Used truth, $35 rewards cert, discount gift cards from eBay and the technic/city 20% off sale to get the following:

Heavy Haul Train for $98

42025 Cargo Plane for $97

42023 Construction Crew for $36

Also bought 4x Iconic Easter Chicken Suit Guy, 1x 30446 Batmobile Poly and got 2x ATV Patrol for free. They had a about 20 or so of the poly and iconic minifigures that I did not buy.

I bought about 10 of the series 15 at regular price. Wanted to claim the sharks. Probably going to Toys R US anyway tomorrow. Will toys r us credit me the difference? Do I have to bring the minifigures into the store?

I think you'd have to do a return. I don't think they do what you're saying. If I'm wrong, someone will say so...

Toys R Us put up on their website the different Easter catalog deals.  At the bottom was a link to a 20% off a regular item coupon.  I know there is the one created on the TRUTH page but for those who have issues using those coupons, this seems a way to get a legit one that they shouldn't be able to argue against.  http://www.toysrus.com/shop/index.jsp?categoryId=22728306

well I just printed it out... I'm skeptical, but will give it a try

Now I am not sceptical anymore - this sounds like a legit coupon that has now become available to everyone. Heck, there's even a mobile version, so showing the one that was posted here earlier should work too.

The TRU coupon should work just fine. They did something similar around this time last year (maybe the year before?).  I had no issues.

Can you check in stock items on the website before I drive over to a toys r us tomorrow?  And are UCS sets included in this deal if they have any in stock?

chat through website with store/UPC number. they have access to local inventory list. then call store to see if they can get their hands on it before you go.

As soon as someone is able to, please confirm that the TRU 20% coupon works on Lego or not.

Also curious if someone could try it on a Technic set. I know it clearly says REGULAR price items only but that would be an epic sale on some big items if it worked.

Also, if anyone has a SLAVE I in your area, please let us know if the 20% works on it. That will be big news either way.

Good luck pickers!

maybe this was already noted but I noticed Slave I is up on their website. Doesn't help with the 20% off coupon but still a good deal if you snagged some of those recent $100 GCs for $85 recently.

Are there ANY TRU coupons codes for online purchases?  I have a 15% that I got in the mail and the 20% one going around online, but both are in-store only.

I have $300 worth of the 20% off Babies R Us gift cards from a couple of weeks ago on eBay, but I would love to stack one more coupon before pulling the Slave trigger.  Really wish my store had these in stock. Thanks.

I like to stack rewards and the gift cards for buying exclusives from toysrus.com.

Went to my TRU this morning and was very underwhelmed. Looking to buy for build, not resale, and the only things the 20% coupon made sense on for me were things I already have (75105, 75102, AROCS). Was hoping somehow they had F40 or T1 (even with their $25 markup on this set this would have been a deal after stacking a discounted GC), but no dice - they even checked in other local stores and said it was online only. Going to wait for some sort of an online deal in the near future (anyone know if TRU occasionally does one, and if so, what it would be like?) - a free Ninjago Flyer does not count as a deal for me :). Meh.

I can see how the GC and the 20% combined can give a good deal on investment purchases though, so I guess I just positioned myself wrongly for this sale. Good luck to the rest of you and please share what you bought in case there's a gem out there that I might want to consider :)

Come back next Thursday and stack the 20% coupon with 10% TRUTH and discounted gift cards (if allowed).  Unfortunately I can only use the coupon once per visit so it's not always worth the trip for me.

Disappointed,TRU had 2 Slave 1's on the shelf but the boxes on both had creases.I'll have to find something else to buy. I refuse to buy a UCS set in anything less than a perfect box, even with a 20% discount
