Don't know why but "The noblest of herds" has a nice ring to it. Also, Knights of the Magenta realm. Man, now that is really old school. I still somehow have a couple of the originals with the sticker hanging onto those old shields just barely. If I rebuilt the classic yellow castle, they would be perfect. If only I had more bright light yellow pieces for a bit more authentic aesthetic. Maybe some tan or nougat mixed in for contrast.

The saga continues... guess this is an outlet or therapy for me to share it here because my family doesn't care to listen about it and putting it on the internet makes me feel like someone is out there sympathizing with me 🤣. Local USPS postmaster closed my service request with a very lengthy cut/paste generic response. It was all over the place from can't locate address, do our best to deliver, incorrect mailing label, lost, blah, blah, blah. Statements like we try not to have to return items or dispose of them, but no indication on if either was happening. It left me wondering what the outcome even is (returning, lost, disposed of, damaged, etc?) and really felt like a quit bothering me, I'm busy type of response. I called USPS 800 # who says yeah you got a generic response. This package went out for delivery, was not delivered and brought back to the local post office. Can't tell why it didn't go out next day for delivery. To me it sure sounds like this package went home with someone from work ($200 value). Service Rep advised to re-open service request, but she would escalate it above the local branch. She also said that if the customer can go to the local post office (which appears to be 6 miles away) that may help resolve the issue. I had suggested this last night to customer, but it's been radio silence again. It's just all really strange that I've shipped over 200 sets by USPS in the past two months without experiencing anything like this. The one time my gut gives me that feeling when I received the order that this doesn't feel right because of the whole expedited shipping request, but ghosting my messages this happens? Hard to believe it's just one big coincidence that the post office potentially can't locate the address, no clue where my package is, buyer is asking me to send to another address, etc. I'll obviously wait until the escalated ticket gets a response, but I'm not holding my breath for resolution with them. What's next? Do I submit for reimbursement for a lost package through USPS? How does that even work when my package is stuck in an Awaiting Delivery status? It doesn't seem missing, but rather either floating within the post office due to a false address, incompetent postal worker or something else. I'm selling so much because I'm pretty much done with collecting Lego. At my high point I was buying almost everything because I loved it all. Life is busy and I'm running out of display space. Now I have to be VERY selective if I buy anything. Once it's all gone I'm done. Selling all this has been way too much work/time/stress for any appreciation some of my collection has gained.

I'm no lawyer but I believe this sticker gives you legal authority to take the ol' van over to Walmart and sell in their parking lot.

Out of the blue, the buyer started sending multiple messages to me just after midnight. Sending messages like I haven't received my package yet, what do I do?, can you send it to a different address. Send it to another address request seems suspicious. Whole situation seems fishy to me so far especially because a simple google search shows "buyer/ship to name" lives on other side of the country from where this is being shipped (but maybe they moved recently?). Not much I can do at this point. I had placed a USPS service request earlier this week which the local USPS responded to saying they will do some investigation and get back to me. Still waiting for them to get back with me.

More hypotheticals: They knew they were going on vacation, asked for expedited shipping in the hopes it would arrive before they left. It didn't arrive in time, they are now gone on vacation and not checking their mail. You will hear from them again once they return, and the package will show as delivered. With a little luck they will file a return request because "it didn't arrive on time", or they just chalk it up to "too bad, we tried".

Yeah good question. I'm not sure. It's odd they requested expedited shipping in the notes of placing their order, but then have totally ghosted me. I opened a service request with USPS on Monday, received an email from the post office for the city it is being delivered to saying they are investigating and will let me know what they find. It's still sitting in the same Awaiting Delivery status. Just haven't encountered this one before.

Is it possible your customer has a Vacation Hold on their address? I do this when I travel. Packages delivered by USPS get a similar status on my end until the mail gets delivered once I return.
