  2. Target Gift Cards 10% off. Ends tomorrow
  3. Mini Knight's Castle has replaced the stupid bricks with $250 buy in as worst promo ever. Return on dollar wise it is worse than Chima Fire Bike as well!
  4. Today
  5. Normally I totally agree with this. Just heard horror stories of buyers filing claims of false/immitation products and Amazon putting holds on funds and shutting accounts down for investigations.
  6. Just picked up four at Costco, also saw these.
  7. I saw this and thought "oh my, is Amazon going to do something about those pesky returns ???". Spoiler alert: I needed coffee before reading anything in the morning. This has nothing to do with returns, just another way for Amazon to fleece money from sellers. I went to the report page and "shockingly" their recommendations for all ASINs are to buy more ads to increase sales
  8. This and only this. My time is too valuable to argue with anyone on the internet
  9. I bought bulk LEGO 9 years ago thinking of doing some part outs for my Bricklink store. The boxes are still in my basement as I have not had time to break the sets, clean, and do the inventory. I can't justify the time needed vs ROI when I have sealed sets to ship out + day job. Also race to the bottom is the name of the game these days for most toy categories anyway
  10. The advice above about not opening a store is definitely sound, but I'll play a bit of the devil's advocate and just say that I think its a matter of what your goals are. I put most of my parts into storage for now because the time to pull orders was starting to cut into family time and causing stress. Maybe one day I'll bring them back out, but for now, its not worth it. That said, I still have a small inventory that I enjoy adding to and selling. I was booted from Amazon last fall during the "purge" and sold most of my sealed set inventory to some nice members on this forum, so I really enjoy having BL to still be a part of the LEGO market. Perhaps most importantly, the profit I made from my store this past year was enough to cover my personal LEGO purchases over the year, which was the goal from the beginning when I stumbled down this rabbit hole. I'd suggest that if you are really interested, you start small, part out a few sets sets, figure out what organization works for you, keep your prices low to make some sales and attract buyers, and see if you enjoy it or not. Of those two sets, I didn't look at the overall part out values, but the dinosaurs in 75940 aren't highly desirable but at least give you a floor for your value. 43181 has terrible mini figures so maybe not a great one to start with - like 10 sales total across both in the past 6 months. Short version: if you want to have a small hobby to enjoy, go for it. If you want to grow wealth, take @raindog's advice and just invest.
  11. Costco has 40743 @ 9.97. For your part out guys it's 5.5x 😉 It isn't centerpiece set 10314 😡
  12. Never tell a buy to go to a specific site off Amazon , the bots might see that as a way to divert traffic off Amazon . you made your point . You can tell them to Kindly return the item if they are not satisfied
  13. With that statement, I'd probably just take any spare change and invest in dividend EFTs like VOO or QQQM and read a book or work on my physical fitness while my accounts grow bigger and bigger. If I was given the option to go back 15 years ago and practice that I would do it without hesitation. I enjoy selling LEGO but it is also a colossal time killer and money sponge.
  14. What I use are no longer made. Many sellers use this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000LDH3JC However, since I deal in larger lot sizes, I use these a lot now: 6 Quart storage boxes https://www.amazon.com/Sterilite-16428012-Quart-Liter-Storage/dp/B002BDTETW I also use racks with wheels to move these around. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ktaxon-5-Tier-Wire-Shelving-Unit-Steel-Storage-Rack-for-Garage-Office-Kitchen-Silver-30-W-x-14-D-x-60-H/758640951 Please not that the rack above is a bit small to use for storing sealed sets. I use much larger racks for storing them. However, I am seriously considering moving to this type of system for all but the largest sets:
  15. Having an issue with a buyer on Amazon right now. He is accusing me of selling some shady Lego (Batman Cowl) because "they have been buying Lego sets for years and have never had one sealed with tape before". I've read of buyers causing big problems for sellers on here before so I'm being thorough in my responses. I initially told him he could walk in an Lego store and see sets sealed with tape. He just responded with pics of sets (without tape) he purchased while at a recent trip to New York and demanded to know where the set came from. I sent him several pics of taped sets, told him he could call a Lego store to confirm they are sealed with tape. The set he purchased is obviously out of production but I told him he could go on Ebay and see actual pics of box -- with tape. Told him googling the subject will bring up plenty of info on the topic as well.
  16. I think if you have to ask, parting-out is not for you. It's not a money making venture (because of time and space involved) and you will always be building "dead" inventory. Good advice proceeded this. It's for those who "really, really, really" enjoy it. Financially speaking, you will come out further ahead with a second job or just putting time into advancing your career. Unless Amazon continues to remove listings, you will never be stuck moving whole sets (although who knows what will happen next). Take any thoughts of making money out of the equation and ask yourself if you would rather play video games, play pickleball, play with your kids/friends, spend time with your wife/girlfriend, or ACTUALLY BUILD LEGO SETS!! If you would rather part out sets and organize then, well, go for it!
  17. Any suggestions for the plastic drawers?

  20. That’s what I should of done, I have two stores that I’m sandwiched between less than 7 miles from me.
  21. I’m at about 70% successful, better with ship to store, almost always in boxes.
  22. Been pretty impressed with Macy's. Only order in 12's and they come perfectly packed every time. I was pleasantly surprised.
  23. You win some you lose some with Macys, also then you lose some
  24. This is why I hate Macy’s!!!! I wish they wouldn’t ship in these bags.
  25. Update: looks like the hand off to UPS occurred an hour or so ago, UPS finally shows in possession with a specific delivery date!
  26. I have tracking updates for my orders. Already received some, more will be here today.
  27. I saw this freebie from @Pseudoty and thank you. However, I don't want to play a game that quickly buying current hyped/excellent part out value sets and then race-to-the bottom. If this is the only game to survive running BL then probably i will not want to do it. I do not mind to have this kind of game once in a while (it's part of the fun and making money while it lasts). I'm looking something more sustainable, slow and steady for long run. Like selling sets, I do not like to flip, most of the time I wait 2-3 years before selling. Besides selling sets part-time, I have full time office job but fully remote. With this remote job I often feel bored, and want to add BL for fun and make a little bit of money long run. I have some sets that I bought years ago and kind of stalled, for example 75940, 43181 (I bought them with 40% discount of msrp). Would I be able to part out these kind of sets, and off course keep adding good part out value sets, and finally make some sales once I have enough inventories?
  28. Similar situation here with Macy’s. I ordered 6 sets around 8:30am Sunday. One set was delivered Tuesday, a second delivered yesterday. The other 4 show a UPS shipping label was generated Monday at 7:36pm, and the UPS tracking shows still awaiting the package. I’m growing convinced this is a case of something in the process “broke” and the warehouse/store will never complete processing (hand off to UPS). What’s even more annoying is 2 of the 4 items are still showing as in stock on Macy’s.com. I plan to reach out to customer service later today but doubt it will lead to anything positive.
