Makes no difference.When buying a shipping label you can set any weight you want and it appears on the label.Shippers only care if the weight is greater that what is paid for.Returning the item all Ebay sees is what is posted on the shipping label even if only really weights a few ounces.Another way to fraud the system.Ebay will see that that is the weight of the item delivered.

You should be able to go into your informed delivery manager and see the ACTUAL weight of the item returned 8 ounces Vs 12 Pounds.

I'm probably in the minority, but none of these really grab me like past series have. Happy to sit this round out and save some cash lol

I asked Ebay to step in before the return as I knew this was a scam and wanted them to be aware of the situation.I had contacted the buyer several times without a reply.Ebay just refund the money aw soon as it showed delivery back to me.I was not able to give them evidence of what was delivered.What was bought and what was delivered are shown in the above post.My last email from Ebay ,there will be a withdrawn from your account for the remains funds.

Technically that page lays out the normal process to follow for returns (ie. no scamming). EBay do not want to get involved too much as they assume buyers and sellers can come to agreements without help. Once eBay is called in, they would assume there is a disagreement or problem so they take control of everything (including the payment in dispute) while they figure out what is going on. I would have waited until the "returned package" arrived, but it has been a while. I was curious if @tasiatunes asked eBay to step in before he received the return or if there was a different reason why he did not see the option to refund.

How does ebay get away with such a thing? If they step in to assist in a problem at any stage you no longer are eligible to recover any losses? That doesn't make any sense. What should you do? Wait until you receive the wrong item/damaged item back and then ask them for assistance?

UPDATE Just received email fromEbay.We are deducting $470 plus held funds from your account to refund scammer.

years ago i spoke to ebay by phone in a similar story and got a reimbursement on my refund. I actually got a intelligent knowledgeable agent that helped me .Good luck

Never had the option.Ebay automatically refunded when it was shown as delivered.Never had the option to review.It was shown delivered.I walked around the house because I could not find a big box.It then dawned on me that the little envelope was the return.Scammed

Well, that's awful. Why did he receive a full refund though? You have to approve that upon proper inspection of the returned item, or at least you do when they select the Item Not as Described return option.

No, but I do believe that the additional 20% off was for Prime members only. RMN gave me 5% CB on the higher Woot price not the discounted Amazon price.
