Let's say you wish to introduce someone to the grand world of Lego. What set would you pick as the best example to get this person going? Impressing him/her display wise can be one thing while deciding on something for them to build that keeps their interest piqued is another. Perhaps on that note this could be considered a two part question. What set makes the best display for showing off what Lego is to other people and potentially get them interested? What set would you pick out as an interesting design for someone else to build that could leave them wanting more?

The world's most recognizable energy company has constructed a massive industrial facility to store oil and petrochemical products for your energy needs! Add this realistic fuel terminal and storage facility to your train layout for an authentic industrial district. The design consists of easy to source, common parts with economic design to help create a sophisticated, professional, clean construction. The layout borrows real pipework engineering with large storage tanks, buffer tanks, bridging pipes for train and marine setups, underground field units and terminal pipeline to a tanker truck fueling station.

Anyone with the 10247 Ferris Wheel - I'd like to modify this build so that the "wheel" portion of the Ferris Wheel can be freed of the set and roll by itself. Can this be done? Seems like it would involve moving the seat gondolas closer to the middle of the wheel to start with...

He's magnific. He's the bravest secret agent in the world! Danger Mouse. Power House. He's the fastest, he's the greatest, he's the best! Danger Mouse. Danger Mouse! DANGER MOUSE!!!! Turns out my timing of this couldn't be more perfect seeing how the series has just been brought back this September a couple days ago to CBBC.

Hi guys, so I have been very busy recently with my builds! I have a lot to share starting with this recreation of a classic scene. IMG_20161203_151458 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr This build sits on a 12x14 base. I have tried to recreate the weather vane as faithfully to the film. IMG_20161203_135638 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr The Luke mini fig is a custom, which I dont often like using, however the printing work on this figure is outstanding and looks perfect. IMG_20161208_225410 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I am really happy with the technique to make the bridge and think it works really well. IMG_20161207_145604 by dimitrin…

I just shot and edited this yesterday. Launched about an hour ago. I'm looking for any feedback. I was tired of viewing a person ramble for 5 -7 minutes on a set that I just want to see being built with close-ups of details. Figured I'd just do it myself. Let me know what you think.

Hey Folks! So as you all know Dimensions came out with the Portal 2 level pack. I have long been a huge Portal fan and love the games. The writing/humour/gameplay is beyond anything else I've played. There was an Ideas project that ended up not making it into a final product: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/18258 which i was really rooting for. So when the Dimensions set came out i decided i would try to replicate this design so i could properly display the awesome Chell minifig. I also intend to make a GlaDOS that will hang in the top of a detolf (tops of detolfs have a hole) without all the support brackets used in the Ideas design. Below is the progress I've made so …

Hey guys, so I really enjoyed making my first micro landscape MOC (Jakku) so I decided to make a really iconic scene from the original trilogy and decided to make a Battle of Hoth MOC on a 16x16 plate.I tried to get all the iconic parts from the film into the MOC. Inspiration from a few various sources and a few twists of my own!The one thing I am aware of is that the snow speeder is completely out of proportion with the scene however I tried to make smaller models and they just didnt look right. Therefore I have tried to give the illusion that the speeder is flying high up above the battle.Im really pleased with how this MOC has turned out and would be great to hear any …

Hi guys, so I have finished another micro moc landscape. This time its of one of my favourite scenes from The Force Awakens. The crashed Star Destroyer is such an iconic image from not only the film but the trailers as well that I just had to make it in lego form. I am really pleased with Rey's speeder. I didn't think I would be able to build it at this scale but actually I think this is a pretty good representation. At only eight pieces I dont think its going to get any smaller either! (I did have one version with one less stud at the back but it looked too blocky) The Star Destoryer is a slight variation on a polybag release with a few twe…

I remember seeing the digital creation by BobDeQuatre months ago and thought that was impressive as heck but this.... this goes beyond anything conceivable as a MOC or work of art. Here is the backstory behind the character and design going into this. Eurobricks

We spent time buying and building LEGO which always tends to be fun. But sometimes, there's the unspoken task of taking apart sets, breaking them down, and storing them away in a giant box of LEGO to sort in 20 years or various bags. It's sometimes is unpleasant and challenging but fundamentally still apart of LEGO. So I figured I'd get it started. Start dis-assembling my 76042 SHIELD Helicarrier. So far, I'm going in reverse here. Here it is in its former resting location as a centerpiece. Time for the old girl to head to drydock. Managed to get one bag done. Only...many more to go. I might have underestimated how long this would take...

Hey guys, So of course I've read a lot on this subject, but out of a bit of annoyance I decided to rethink it a bit. I've organized by color, and sometimes particular types. Similar to the system you usually see in pics/vids. Maybe this idea sounds like a "noob" system because it's not entirely accurate and there will be duplication. I've also come up with it largely because I don't have enough pieces, and don't want to keep opening my "investment" sets (I've opened $2000 in lego in 4 months). But I want to keep building. I also think this system might be easier and more conducive to sitting down and having fun rather than spending so much time searching for pieces. Latel…

When I first got back into LEGO, I promised myself I'd stick to the Architecture series (the theme that got me back into LEGO) and a smattering of whatever I found interesting in Creator Expert and Lego CUUSOO/Ideas themes. But...I've run out of stuff to build! I'm thinking I need to "up it a notch" and start building UCS/Modulars to get my fix. I need projects that don't take one afternoon or even a whole day to build. I need a build that requires me to go to sleep before I awake to *possibly* finish it that day...Or the next. So far I have the following: 1. The whole Architecture series minus Trevi Fountain that my parents have "hinted" not so subt…
