I saw there was no thread for that gem so I have decided to create it. Hope that`s ok? After one year of production and limited retail in Germany that big boy is finally sold out. What are your thoughts about it? I really appreciate the massive playability of that set.

I found five of these at Meijer today 50% off and am debating on whether or not I should get them. Any opinons on how this set will do after EOL are welcome.

Hello there, I would like to present my latest scenery - reconstruction of the racetrack from 1989 poster/catalog. It is not 100% the same, but most of it is. I would have to cut some street plates to have the same effect as in the posters

So I got this one drop shipped before I knew about the scam, ToysRus knows everything and told me to keep the set, I bought it for $45 but now it has been free as the seller refunded the purchase. I bought it because it was so cheap, now that it was free I am trying to decide what to do with it. If I hold on to it, I don't see it soaring in value later as the other City Harbor 7994 which had a very rare oversize boat hull and larger harbor has only doubled in value over the last few years and this set is much more common in nature. If I sell now, I would want to at least get $50 in my pocket or else I'd rather just build it myself and enjoy it, any thoughts on what to do?…

This one has absolutely exploded for being such a small set, I really wish I had gotten 10 of these instead of a couple of the large sets I have right now. We may not admit it often but the right small sets can hit them out of the park. However, knowing which ones will do this is a pretty big gamble.

How long do sets like the Grand Emporium(10211) stay in production? I noticed that some of the older Town modular sets like the Cafe Corner(10182) are selling for over $1000 on EBAY. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-10182-Cafe-Corner-NEW-/320781576179?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4ab01267f3#ht_596wt_1040 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-City-Town-10182-Cafe-Corner-New-Sealed-/300537352140?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45f96c0fcc#ht_581wt_905 WOW!

I have seen a bunch of Lego city sets on sale - I know a lot of them are remakes like the police stations over and over again. Are there any types which really are great investments though? Seems like a lot of the sets go down in value after they are released really quickly.

Can anyone help me to understand why the market value for set: 60000-1: Fire Motorcycle, a readily available $6.99 US set, is listed here on brickpicker.com (60000) with a new market value of $21.61 and a CAGR of 209.16% as of today April 5, 2013? I guess I'm trying to understand the maths behind the value number. Thanks in advance for your time... Sorry if it is a lame question.

Since I'm a recent buyer of Lego, I looked for several weeks to pick up a Lego City Fire Station (7208). I thought it would go great with the City Police Station and would be fun to setup and play with my son. I finally found two at Target and was able to pick them up during the BOGO 50% off sale they had a few weeks ago. I've since seen a few people pick them up for 50% off on clearance at Wal-Mart. Now the Lego City Fire Station (60004) is starting to show up at retail. I was surprised to see a new Fire Station set so soon? I personally like (7208) better and it looks more appealing with City theme, in my opinion. Which set do you think will have more longevi…

I have found 4202 mining truck for 17.49 and 4209 fireplane for 35.99. I looked it up here and they are CAGR -9.2% for the truck and CAGR -15.38% for the plane... Will this still be a good investment?

How come not all the sets which Lego said would be released has not yet been? For example, the coast guard set 60015?

It's usually $99 but found it for $70, debating whether or not to pick it up. A tear on the box where an old price tag was so may affect resale but would be nice to have just to build
