All that they want to do is refund and will charge me a 15% restock fee if they do not deem that the product is damaged. In short, they control all the cards. I have a couple already in perfect condition so I will probably use one of these to build and might possibly part the other one out in my BL store.

Need some advice about ebay buyers. I'm just beginning to clear out my personal collection of NIB sets that I'll never get around to building/no longer have display space. I've sold a few things over many years of my ebay account and have 100% feedback score. I have all my listings set to buy it now without offers. However, I'm constantly getting ebay messages from potential buyers asking me to take lower than my listing. Most offers coming in are 15%-20% of my listed price. All my listings are at or below price of current sets available and within range of historical sales prices. My fear is that if I don't accept their offer they will buy it anyway because I'm the best price and then leave me negative feedback because I wouldn't negotiate. What do I do with these people? Ignore their messages? Respond and politely decline? Counter with an offer I'm more comfortable with?

Mine was also double-boxed in the shipper. That stinks @raindog. I’ve never tried to get a replacement from Woot.
-
**Sigh** I wasn't near so lucky. Woot sent my two Venators, naked, in a 32 lb weight box. One set was especially beat up but neither look pristine. Has anyone tried using Woot's customer service?

So Ive been getting a bunch of these lately. The dreaded " replacement " Do I lose out on the funds? Is there a way to see the reason and potentially dispute? Its some very high priced items....

Retiring Soon - open speculation
fossilrock replied to Quacs's topic in LEGO Set Retirement / End of Life (EOL)
Lots of sets that are retiring this year are starting to see good discounts at walmart. I pretty much have been buying Star Wars sets i can get at 40% off retail or more. Theres so many good ones this year retiring. -
In the past, yes this has been the case. But be sure to screenshot your order page that shows the double points. I had to reach out to customer service to have them credited last time.

Do we get 2X VIP on the BL pre-orders?

There will be 2x VIP points on all LEGO sets from June 19-23! It has been added to the calendar

Round 8 Not too special. I will gab a copy each of the castle, pirate and train to throw on the pile in the vault. -

A train, a castle, and a pirates-ish set. I'm shocked. I'd like to like the University set, but I agree that it reads as just a bit generic all around. As others have said, happy to keep the cash. Between the T-Rex skeleton, Krusty Burger, Neuschwanstein Castle, Arkham Asylum, Death Star and the Enterprise-D, this is already a more expensive year for me than usual. -

actually in your hands in 2 years... but love the Train...like the balloon...School and castle are nice but will be too expensive IMO -
Makes no difference. When buying a shipping label you can set any weight you want and it appears on the label.Shippers only care if the weight is greater that what is paid for.Returning the item all Ebay sees is what is posted on the shipping label even if only really weights a few ounces.Another way to fraud the system.Ebay will see that that is the weight of the item delivered.

I'll show my age here. I'd imagine that most of you youngsters have never heard of Jungle Jim or Jungle Pam.

I can’t see paying $400 for University of science with all of those generic minifigures and yet another $400 Castle. -

I'm probably in the minority, but none of these really grab me like past series have. Happy to sit this round out and save some cash lol
