Hey everyone, So I had this vision to build a very small minimalistic black tiled frame that would be mounted behind my sets and lifted enough to be scene above the set. (rough sketch attached). I was curious if anyone had any idea on how to build these? Or have seen any sample builds out there? I figured I'd ask before I just jump in and start from scratch. I tried googling some, but a lot of them featuring gluing bricks ON existing frames and thats not what I want. I want to build something simple, all out of legos. That can "pinch" the print in a frame somehow. This frame does NOT need glass, I just need something that will hold maybe a 4"x6" print in place …

As the title suggests....When and where possible, once built, I display my sets in a glass cabinet so the dust is never a problem. For shelved displays, what do you guys do to keep your sets looking fresh and like new? A co2 keyboard duster seems like an obvious choice, but I'm still curious if there are simpler, better ideas?

Hey guys and gals I wanted to know if anyone has had any experience in building a stadium? Honestly I'm really not sure where to begin. Not even sure how big I would like it. I'm thinking similar to a modular in relation to approximate size and brick number. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

A while back I purchased some lego from one of the owners of Brick Bricks, a terminator salvation MOC, a few other bits and this along with a bulk lot of loose. After asking him I found out it was the beginning to a basement for the HH. Its been sat in the cupboard since, until a few day back when I fitted the HH to it a started covering the floors and adding details. Now don't get me wrong the majority of the work was not done by me, he is an amazing builder and has added secret passage ways sliding doors, prison cells, and there is a battery pack installed ready for a lighting kit. Any way just thought I'd share, get some tips and feedback. I've got a brick link o…

Hi there guys, so I have finished another micro lansdcape moc. This time its the forest moon of Endor. I have tried to keep everything on a 16x16 base in keeping with my other micro landscapes. Does it look too packed though?I have been inspired by a few mocs already out there (2muchcaffine and sarah von noppenquader) but added a few elements of my own.Lego Micro Moc - Endor byI have built my shuttle in 'flight mode' as if it is taking off from the platform (with Luke and Vader on board!) However the wings do fold down and it fits onto the platform if I wanted to. I just prefer the composition of the piece with the shuttle higher up.This was actually a lot trickier than I…

Hi there guys, this is my first post and I am sharing with you my first ever MOC! I would love to know your thoughts as well as any tips, advice or guidelines to help me with future builds. The courtyard is a two set build of the official 'Battle on Takodana' set and can actually slide out from the front as its own piece. The forest to the side of the castle (representing where Kylo Ren confronts Rey for the first time) is also its own piece and can slide out if you want to use it as a separate element. The main tower lifts off as does the entire roof section on the left hand side revealing more tables, patrons and the performance area for the band. The turret on…

Discussion / Gallery I just came across this while looking at a couple additions towards the last Iron Builder event that ended in a regretful forfeit by one competitor. Below the image above are links to the main discussion topic with rules for entering and gallery on Flickr if you're curious. I decided a little while back to bricklink my first retired set (3723). I chose this set as it's mostly made up of common bricks, but a lot of them, so I felt it would be pretty simple to do. I was checking out brickshelf and found a modified version of 3723 with improved legs that look just like a minifigure. I didn't realize until I found this this MOC that the 3723 legs are pretty lacking in design. I've tried to locate instructions on how to make these legs and have come up empty. Any ideas or help with where I can find instructions for these legs? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks! http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=339985

I have about a hundred lbs of loose, random LEGO and I need to figure out how to best sort and separate the pieces... what categories do you recommend for easy navigation? I have TONS of different pieces like train, boat, etc. stuff that I have no idea what to do with. Need to come up with a gameplan so I can figure out what to store it in, how many totes I need, whatever. Feeling super overwhelmed with this!

As of today, April 7th 2018, the original Space theme by LEGO hits the four Earthen decades mark. For many it was what brought us into the building block fold with their band of galactic explorers. Although the theme has not truly been continued in any official capacity outside of a few nods and promos, the classic legacy treks ever onward through the fans' creations with what is generally called as Neo Space. You can find a number of such various MOCs in the thread linked for all the classic Space teams. Classic Space @ 40 by justin_m_winn

About 1 year ago, I posted a thread asking which set. It was a lot of fun. While only a couple of sets from the list were built, many excluded from the list were. A couple of things were learned from the last vote that should improve this poll (e.g. less selections, not allowing multiple sections, 1 set per theme) *** There is only 1 rule. One vote per person. *** Voting will close this July 31th at 11:59PM EST.

First, let me start by saying that I must give credit where credit is due and I mostly copied this build as best I could from the pictures at this link https://www.flickr.c...N06/6937426891/ Second, I hope this is ok. I've always wanted to attempt this but I'm not very creative. I also wanted to make this my own by altering some things and not trying to make an exact copy. Level 4 (top): reserved for the 75034 Death Star Troopers set with large cannon. Level 3: Emperor's chair with window (will be accompanied by Royal Guards from 75034) Level 2: Stormtrooper's area? I'll place some Stormtroopers from set 75078 on this level. Level 1 (bottom): instead of the tra…

Perhaps I should have begun this a while ago, I have posted several MOCs on this site. But instead of posting each new MOC, I am beginning one that will show all from here on into the future. I wont repost one in the past, if interested go ahead and check them out here: http://www.moc-pages.com/home.php/100020 I am not an immensely popular builder. But I do have fun and i use a variety of different builds, build in many genres, using many techniques, and probably have some of the more diverse-types of builds out there. Mostly a technic builder, but sometimes i dabble in mechs, space, and Star Wars Genres. This is my latest build; as we get ready fo…

Hi all, I had a look to my LEGO collection over the weeked and had to note that I have really a lot of LEGO sets and to less space to build them up or to buy newer sets. Long story short I have to reduce my collection. Now I have a dilemma HOW to do it? a) Should I sell all sets from a theme which I don't like as much as other themes b) Should I sell all sets from a theme beside one or two great (exclusive) sets (e.g. Imperial Flagship from Pirates II theme) c) Should I sell some sets from a theme and keep simply all sets that I like Therefore i would appreciate to hear how do you collect your LEGO sets from a particulat …

So I guess you could consider me an AFOL now. Haven't built Legos in forever until I got the itch a week ago and bought the Parisian Restaurant. Now I might be addicted lol. I wanna build my own modular to connect to it now, but I'm curious on what the best way to gather an assortment of Legos it. I know the Lego Stores in malls have assorted pieces, but am wondering, is their selection small and basic or is it pretty good? Will I be able to get most of what I need from their assortment there or will I have to order parts from online? Thanks for any advise!

As some of you know, I'm attending college as a Film Production major concentrating in Production Design (set design). I have never attempted to build a large scale MOC before, but I am extremely interested in creating a MASSIVE Hollywood Studio Backlot MOC. The scene would be made up of various buildings, lots, and vehicles. I feel that creating this MOC will allow me to directly incorporate a lot of the awesome licensed sets threw depicting the "filming" of the movies. And because I am a Production Design major, I am very particular about the look and feel of things I create, so it is going to be authentic and over the top. I was wondering if any of you could poi…
