  2. We ignore all those, all the euro listings have super high list price, to keep the buy box, but that don't work on the listings Amazon made
  3. Wow, even at the low end of $380 that's still an insanely high price versus DA. This will have to hit the sale bin at some point. $250 and I'm in.
  4. I saw this IRL last weekend at BrickFair VA. Unfortunately they didn't get it put together in time for the World of Lights event on Friday evening, but it looked impressive in daylight as well during the public days on Sat and Sun.
  5. Last time they wanted Country of Origin. I ignored until the 50th follow up. Then I actually updated. This time its a little different because its a case log with ACTION REQUIRED. I told them I'll look into it. Hopefully they dont follow up. Although I suppose were allowed to make up any list price really. Just dont wanna open door to them asking for backup for my list price.
  6. Yup, I ignore anything that isn’t mandatory and even then I drag it out . Screw them
  7. anyone get these? Safe to Ignore?
  8. Here is a small channel called Mystic Brick centered around medieval fantasy custom builds including Dungeons & Dungeons campaign flavored scenes. Also, some botanicals.
  9. Not adding up 2,300 less pieces than Diagon for around the same price. Hogsmeade is one less baseplate in width so around 10” and Look at the difference in the depth of the build. 75978 Diagon Alley 5544 pieces 14 Minifigs $400/$450 after price increase 76457 Hogsmeade Village 3228 pieces 12 Minifigs $430
  10. Welcome to the site, Adela.
  11. Hi everyone! I’m new to the forum but have been a long-time LEGO fan — finally decided to stop lurking and say hi 😊 I started with City sets as a kid, but lately I’ve been really into Technic builds. Just finished the Lamborghini Sian and honestly, I think I stared at the gearbox for an hour after it worked properly My cat tried to steal a wheel mid-build, so that was fun. Aside from LEGO, I’m also getting ready for my school’s homecoming — it’s coming up soon and I’ve been stressing about what to wear. Anyway, excited to be part of this community! Would love to see other people’s builds — especially if you’ve managed to build anything without your cat jumping into the pieces.
  12. Gold returns about 8% a year. I definotely had many, but definitely not all lego sets do a lot better than that.

  17. That's actually a really well done review page. Didn't know people were using instagram to make reviews like that. I think people that are harping about prices are forgetting that lego spent billions of dollars on factories around the world and have to recoup their investment. Also, we have tariffs and inflation in play. Also, as brickpickers, we should be a little honest with ourselves too. If you had purchase a bunch of 75151 Clone Turbo Tanks when that set came out in 2016, you could have resold them for close to 600.00 a few months ago. Even if you bought those at retail back in the day at 109.99, you still are making over 450.00 profit on that set. Lego obviously sees how these sets increase in value like that, and guarantee that has played a role in the price spikes. That's why we are seeing a 1000.00 Death Star this month. The Original Death Star was sold for 399.99 and now sells for about 900 in the box, while the updated version from 2017 can sell for over 1500.00. Lego is obviously trying to capture some of that after market value that they know will happen once the sets retire. Even at 170 retail (which I know wont be what I pay for it since I can wait for the price drops in the coming months), this set will still increase in value beyond it's RRP once it retires. If people do buy it and take care of it, they'll have an asset better than most stocks.
