…

I sold a sealed 75103 First Order Transporter and buyer that claims that it's missing Captain Plasma's helmet and one of the Flametrooper helmets. I bought that set and several other duplicates from the retail shelf of Walmart or Target. They looked pretty minty with no signs of pilfering. Buyer doesn't complain of open set bags or loose pieces or broken set seals. Anyone have a similar missing parts issue with this kit or kits made in the era of 2015-16? On a personal note, any time I've been "missing pieces" it's because I built the model wrong but it's hard to build a helmet wrong. lol
