Kmart clearance questions

It's a bit more of a reward than just the 30% as you do get the points back on the SYW card.  Plus, I know they have coupons like get 15% additional points back on purchases over 75.00, get 10.00 in points on a 50.00 purchase etc. etc.

My biggest gripe about the K-Mart sales so far is that they clearanced the sets at like .25 less than the MSRP.....so it's actually like 30% off retail.  Only the Colby City showdown had a legit clearance price down to like 34.00.

Will Kmart blowout the rest for 50% after this weekend?

Kmart seems to be haphazard with their clearance markdowns. Sometimes they go from 30% to 50% and sometimes the sale will end with no more additional mark downs for a few weeks. Also, one store may be at 50% off and another will have no discount at all. It's one of those places where you have to go into every Sunday morning to check if things have changed.

  • 2 weeks later...

So I went to Kmart yesterday to check out the pickings for this coming Sunday's further drop in clearance prices (and bury them behind some stuffed animals).

There are signs all over saying clearance 30% off until March 15.  I'm assuming that March 16, the next round of reductions begins going to 50% off.

The three sets that seem worth getting are:

Goblin King battle 79010 - $45.

Pirate Ambush - $45.

Unexpected gathering for $32.

LOTR and Hobbit are outside my focus areas.

I understand that LEGO 50% off is a no brainer most of the time.

Do people think these sets are worth it at this price point?

I would almost think you were trolling with that question :P. All are a resounding, don't think twice yes. The weakest set would be goblin king but at that price you really can't lose.
